The purpose of this qualitative study was to discover the opinions of the faculty of the education department in one of the public sector universities in Karachi Sindh about the quality assurance and accreditation process developed by one of the HEC's subunit NACTE and their readiness to initiate this process in their respective department. A mixed item questionnaire comprising close and open-ended questions was used to collect data from 16 faculty members teaching in the education department of the university. The faculty members serving at various positions were purposively selected for the study. Triangulation was attained using analysis of the collected data, document analysis of NACTE manuals, and HEC directives. The study concluded that the faculty of the education department lack awareness about the quality assurance and accreditation process, lack preparedness in many aspects for the achievement of national accreditation but they demonstrated interest in learning about the accreditation process. It is recommended that the National Accreditation Council for Teacher Education must new goals, including awareness of training sessions for the faculty of education, so they understand its importance and outcomes.

This semi-structured qualitative study aimed to explore the perceptions of the faculty of education departments in various universities about the quality assurance and accreditation process and their willingness to initiate this process in their respective departments. A mixed item questionnaire comprising close and open ended questions was used to collect data from 152 faculty members teaching in the education departments of 16 universities of Pakistan. The faculty members serving at various positions were purposively selected for the study. Triangulation was achieved through content analysis of the survey, document analysis of NACTE manuals and HEC directives. Finally, thematic analysis was completed to arrive at conclusions. The study concluded that the faculty of education departments lacks awareness about the quality assurance and accreditation process. Moreover, findings also suggest that universities are not prepared in many aspects for the achievement of national accreditation. However, in spite of their unwillingness to initiate efforts for internationalization, the faculty demonstrated a keen interest in learning about the accreditation process itself. It is recommended that National Accreditation Council for Teacher Education must set new targets to meet the goals of the accreditation of teacher education in Pakistan.

The study aimed to identify the status of applying the principles of accountability in the public and private universities in Jordan. This was done by comparing between Yarmouk University and Jerash University from the perspective of the employees. The study sample consisted of 250 faculty members and one administrator at Yarmouk University and Jerash University. The questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection. The study reached several conclusions, most notably of which include the presence of statistically significant differences in the reality of applying the accountability principles at universities in general, and in the administrative, and academic fields. This, however, is dependent on the variable of the university in favor of Jerash University. The study concluded on a number of recommendations most important of which is the necessity of activating the accountability mechanisms and tools in three areas: administrative, and academic areas of public universities in a higher degree. It also includes a commitment with unified criteria of accountability to ensure the maintenance of an acceptable level of justice and transparency.

It has been long known that quality assurance (QA) is a system to develop quality standards in Thailand.  However, it is not easy to implement the concept throughout a whole organization, for example, to include in a university, faculty members, program specifications, management team, and so on.   This paper is to explain a case of strategic management of quality assurance using education for sustainable development (ESD) in the university with social enterprise concept.  An example of the university with the mission statement of “to serve society” can drawn more attention using ESD concept to faculty in stead of QA regulation concept.  The conceptual framework of the implementation was shown how QA can be developed in curriculum embedding with an ESD concept.

The present study aimed to detect the level of faculty members’ attitudes at public universities towards the performance appraisal process and its relationship with some variables (gender, college, scientific rank, university, teaching experience, and age). The study sample consisted of (320) faculty members of both sexes in three public universities in northern Jordan, namely (Al Yarmouk University, Jordan University of Science and Technology, Al-Balqa Applied University). The results showed that the attitudes of faculty members towards the performance appraisal process was moderate, and the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) in the degree of attitudes of faculty members towards the performance appraisal process in the public universities due to gender, college, scientific rank, teaching experience, and age. As for the university variable, the differences between the averages were not statistically significant.

Faculty at the special education department of the University held mixed concerns about e-learning opportunities for Students with Disabilities (SWD) during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research investigated their attitude using a questionnaire survey. The sample was 70 faculty members who specialized in tutoring students with disabilities. The Pearson regression (0.655) established the reliability of the data collection instrument. The results showed that faculty members held a positive attitude toward the application of e-learning technologies for SWD and supported its ability to allow for cognitive, social, and education interaction during the pandemic. While faculty agreed the method was no more time-consuming than regular classroom sessions, they were reluctant to invest the time in training. The research concluded the views of department members in the design of appropriate systems/curricula would help to eliminate barriers and encourage more support for e-learning of SWDs during the pandemic. The faculty had several recommendations for the successful application of online learning during the pandemic for special needs students. Most suggested the need for adequate educational resources within the departments, and appropriate software and hardware to enable teaching appropriate skills to the learners with disabilities. There was a further recommendation that e-learning should be incorporated into the curricular programs.

