The central theme of the research work was to examine the impact of International Trade of Higher Education (IToHE) on universities' performance. The nature of the article was descriptive; as a consequence, the data of the study was assembled by means of survey and interview. The targeted population was comprised of all BS, MS, PhD students, faculty and administration from all general public universities of Punjab, which were included in the HEC ranking in 2015. The purposive sampling technique and multiphase strategy were applied to specify the sample. Data was collected via two research instruments. To assemble quantitative data, a questionnaire was planned on six factors, i.e. Leadership role (LR), Quality Teaching (QT), Research (R), University Ranking (UR), Community Perception (CP) and International Trade of Higher Education (IToHE). According to the triangulation result, findings illustrated that Academia should do productive work instead of producing passive labor. The study recommended further researches in the field of cross border mobility and its role in university, society and country development.

El artículo aborda la necesidad de la creatividad que se impone en la era actual del conocimiento y la importancia que  constituyen las tecnologías como herramientas indispensables en todas las esferas de la vida. En Trabajo toma como campo investigativo los cambios que se llevan a cabo en esta esfera en la Universidad Estatal del Sur de Manabí y la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo, Ecuador, donde se toman como objeto el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje en la Educación Superior. El objetivo de la investigación fue comunicar el impacto de las Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones en las Universidades, donde se hace énfasis en el nuevo rol de los docentes y su nuevo desempeño de facilitadores del aprendizaje en los educandos a través en los nuevos escenarios mediados por las tecnologías. Para el desarrollo exitoso de esta memoria investigativa se   usó como metodología instrumentos que se basaron fundamentalmente en documentos referativos que ayudaron a justificar el problema de investigación, el cual consistía fundamentalmente en el impacto de las nuevos  dispositivos tecnológicos y su utilidad en los centros de altos estudios del país. Se concluyó que las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación son herramientas indispensables en la docencia y al mismo tiempo la forma de intervenir en el diseño educativo que nos llevan a explorar nuevos métodos docentes en los escenarios educativos mediados por estas. Se constató además que estas herramientas favorecen satisfactoriamente al proceso si se tiene una buena preparación por parte del docente.   Palabras clave: Herramientas tecnológicas, universidades, formación, docencia universitaria, proceso de enseñanza – aprendizaje Impact of information technology and communications: a look at higher education  Abstract The article states the need of the creativity that prevails in the current era of knowledge and the importance that technologies constitute in all spheres of life. In field research work it takes as changes take place in this area in Southern State University of Manabí and the Technical University of Babahoyo, Ecuador, where they are taken as an object the process of learning in higher education. The aim of the research was to communicate the impact of Information Technology and Communications in the universities, where the emphasis is on the new role of teachers and their new performance of facilitators of learning in students through the new scenarios mediated by technologies. For the successful development of this research report it was used as a methodology instruments based mainly on referative documents that helped to justify the research problem, which consisted mainly of the impact of new technological devices and their use in the centers of higher learning in the country. It was concluded that information technology and communication are indispensable tools in teaching and at the same time how to intervene in the educational design that lead us to explore new teaching methods in educational settings mediated by these. It was further found that these tools successfully promote the process if there is a good preparation by the teacher.

Higher education governance, legal and regulatory regimes in Ghana remain an important factor in the ever-complex higher educational landscape and its attendant funding challenges. The increased global demand for higher education reforms further strengthens the importance of higher education governance, legal and regulatory framework role in assuring sustainable funding of higher education. The purpose of this study is to measure the relationship between the governance and regulatory variables influence on financial sustainability. The research work utilises quantitative research methodology with a well validated research instrument to undertake this correlational study. The study outcome revealed a statistically significant relationship between the combined effects of the variables whiles two out of the eight variables were found be significant in predicting best fit equation for financial sustainability. The research recommendations should afford higher education practitioners the opportunity to undertake relevant reforms of the current governance, legal and regulatory practices in the country.

The study was conducted on a sample of 320 high school students situated in Ranchi District. The main purpose of this research work has to see the impact of parental behaviour on adolescent’s frustration level. Three dimensional parental behaviour inventory developed by Ojha( 2009) and Frustration test developed by Chauhan and Tiwari (1972) were used for data collection work. The stratified random sampling technique was used during data collection. The main results indicate that adolescents having restrictive parents experience significantly more frustration as compared to adolescents having permissive parents. Result further revealed that restrictive father groups are more frustrated than permissive groups (‘t’=2.82;P<0.01).

Purpose: Primary purpose of this research was to understand the reasons for emergence of business management in higher education in Pakistan. This study was conducted to explore the core reasons and factors behind the students' attitude while selecting management studies as their study option. Methodology/sample: The research work is quantitative one based on field survey. Primary data were collected from 210 students from 10 different private, semi-private and public sector universities of Karachi, studying management science. Analysis of the data was undertaken through statistical software SPSS. Regression, ANOVA and Correlation tests were applied for analysis. Findings: The results have shown most of the students got admission in management sciences programs due to their personal interest, but the choice does not vary due to market trend. Other two variables, larger number of institutes offering management science and employment opportunities do have a significant impact on the students' choice to study management sciences Practical Implications: Findings of this research are likely to help the think tanks, higher education commission, government and other stakeholders pay attention to understand the impact of rising trend of business education in Pakistan and overall dynamics and mechanism of providing business education in Pakistan.

