Purpose: This research aims to determine the tourism potential based on the community’s perception of the existing natural resource and determining the management strategies for the tourism area. Research methods: The research method used in this study is the survey method. This research method was divided into two steps, including data collection using the snowball method and data analysis carried out with a descriptive method for the potential of tourism development and qualitative- quantitative approaches based on the perceptions of the local community to determine the development strategy. Results and discussions: The results showed that several natural resources in Alor can be used as a tourist attraction, such as Wai Ulung, Wai Redang, Wai Urita, Wai Bakolang, Munaseli Kingdom, Hiking Baki Old Village, Kenari beach, Sikka Island, Putri Laut Cave, Tomi Leo Cave, Bat Cave, and Octopus Pond. Based on the analysis using the quantitative and qualitative SWOT Matrix, the suitable strategy to be applied in the development of sustainable tourism in Alor is maximize the strength to get all of the opportunity, such as developing tourism activities with fully managed by the local community, promotes safe tourist sites, provides sustainable tourism development field-laboratory for students and academia, and Enhance the community involvement as local tour services providers. Conclusion: Many natural and historical resources in Alor that can be developed as a tourist attraction, and the suitable development strategy is to maximize the strength to get all the opportunity.

ABSTRAKKeterlibatan masyarakat merupakan elemen penting dalam pengembangan pariwisata, terutama di kawasan lindung. Konflik sering terjadi di dalam taman nasional karena perbedaan kepentingan. Masyarakat lokal berasumsi bahwa mereka telah hidup di taman nasional selama beberapa generasi, sementara pihak taman nasional beerasumsi bahwa mereka memiliki kewajiban untuk memiliki sumber daya di dalam taman nasional. Keberadaan taman nasional sebagai objek wisata memungkinkan mereka untuk saling bekerja sama dengan cara yang saling menguntungkan. Jadi sangat penting untuk mengetahui bagaimana keterlibatan masyarakat yang terkandung di dalam taman nasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan wawancara dilakukan untuk manajemen taman nasional dan masyarakat lokal di dalam taman nasional. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana taman nasional yang melibatkan masyarakat asli di dalamnya dan bagaimana mereka berpartisipasi dalam pengembangan pariwisata di dalam taman nasional. Kata kunci: Taman Nasional Aketajawe, Keterlibatan Masyarakat  COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IN ECOTOURISM DEVELOPMENT AT AKETAJAWE LOLOBATA NASIONAL PARK ABSTRACTCommunity involvemet is an important element in tourism development, especially in protected area. Conflicts often occur within national parks because of differences in interests. Local communities assume that they have lived in national parks for generations while national parks assume that they have the duty to have resources within the national park. The existence of a national park as a tourist attraction makes it possible for them to cooperate with each other in a mutually beneficial manner. So it is very important to know how the involvement of the community contained within the national park. This research used a qualitative research method and interview was conducted to both national park management and local community inside the park. The aim of this research is to determine the tourist perceptions and motivation that visit to Jembong tourist destination. This research was conducted at the Jembong tourist destination, Jembong District, Ambengan Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency. The research method used is descriptive quantitative by distributed questionnaires to two hundred and twenty fivetourist that visiting Jembong tourist destination in Jembong district, Ambengan Village. A questionnaire consisted of twenty threestatements that refer to the theory of tourism development, which are tourist attraction, amenities, access and ancillary services and eighteen statements of tourist motivation that refer to the push and pull theory motivation. The potential tourist attraction in Jembong tourist destination are waterfall, trekking, and nature. The facilities are bathroom and change room, trash bin, restaurant, parking area, and gazebo. Local community who has an authority to make signboard and provided stairs and trail to facilitate tourists toward waterfall and trekking. Tourist information center made simultaneously with entrance ticket counter Jembong tourist destination. Promotion media at Jembong tourist destination are brochure, email and instagram. Maps of Jembong tourist destination is available in google maps therefore tourist easier toward Jembong tourist destination. The results of this research finding the higher of push motivation and pull motivation is related with beauty nature that suitable with the higher tourist perception to attraction are freshness air and beauty nature in Jembong tourist destination.


