This article offers a semi-systematic literature review on the concept of food values. Specifically, 36 relevant research articles were analyzed. The results underscore the novelty and rapid popularity of this concept in different professional, scientific, and academic fields. Among the findings, the article highlights how the concept of food values has evolved to accommodate the features and behaviors of specific markets. Nonetheless, one can group food values into three distinct clusters. This article expands our understanding on the evolution of food values along different dimensions (various clusters and segments related to geographic regions and social classes). It also identifies several research gaps and translates them into different research proposals.

In general, each student has different abilities, characteristics, characteristics, and even behavior, this has become sunnatullah so that between them there are advantages and disadvantages, with differences and diversity of abilities there must be differences in academic and non-academic fields, including in terms of interests and skills. In learning Islamic Religious Education, there is one indicator and learning goal that must be achieved by students, which must be able to read verses or suras in the Qur'an properly and correctly. able or less able in terms of reading the Qur'an properly and correctly. To overcome this, there must be appropriate and fast steps that will be taken by the author so that students can be enthusiastic and motivated in participating in learning, especially learning to read the suras in the Qur'an, so that learning objectives can be achieved properly. The first step to be taken is to make improvements to the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) through the implementation of lesson study activities. In Lesson Study activities. There are three stages that are carried out, namely the PLAN stage (planning), DO stage (implementing), and the SEE stage (reflection), these three stages are carried out simultaneously in 1 cycle, and are carried out continuously. Lesson Study is an effective way to improve the learning process, which can improve student learning outcomes.

Marketing Science authors are facing challenging times, in which we have no monopoly over any topic. Yet we must produce original and relevant research in a timely manner. We are also living through an exciting era in which many constituencies in other academic fields, industry, and public policy are interested in our research and we have the opportunity to have significant impact. The continued success of Marketing Science over the next few years will be the result of the creativity and rigor of authors and the diligence and insight of reviewers, associate editors, and senior editors. The result will be a secured place both among the top business journals and the top social science journals. I plan to do my part by helping to reduce the “time to market” of our research (time from initial submission to acceptance) without compromising on quality and by continuing to invest in Frontiers in Marketing Science.

Stigma and discrimination against persons with mental disorder has been a global issue. The negative impacts of this includes serious barrier to supportive government policies and detrimental effects to the quality of life of the stigmatized persons. Earlier studies suggest that stigma has been observed among professionals such as medical doctors, nurses, and counselors. This research aims to understand how students of related academic fields such as medicine, psychology, and counseling regard persons with schizophrenia as measured by the Bogardus Social Distance Scale. The study was conducted to 230 students studying in health-related fields (Medicine, Psychology, and Counseling students). Analysis of data were conducted with an independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Simple Regression techniques. The results show that students from the health-related field have serious issues with stigma. The majority of the students are not willing to include a person with schizophrenia as their family member or caregiver. Students who have had earlier contact them tend to have lower stigma. However, students who have family members with schizophrenia have a higher stigma. The medical students tend to have higher stigma compared to psychology and other students.

The Oral History of Tibetan Studies (OHTS) project collects memories of individuals who have contributed to the formation of Tibetan Studies as an independent academic discipline in the second half of the twentieth century. Through interview recordings, it explores two aspects: the development of the discipline itself, and the distinctive life-stories of the individuals involved. The project includes scholars and academics, Tibetan teachers and traditional scholars, artists, photographers, book publishers, and sponsors. The oral testimonies also provide crucial information on related academic fields, such as Buddhist and Religious Studies, Anthropology, and Asian Studies more generally, and present a kaleidoscope of broader social, cultural, and educational developments. Of particular interest is the interconnection with Buddhist Studies, as exemplified in the UK and through links with the International Association of Buddhist Studies. This report aims to introduce the project, its open access online archive, and future plans.

Performance is an interesting subject of study and it is the point of intersection for many academic fields within humanities and social sciences. The studies on performance, thus, could provide opportunities for exploring different aspects of human behaviours and their creative reflections on the matters that are intrinsic to the concept of performance. In pursuit of performance studies, one could come across various knots that connect performance with every aspect of the socio-cultural life of people by redefining the stereotypical notions of “stage”, “actors” and “audience.” Further, the studies on performance could not be placed on a single trajectory as several approaches, perspectives and orientations that have emerged ever since the delimitation of performance happened by opening up its boundary for interdisciplinary studies lead by the undefined ‘performance studies’ of Richard Schechner. However, by dealing with the performance as a live presentation in all perceived forms of “stages”, a significant question has been asked in this paper as a token of beginning on the “problematic” presence of audience as outsiders (non-native and non-belonging) who, by their nature of reception and response, are understood as those who have no concern either for the performance or for the performers. While each form, in the folkloristic sense, is comprising of its natural context along with a dedicated or defined audience, it seems to be a surprising phenomenon as it developed over a period of time as a result of the prodigious and irresistible globalization process. Thus, the unintended and unsolicited transformation, as an impact of globalization, in the traditional and modern performances has shaped the nature and role of ‘audience’, making it an insignificant and irrelevant entity for the consumption with aesthetic appreciation and conviction on the values demonstrated. So this article problematizes the nature of audience in the decontextualized performance context by drawing insights from performance studies, semiotics, and other cognate disciplines. Based on the insights drawn from the fieldwork on Sarhul festival held in Ranchi district a few years ago, this paper argues that the role of audience cannot be understood unless there is a clear perspective on the nature of performance and performance tradition as defined by the community.

Equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) have become essential considerations in different academic fields in recent years, attracting an increasing number of voices and perspectives from different groups. While recent contributions have shed light on the barriers faced by some groups, the concept of EDI and implementation of solutions are still in their infancy in ecology and evolution. There is a clear lack of an intersectionality framework that is more inclusive of the global diversity of researchers. As researchers in ecology and evolution from the Global South and Global North with different backgrounds, we recognize the need to present a global view of EDI in order to highlight the role of intersectionality where researchers from Global South are not only impeded by discrimination, but also by other cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic factors that affect their level of training, ultimately reducing their likelihood of reaching leadership positions. We present a simple model of intersectionality that explains the main drivers of the variation in academic success among researchers, and highlight that most of the variation is determined by factors that individuals have no control over (e.g. place of birth, gender, ethnicity). We recommend measures to increase the representation of the global diversity in the field of ecology and evolution in order to collectively solve global societal and environmental issues.

As a window city for China to face internationalization, Zhuhai is quite suitable for linguists to look into Expanding Circle Countries’ English settings. Bilingual landmarks indicate the use of English in the local public sphere and the degree of the popularity of English. This study investigated the current situation of English in Zhuhai from two academic fields: linguistics landscape and language policy. The two types of language policy: the top-down model and the bottom-up mode, are used in the analysis of Zhuhai sociolinguistic phenomenon. An analysis from the language policy perspective reveals how the linguistic landscape has been interpreted from diversified dimensions as both a concept and a practice. The study evinces that the different target tourists and the various functions of facilities are two influential factors in the advancement of Zhuhai’s English signage.