The present study investigated the undergraduates’ attitudes towards adopting a flipped learning approach in Jordanian universities. An analytical descriptive approach was adopted. The purposive sampling technique was used to choose a sample. This sample consists from 392 BA students. The researchers selected those students from the faculty of education at the University of Jordan. The forms of the questionnaire were distributed by hand. They were retrieved, but 4 ones have been excluded. The final sample consists from 388 BA students. The researchers concluded that the students show positive attitudes towards adopting this learning approach. They found that the flipped learning approach enables students to learn at their own pace and motivates them to learn. It was found that the flipped learning approach facilitates the process of taking notes and improves the students’ comprehension of information. The researchers recommend enacting policies for encouraging faculty members at Jordanian universities to adopt a flipped instructional approach. They recommend using social media by faculty members at Jordanian universities when adopting a flipped instructional approach. That shall motivate students to learn.

This study aimed to know the psychological trends of male and female students of the Faculty of Education in Ndjamena- Chad, the University of SEBHA towards Faculty members. The research also reveals the differences in their psychological trends and their relationship to some variables, such as social variable (male or female) and major (mathematics, physics, chemistry, nature, education, psychology, philosophy and sociology, and education performance variable (first, second, third, fourth year). The study society reached up to 163 male and female students, which is 70% of the initial study society. The study society has is selected in an arbitrary and layered manner. The researchers used the descriptive approach to describe, analyze, and interpret the psychological trends of male and female students of the Faculty of Education in Ndjamena- Chad, University of SEBHA. The researcher designed a questionnaire in order to recognize the psychological trends of males and females towards Faculty members. The questionnaire is formulated in 20 parts, covered three areas, which is the level of contribution of a faculty member in guiding, orientation, teaching strategies, and extracurricular activities. The study reached a number of results, including, that the psychological attitudes of male and female students of the Faculty of Education in Ndjamena- Chad, the University of SEBHA towards faculty members are positive. Moreover, there are statistical differences in the psychological attitudes of male and female students of the Faculty of Education in Ndjamena- Chad; the University of SEBHA towards faculty members is positive following the gender variable (male and female) in favor of the female gender variable. The study reveals that the statistically significant differences in the psychological attitudes of male and female students of the Faculty of Education in Ndjamena- Chad; the University of SEBHA towards faculty members according to the variable of the scientific major (mathematics, physics, chemistry, sociology, psychology, nature) in favor of the scientific major sociology. The study also reveals that the statistically significant differences in the psychological attitudes of male and female students of the Faculty of Education in Ndjamena- chad; the University of SEBHA towards faculty members according to the variable academic level (first, second, third, and fourth-year) in favor of the third year. The researchers presented a number of recommendations such as the faculty administration should concentrate on developing the positive psychological attitudes of male and female students and continuously improve it through effective student guidance and orientation survives in the faculty. The administration should also work in assessing the psychological attitudes of male and female students towards faculty members, majors and services that the faculty introduce from time to time. Moreover, the administration should offer specialized training in the area of use of educational technology for faculty members in the faculty.

Teachers’ belief, attitude and experience of peer observation considerably affect their willingness to observe their colleagues or be observed by other faculty members. Peer observation is regarded as a sensitive practice in many higher educational institutions due to its overshadowed values and teachers’ intimidation of being judged by their colleagues. This study reveals how peer observation is perceived and employed by university teachers examining their attitude towards the process. Data was collected based on a quantitative method; a survey questionnaire was distributed among 230 teachers of local and international universities in Uzbekistan. The findings show that most teachers treat peer observation as a compulsory part of the annual workload (appraisal). Based on the results, the researchers provide recommendations for educators to benefit from this vital tool to improve their teaching skills.

This study aimed at identifying the physical and human Constituents for university environment as seen by female students, determining the relationship between the university environment and life skills, and identifying the differences between university environment and life skills according to the following variables: academic specialization and academic level. The sample of the study consisted of 181 female students, 146 were from special education department and 35 female students from art education department, the researcher applied the descriptive analytical approach. To achieve the goal of the study the researcher prepared a questionnaire for university environment consisted of 19 fields and a questionnaire for life skills included 5 skills Prepared Alrabani (2008). The following statistical treatments were applied: arithmetic means, standard deviation, T- test, one- way Anova, Scheffe test, the findings of the study indicated the following results: there is a highly significant correlation between mean of the grades of university environment questionnaire and life skills questionnaire, there is no significant differences attributed to the academic specialization between the mean of the grades of the university environment questionnaire except one field "the central library", there are significant differences attributed to the academic level on some fields of the university environment questionnaire, there are no significant differences between the grades of the life skills questionnaire. In light of these findings the researcher proposed some recommendations and suggestions.
