Observing tension in music is generally a very sensitive research field. Authors like Wallace Berry and Joseph Swain believe that this is a principle which is the most fundamental aspect of music experience through its history, no matter which music language or compositional system it is. Starting from such general assumptions that it is possible to determine the parameters which affect the feeling of tension and relaxation in dodecaphonic music as well, the possibility of recording the closures that are the basis for the structural delineation of the sections and the determination of phrases and sentences in the musical flow is imposed. The system surely exists, the only question is whether we are able to perceive it in a new, dodecaphonic music flow? Is it possible in a dodecaphonically organized work to find dissonant and consonant harmonies, and thus demonstrate the elements of tension and resolution, or do some other musical components have the primacy in organizing and establishing hierarchical levels in the definition of closures in dodecaphonic music? Relying on the writings of authors who have dealt with this or similar theme (Babbitt 1949, Forte 1973, Lerdahl 1989, Boss 1994, Rothgeb 1997, Farbood 2006, Granot and Eithan 2011, Zatkalik 2016), this work will illustrate the systematization and ranking of closures at the hierarchical level at which they operate in the examples of Webern’s dodecaphonic music (op. 20, op. 21, op. 22, op. 24, op. 27, op. 28 i op. 30). Also, this work deals at a certain extent with the terminology of the cadence-closure. The parameters that are most important for the construction of the closures in Webern’s dodecaphony works are determined, and terminology is proposed: perfect closure – closure – semiclosure. The application of these ideas was demonstrated in the third movement of Webern’s String Quartet op. 28.

The article is dedicated to the determination of the peculiarity of stages of legal support of academic virtue in Ukraine. It has been proven that the first stage for development of legal support to academic virtue has started in 2004, when the all-European processes of increasing the role of universities within a society have been initiated as well as the transformation ofrequirements to the participants of educational activity. This stage has been characterized by the acceptance of a Bucharestdeclaration on ethical values and principles of higher education in the European region (2-5 September 2004) and its result has been the establishment of an overall European discourse of academic virtue which included pedagogical, ethical and legalaspects of the phenomenon under research. It has been pointed out, that the third stage of legal support to academic virtue is related with stipulating in 2011 within aNational framework, the qualifications of adherence to proper academic virtue as the one that is considered to be necessary toinitiate, plan, implement and correct the subsequent process of a thorough scientific research of the level of basic skills andabilities. From this moment on there’s an active development of the terminological core dedicated to the issue of academicvirtue, there’s a preparation of suggestions to be implemented to the legislation on education, particularly, by determining thelegal definition of academic virtue, the forms and types of academic responsibility, and also the active reaffirming of ethicalrequirements on the academic virtues of teachers, scientists and individuals obtaining education in the codes of academicvirtues, approved in the course of gatherings of working teams or the scientific councils of universities.

James Tenney reflects on form in twentieth-century music, first by offering an alternative to the conventional definition of form and introducing a number of new terms. He then considers three factors that determine form: shape, structure, and state. In relation to these factors, he describes three aspects of form to consider at each hierarchical level: the structural (internal relations), the morphological (shape), and the statistical (state, condition). These relations between state, shape, and structure at adjacent hierarchical levels are relevant to the old problem of “form versus content.” Tenney also emphasizes the importance of perception in the matter of form and proceeds with a discussion of new formal conditions in twentieth-century music at each of the three hierarchical levels he mentioned earlier in relation to sound elements, the clang, and the sequence. Finally, he explores higher levels of organization and perception with regards to shape and structure.

Summary Aim of the study was to find out wether there is a common stop of growth of mandibular bone, so that no individual determination of the optimal time for surgery in patients with asymmetric mandibular bone growth is needed. As there are no epiphyseal plates in the mandibular bone, stop of growth cannot be determined on X-ray films. Methods: Bone scans of 731 patients [687 patients (324 male, 363 female) under 39 y for exact determination of end of growth and 44 (21 male, 23 female) patients over 40 y for evaluation of nongrowth dependant differences in tracer uptake] were reviewed for the study. All the patients were examined 3 hours after injection of 99mTc-DPD. Tracer uptake was measured by region of interest technique in different points of the mandibular bone and in several epiphyseal plates of extremities. Results: Tracer uptake in different epiphyseal plates of the extremities shows strong variation with age and good correlation with reported data of bone growth and closure of the epiphyseal plates. The relative maximum of bone activity is smaller in mandibular bone than in epiphyseal plates, which show well defined peaks, ending at 15-18 years in females and at 18-21 years in males. In contrast, mandibular bone shows no well defined end of growing but a gradually reduction of bone activity which remains higher than bone activity in epiphyseal plates over several years. Conclusion: No well defined end of growth of mandibular bone exists. The optimal age for surgery of asymmetric mandibular bone growth is not before the middle of the third decade of life, bone scans performed earlier for determination of bone growth can be omitted. Bone scans performed at the middle of the third decade of life help to optimize the time of surgical intervention.

