Abstract: Onions are one type of food that is often used by various levels of society. Onions have a high value in their needs. Onion processing there are several obstacles that make production inhibit, namely in the stripping process. The manual stripping process takes extra time. The purpose of this final project will be to make an onion peeler machine more effective and efficient in its production process.Mechanization of agriculture will greatly assist the community in processing agricultural products, in this case shallots. The design of this shallot peeler machine uses a manual system because it was designed for residential scale industrial needs. Therefore the design is made with a simple form and at the time of making it will not cost a fortune.In this research, an onion peeling machine with a capacity of 2 kg of onion will be designed with a planned engine speed of 200 rpm. What will be analyzed later is the power needed to rotate and the force that must be exerted by the worker's arm to operate the machine.Keywords: Onion, onion peeler, power, styleAbstrak: Bawang merupakan salah satu jenis bahan pangan yang sering digunakan oleh berbagai lapisan masyarakat. Bawang memiliki nilai tinggi dalam kebutuhannya. Proses pengolahan bawang terdapat beberapa kendala yang membuat produksinya menjadi menghambat yaitu dalam proses pengupasan. Proses pengupasan secara manual membutuhkan waktu ekstra lama. Tujuan dari proyek akhir ini akan membuat mesin pengupas bawang yang lebih efektif dan efisien dalam proses produksinya.Mekanisasi pertanian akan sangat membantu masyarakat dalam mengolah hasil pertanian, dalam hal ini bawang merah. Perancangan mesin pengupas bawang merah ini menggunakan sistem manual karena memang dirancang untuk keperluan industri skala perumahan. Maka dari itu perancangan dibuat dengan bentuk yang sederhana dan pada pembuatannya nanti tidak memakan biaya yang mahal.Pada penelitian kali ini akan dirancang mesin pengupas kulit bawang dengan kapasitas 2 Kg bawang dengan putaran mesin yang direncanakan sebesar 200 rpm. Hal yang nanti akan dianalisis adalah daya yang dibutuhkan untuk memutar serta gaya yang harus dikeluarkan lengan pekerja untuk mengoperasikan mesin tersebut.Kata Kunci: Bawang, Mesin pengupas bawang, daya, gaya

Loss of agricultural products occurs in post-harvest handling process. The threshing process is part of the rice post-harvest that can be done with various techniques and various types of rice thresher machine. Multipurpose thresher is  one type of thresher that can thresh the grains such as rice and soybeans. The aim of Performance efficiency test is to determine the performance efficiency of the thresher. The parameters measured were threshing capacity, threshing efficiency, and thresher quality. Testing is done by using the engine speed of 2500 rpm and 3000 rpm, with the tested varieties of rice varieties Ciherang and Bestari. Test results show that the efficiency of Ciherang varieties cutting is better if using the speed of rotation 2500 rpm engine. If using a speed of 3000 rpm occurs losses results. As for Bestari varieties more efficient if using a speed of 3000 rpm. The higher the speed of rotation of the machine then the level of grain damage will also increase Keywords: rice, threshing, varieties, multipurpose thresher   ABSTRAK Kehilangan hasil pertanian banyak terjadi pada proses penanganan pascapanen. Proses perontokan merupakan bagian dari pascapanen padi yang dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai teknik dan berbagai jenis mesin perontok padi. Alat perontok multiguna termasuk salah satu jenis perontok yang dapat merontokkan biji-bijian seperti padi dan kedelai. Pengujian efisiensi kinerja alat perontok multiguna bertujuan untuk mengetahui efisiensi kinerja alat perontok. Parameter yang diukur adalah kapasitas perontokan, efisiensi perontokan, dan kualitas perontokan. Pengujian tersebut dilakukan dengan menggunakan kecepatan putaran mesin 2500 rpm dan 3000 rpm, dengan varietas padi yang diuji yaitu varietas Ciherang dan Bestari. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa efisiensi perontokan varietas Ciherang lebih baik jika menggunakan kecepatan putaran mesin 2500 rpm. Jika menggunakan kecepatan putaran mesin 3000 rpm terjadi susut hasil. Sedangkan untuk varietas Bestari lebih efisien jika menggunakan kecepatan putaran mesin 3000 rpm. Semakin tinggi kecepatan putaran mesin maka tingkat kerusakan gabah juga akan semakin meningkat. Kata kunci : padi, perontokan, varietas, rpm, perontok multiguna