The challenges to higher education institutions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic are placing new and demanding pressures on the academic deanship. A leadership role focusing on guiding teams of professionals toward meeting internally defined goals now requires critical examination. This study analyzes the impact of the pandemic on higher education institutions and particularly the academic deanship. A model for the deanship in a post pandemic institution is included.

Efforts to achieve educational goals can’t be separated from the performance of schools in realizing these goals, to achieve this involves many parties and factors that influence it. This study aims to describe the impact of principal’s leadership and teacher’s teaching performance in an effort to increase school effectiveness. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Population are 466 schools, samples of 210 schools were taken by proportionated stratified random sampling technique, and a total of 2,730 respondents consisted of principals, teachers, students, and school committees. The instrument used was a questionnaire, data processing techniques using the Structural Equation Model. The results indicate that principals’ leadership and teachers’ teaching performance positively and significantly influence school effectiveness, which means that school effectiveness directly determined by the presence of effective principal’s leadership and high teacher teaching performance. The principal's leadership as a driver variable is proven to be able to trigger the teaching performance of teachers to increase school effectiveness. The high effectiveness of this school is inseparable from the effective teacher’s teaching performance. Teachers' teaching performance must be continuously improved to improve school effectiveness. This teaching performance can be improved through the principal's leadership role.

Purpose: This study aims to explore the impact of authentic leadership on employee performance and the moderating role of Islamic work ethics. There is little research on authentic leadership and employee performance in Pakistan's higher education sector. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of authentic leadership with Islamic work ethics on employee performance. Methodology: This is a quantitative study. In this study, the convenience sampling method was used as a sampling technique. The data was collected from the higher education sector in Peshawar, and a questionnaire was circulated to 220 employees working in the various higher education sector in Peshawar. Data were analyzed by using SPSS 22 version. Results: The results show that authentic leadership has a significant impact on employee performance. Authentic leadership also significantly influences IWE. Similarly, the interactive impact of authentic leadership and Islamic work ethics on employee performance was also found to be significant. Applications of this study: This research can be very effective for improving authentic leadership strategies to improve the performance of employees in the higher education sector in Peshawar, Pakistan. The Novelty of the study: The contribution of this research is Islamic work ethics using the first time between authentic leadership and employee performance, which has not been used so far. It has been found that Islamic work ethics positively moderate the link between authentic leadership and employee performance.

The world recently changed rapidly in all fields. Higher education is one of the sectors that cannot avoid these changing. An existed Higher education is able to survive at this time is a university that is always willing to make the strategy changing and culture of the organization. And it is also supported by the existence of a strategic leader in the organization. This study aims to know the impact of strategic leadership and organizational culture on changes in the organization of higher education in Surabaya, East Java. The research method used in this research is quantitative. This research population was 231 study programs with minimum accredited criteria B. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling,  so the sample of this research was 72 study programs. Data analysis method used is Partial Least Square. The results showed that the strategic leadership and organizational culture each had a positive and significant influence on the changing in the organization of higher education in Surabaya, East Java.

The higher education plays as leadership role in the system of education. Quality education can ensure security, welfare and prosperity of a nation. The key factors influencing the quality of higher education is the quality of faculty, curriculum standards, technological infrastructure available, research environment, accreditation regime, administrative policies, financing, evaluation and good governance. The main objectives of the study were (1) To evaluate the indicators of good teaching. (2) To examine the institutional policies for valuing the teaching. (3) To examine the contribution of teaching towards professional development of teachers. (4) To find out institutional efforts for enhancing the professional development of teachers. For study purposes five federal universities of Islamabad were taken and their faculties were included in the population. Twenty teachers of each university were taken as the sample of the study. This sample was selected with the help of the students from each department. As students are considered tougher evaluators of the teachers so the selection of the good teachers was completed on the basis of the five common competencies such as competencies related to subject and subject area teaching, competencies related to teaching and learning, competencies in research work and competencies related to professional behaviour .This survey type study was conducted through a questionnaire. The study concluded that good teaching does not pay any benefit to teachers except self-satisfaction and also finding that the requirements for quality teaching are not available in universities. The present study recommends the higher quality of teaching may be ranked and recognized at local, national and international level.

The purpose of the research is to find out the impact of continuous assessment techniques such as oral tests, written test home assignments and re-cape exercises on the academic performance of students at the secondary level. Present research work revolves around some salient issues on continuous assessment implementation with emphasis on the empirical impact of continuous assessment on the academic performance of students in secondary schools. The descriptive research design is most suitable for data collection. Researchers use a simple random sampling technique for sample selection. This study was continued with a sample of 226 secondary school teachers, of which 80 female teachers and 146 were male and 300 students of secondary level. The finding of research shows that four continuous assessment techniques have a significant effect on academic performance. It is recommended that techniques such as oral tests, written tests, home assignments and re-cape exercises should be used for enhancing the academic performance of students at the secondary level.