The article raises the problem of classification of the concepts of computer science and informatics studied at secondary school. The efficiency of creation of techniques of training of pupils in these concepts depends on its solution. The author proposes to consider classifications of the concepts of school informatics from four positions: on the cross-subject basis, the content lines of the educational subject "Informatics", the logical and structural interrelations and interactions of the studied concepts, the etymology of foreign-language and translated words in the definition of the concepts of informatics. As a result of the first classification general and special concepts are allocated; the second classification — inter-content and intra-content concepts; the third classification — stable (steady), expanding, key and auxiliary concepts; the fourth classification — concepts-nouns, conceptsverbs, concepts-adjectives and concepts — combinations of parts of speech.

Choice of profession is a social phenomenon that every person has to face in life. Numerous studies convince us that not only the well-being of a person depends on the chosen work, but also his attitude to himself and life in general, therefore, the right and timely professional choice is very important. Research about factors of career self-determination of students of higher education institutions in Ukraine shows that self-determination is an important factor in the socialization of young person, and the factors that determine students' career choices become an actual problem of nowadays. The present study involved full-time and part-time students of Institute of Philology and Mass Communications of Open International University of Human Development "Ukraine" in order to examine the factors of career self-determination of students of higher education institutions (N=189). Diagnostic factors of career self-determination of students studying in the third and fourth year were carried out using the author's questionnaire. Processing of obtained data was carried out using the Excel 2010 program; factorial and comparative analysis were applied. Results of the study showed that initial stage of career self-determination falls down on the third and fourth studying year at the university, when an image of future career and career orientations begin to form. At the same time, the content of career self-determination in this period is contradictory and uncertain, therefore, the implementation of pedagogical support of this process among students is effective.

The concept of failed state came to the fore with the end of the Cold War, the collapse of the USSR and the disintegration of Yugoslavia. Political violence is central in these discussions on the definition of the concept or the determination of its dimensions (indicators). Specifically, the level of political violence, the type of political violence and intensity of political violence has been broached in the literature. An effective classification of political violence can lead us to a better understanding of state failure phenomenon. By using Tilly’s classification of collective violence which is based on extent of coordination among violent actors and salience of short-run damage, the role played by political violence in state failure can be understood clearly. In order to do this, two recent cases, Iraq and Syria will be examined.

The paper purpose is the effectiveness estimation in the technological equipment use, taking into account its reliability and productivity for defective transmission units of buses. The problem consists in the determination of time to be spent on repair of bus transmission units taking into account technological equipment reliability. In the paper there is used a probabilistic method for the prediction bus transmission units, and also a method of the dynamics of averages which allow ensuring minimum of costs for units downtime during repair and equipment cost. The need for repair of transmission units (gear box) arises on an average after 650 hours, the average productivity of the bench makes 4.2 bus / hour. The bench fails on the average after 4600 hours of work, the average time of the bench makes 2 hours. In such a way the solution of the problem specified allows analyzing the necessity of time decrease for transmission unit repair to avoid long downtimes of buses in repair areas without negative impact upon high repair quality and safety during the further operation.

Date of «birth» of phytosociology (phytocenology) is considered to be 1910, when at the third International Botanical Congress in Brussels adopted the definition of plant association in the wording Including Flaó and K. Schröter (Flahault, Schröter, 1910; Alexandrov, 1969). The centenary of this momentous event in the history of phytocenology devoted to the 46th edition of the Yearbook «Braun-Blanquetia», which began to emerge in 1984 in Camerino (Italy) and it has a task to publish large geobotanical works. During the years of the publication of the Yearbook on its pages were published twice work of the Russian scientists — «The steppes of Mongolia» (Z. V. Karamysheva, V. N. Khramtsov. Vol. 17. 1995), and «Classification of continental hemiboreal forests of Northern Asia» (N. B. Ermakov in collaboration with English colleagues and J. Dring, J. Rodwell. Vol. 28. 2000).