The needs for added value of agricultural products is increasing, both in the form of health benefits and of reducing pollution waste. The sorting-out fruits that are just wasted can still be used as materials that have added value. In general, fruits contain glucose which is the basic ingredient in processing of bioethanol. Even though the quality has decreased, it still contains glucose which can then be fermented into bioethanol or organic fertilizer. Recently, the pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries require a large supply of bioethanol for further processing according to the industrial needs. Meanwhile, agricultural land is increasingly promoting organic farming. The objective of this activity is to produce new products from fruit waste into bioethanol and organic fertilizers that are useful for both the community and the government so that they can be used as the right solution to reduce environmental pollution and create new business opportunities. Bioethanol processing method uses Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a biocatalyst and uses an EM4 activator to produce organic fertilizers. This activity produces an output product in the form of bioethanol 46.78 % and organic fertilizer which contain 1% N.

Dunia otomotif yang semakin berkembang menuntut perubahan agar alat transportasi lebih baik, tidak hanya pada mesinnya yang irit bahan bakar melainkan juga pada tingkat kenyamanan dalam berkendaraan. Salah satunya adalah perubahan pada sistem transmisi. Tujuan dari penelitian Tugas Akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui prinsip kerja dan pengaruh variasi berat roller CVT (Continuously Varible Transmission) terhadap sepeda motor Yamaha Mio Soul 110 cc. Proses penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental. Penelitian ini melakukan pengujian variasi berat roller menggunakan ukuran 7 gram , 10,5 gram dan 13 gram. Setelah dilakukan penggantian roller diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kinerja dari motor bakar 4 langkah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen yaitu dengan menahan throttle pada 3000 rpm, setelah stabil kemudian throttle diputar secara perlahan dengan interval 1000 rpm hingga 7000 rpm. Dari hasil analisis pengukuran untuk hasil pengujian variasi roller, jika menggunakan roller yang beratnya 13 gram maka meningkatkan prestasi mesin yaitu torsi 3,2 (Nm) dan mendapatkan daya yang maksimal sebesar 2,34 (kW) pada putaran mesin 7000 rpm, bahan bakar spesifik terbilang irit hanya 0,772 (kg/kWh) dan efisiensi thermal 10,41 (%). Hal ini terjadi karena berat roller mempengaruhi gaya sentrifugal pada pulley primer sehingga semakin berat roller maka mesin pada putaran tinggi ,akan semakin kuat menjepit sabuk V belt. sehingga pada putaran tinggi untuk mentransfer torsi dan daya ke roda belakang lebih besar.Kata Kunci :Performa, Transmisi, CVT, Variasi RollerThe growing automotive world is demanding changes so that transportation is better, not only in the fuel-efficient engine but also in the level of comfort in driving. One of them is a change in the transmission system. The purpose of this final project research is to determine the working principle and the effect of variations in the weight of the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) roller on the 110cc Yamaha Mio Soul motorcycle.This research process uses an experimental method. This study tested the variation of roller weight using a size of 7 grams, 10.5 grams and 13 grams. After changing the roller, it is expected to improve the performance of the 4 stroke combustion motor. The research method used is an experimental method by holding the throttle at 3000 rpm, after it is stable then the throttle is rotated slowly at intervals of 1000 rpm to 7000 rpm. From the results of measurement analysis for the results of roller variation testing, if using a roller that weighs 13 grams increases engine performance ie torque of 3.2 (Nm) and gets maximum power of 2.34 (kW) at 7000 rpm engine speed, specific fuel relatively economical only 0.772 (kg/kWh) and thermal efficiency 10.41 (%). This happens because the weight of the roller affects the centrifugal force on the primary pulley so that the heavier the roller, the machine at high speed, the stronger the V belt belt will be clamped. so at high speed to transfer greater torque and power to the rear wheels. The normal method of background subtraction in quantitative EELS analysis involves fitting an expression of the form I=AE-r to an energy window preceding the edge of interest; E is energy loss, A and r are fitting parameters. The calculated fit is then extrapolated under the edge, allowing the required signal to be extracted. In the case where the characteristic energy loss is small (E < 100eV), the background does not approximate to this simple form. One cause of this is multiple scattering. Even if the effects of multiple scattering are removed by deconvolution, it is not clear that the background from the recovered single scattering distribution follows this simple form, and, in any case, deconvolution can introduce artefacts.The above difficulties are particularly severe in the case of Al-Li alloys, where the Li K edge at ~52eV overlaps the Al L2,3 edge at ~72eV, and sharp plasmon peaks occur at intervals of ~15eV in the low loss region. An alternative background fitting technique, based on the work of Zanchi et al, has been tested on spectra taken from pure Al films, with a view to extending the analysis to Al-Li alloys.

