Automating scheduling is a classic task in learning management systems. The process of scheduling is, in a sense, the final one in the chain of support of educational activities, and its automation reveals all inconsistencies and shortcomings of the previous processes. In order for the scheduling to be automated as much as possible, a lot of various initial information should be processed in the information systems of the university — curricula, staff, workload, schedule of the educational process, contingent of students, classroom fund. It is especially difficult for universities with educational programs of various orientations — natural science, humanitarian, creative, etc., which have specific principles for organizing and conducting classes. The level of automation of educational activities at Dostoevsky Omsk State University, a classical university with a wide variety of types of educational programs, made it possible to tackle the task of scheduling. However, during the implementation of the automated scheduling system, the project team faced a number of problems. The article describes the results of the project for the transition to an electronic schedule in Dostoevsky Omsk State University using the circulation software product 1C:Automated scheduling. University based on the 1C:Enterprise 8.3 system. Based on the results of the audit of the downloaded reference information, the initial data, including curricula, were normalized. The compiled schedule in two modes (manual and automatic) was published on the official website of the university and is used to operate a chatbot on the VKontakte network to inform students and teachers about upcoming classes.

The article analyzes changes in modern Russian education and related changes in pedagogical activity. Defining personal, metasubject and subject-based educational outcomes of students as the goals of education sets high requirements for the professionalism of the teacher, for his psychological and pedagogical competence. The professional standard for teachers, adopted in 2013, has captured new realities of pedagogical activity, providing definitions of the teaching, educational, and developmental functions of a teacher and a list of requirements for work actions and skills necessary for their implementations. The professional standard is defined as a target reference point for teacher education. The implementation of the professional standard requirements is possible with a serious restructuring of the system of teacher training practices. Traditional teacher education has always been characterized by a weak orientation to school, academism and verbalism, and the dominance of subject-based and methodological training at the expense of psychological and pedagogical, activity-based components of professional education. The article analyzes the cases of employing the activity approach in Russian teacher education, such as the one at the Krasnoyarsk state University and at the Tolstoy Tula State Pedagogical University. Also, the article describes a productive experience of implementing the activity approach in a large-scale experiment on the modernization of teacher training in 2014—2017 by the Moscow State University of Psychology and Education. It outlines the main components of the activity approach implementation in this experiment: orientation on the professional standard for teachers, modular structure of educational programs, practical orientation of the educational process.

Being an artist is not enough to make a piece of historical art. This requires a study, the deliverables of which allow creating a scientifically reliable composition. To put it otherwise, an artwork brought into existence in such a way can be created on an interdisciplinary basis, and it is not until then that it becomes educational. A study used in the educational process considerably increases the degree of professional competence of students. The authors of this article, being professors at the Fine Arts and Folk Crafts Department, Moscow Region State University, have employed a range of research methods as the basic ones. These include war historical re-enactment, case review of its research and organization in modern social and cultural settings, modeling and forecasting deliverables of students‘ artistic activities when creating historical paintings, and the method of expert evaluation. In order to trial war historical re-enactment as an academic research method together with the Department‘s students, art and research project “Neuchatel‘s Battalion at the Battle of Wagram” has been launched across the curriculum. The project incorporates stages of joint research and artistic work of academicians and students. During the project, a mechanism of inter-knowledge interaction is formed in the minds of students, which allows students to acquire historical knowledge about the Neuchatel battalion, Battle of Wagram, uniforms worn during the Napoleonic Wars, and the work of battle painters. Based on the above, the students acquire metadisciplinary skills they employ to create themed art in terms of traditional battle paintings by Alexander Averyanov, Peter von Hess, and Louis-Francois Lejeune. We have summarized the experience of employing the war historical re-enactment method in teaching students historical painting. It is reflected in the study guide students use to study military garments worn in the early 19th century and create themed works of art. Its contents are recommended for both teachers and students studying art to create student artworks consistent with traditional battle paintings.