This study was conducted based on the facts about the lack of maximal outcomes of learning English in almost all levels of education, especially in vocational school. Although English has been studied for many years, but the majority of students can not master English well, especially speaking. Many factors cause this phenomenon, and all parties should concern to work together to formulatebetter system and process of English learning at vocational school.The research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Pacitan, by taking the students of class XII as subjects research. The sample of this research consists of 94 students of Business Travel and Tourism,Network Computer Engineering, and Engineering Software classes. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. It is used to describe the students’ speaking competence, particularlyin presenting final task report. This research also identifies the internal and external functions to formulate a strategy to improve the students’s speaking competence. The results showed that based on the analysis of English speaking competency of SMK Negeri 1 Pacitan students, it can be concluded as follows: a). Based on the students absorption analysis of presenting final project report, shows that English competency level of students is in the category of “pretty”, with evidence of the studentsvalue average in presenting final project report is more than the passing grade value (7.50),it is 79.5. While the number of student, who passed the presentation test,is 66 students.So it can be obtained the percentage level of mastery learning students on the presentation test of final report is only 70.21%, and it is categorized “less”, because the percentage of students who passed this exam is still under 75%. b). While the analysis of the questionnaire can be scribed that the average overall score of 3.44 speaking competence components are categorized “pretty”, and it can be concluded that the level of competence of English speaking students generally categorized “enough”. Based on the level ofstudents’ English speaking competence , it can be formulated the strategies to increase its competence. They are: a). Maximizing the use of English as a language instruction and reducing the use of Indonesian, especially in the learning process, to improve English language competency, so that students can have the ability to explain the sequence of events and the students can pass the exam well. b). Having more English presentation activitiesin other topics to encourage the students’ bravery and self-confidence in speaking English, so that students have good Englishcompetence as preparation to getjobs or to continue their study at university.c). Having more exercise of using body language to improve the mastery of speech, and smooth attitude, so that students have good English competence,and they are able to compete in the global world in obtaining employment. d). And maximizing the use of school’s facilities by using various methods of learning, and focusing on the students’ center method to improve the studentsEnglish competency so that they are able to compete for educational scholarships in this country and abroad.

Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) yang berada di Desa Koto rendah, Kecamatan Siulak, Kabupaten Kerinci adalah bentuk Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUBE) dari ibu-ibu rumah tangga yang mempunyai usaha bisnis dalam kuliner, pembibitan, pengolahan hasil pertanian dan perkebunan sekitar yang mereka miliki maupun penduduk setempat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai kemampuan untuk melakukan perencanaan bisnis (Business Plan). Selain itu, untuk memberikan peningkatan keterampilan dalam merencanakan bisnis menggunakan bisnis model.