East Nusa Tenggara Province surrounded by many potentials nature-based attractions, one of them is Mulut Seribu beach, in the Rote Ndao Regency. This beach is one of seven priority tourist attractions by the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government. Local Government initiation is welcomed by the local community and this research aims to create a strategy to develop the Mulut Seribu beach attraction with marine-based tourism to support sustainability. The research type is using descriptive qualitative, with interviewing stakeholders from five key informants living around the tourist attraction namely government representatives, tourists, and the local community. The results showed that according to SWOT analysis Mulut Seribu Beach is among Curve 1, which means the development of this destination still aggressive to be developed with a concentration of development in SO, namely strength and opportunity. This result is shown by the Mulut Seribu festival as a form of coordination between community and government participation in developing marine tourism in Mulut Seribu Beach.   Cerme Cave is one of the objects of special interest tourist attraction which is used as one of the non-coastal tourism development projects by the dinas pariwisata kabupaten Bantul. This is done so that the distribution of tourists who visit, can be distributed evenly across all attractions in the Bantul regency. The decline in the level of tourist visits, limited attractions, and double levies has become an obstacle to the development of the Cerme Cave attraction, so a number of recommendations are needed to overcome and make these attractions sustainable. The research model used is qualitative through exploratory studies. The results showed that the problems that arose in these attractions include, dualism of management, the number of tourists being a priority, community participation is still low, lack of knowledge about tourism management in accordance with sustainable tourism management guidelines, do not have the intended target market, and marketing and limited promotions. Special interest tourism management strategies, including the targeted tourism segments must be clear, adequate human resource readiness in quality and quantity, facility development and accessibility in accordance with the landscape and tourist needs, promotions in accordance with the theme of tourist attraction attractions, so that the development strategy of Cerme Cave can be implemented optimally.   Keywords: sustainable tourism, cerme cave, management.

This research has been conducted in March until July 2017 in the tourist area of Pantai Indah Sergang Laut of Singkep Island of Lingga Regency. This study aims to analyze the suitability of tourism and the carrying capacity of the region and formulate tourism area management strategies. The research used survey method and descriptive analysis. Primary data were collected through direct measurements and interviews using questionnaires. The research results have suitability of tourism of the Pantai Indah Sergang Laut according to the index of 91%. Ecological carrying capacity of 1.174 persons days-1 for the 2.02 hectare coastal area so that the visitor activity and the sustainability of the area can be well maintained, have a good social support and the development of this tourist attraction has a good effect on the level of tourism business revenue. From SOAR analysis, there are three alternative strategies to develop this tourism object, namely (a) optimizing the potential, capacity and public participation to realize sustainable tourism management, (b) strengthening the existing tourist attraction to enhance competitiveness in attracting tourist and segment broader markets, and (c) the development of tourism partnerships to improve the quality and improvement of tourism economics in supporting regional development. Therefore, good coordination among stakeholders related to the implementation of alternative strategies has been formulated so as to realize sustainable tourism management.

Nowadays, sustainable tourism development is a necessity for all countries that appeal for tourism. The local community is considered to be an important factor in supporting tourism development. Shkodra Lake, the largest lake on the Balkan Peninsula, is a very important protected area with great potentials for tourism development. The purpose of this study is to address the need for the regeneration of this area for sustainable tourism development. The survey was used as a quantitative research method. The questionnaire to the local community of Zogaj village was used as a research tool. The research results showed the community's attitudes about touristic values of Zogaj village and the importance of their use for sustainable tourism development, about the situation and the prospect for the regeneration of Zogaj village for STD. The findings of this research will help tourism planners and decision-makers to sustainable use of local resource of this area for the successful tourism development today and future. The tourism sector in Indonesia has currently been designated as a leading sector for development and is being boosted as a source of foreign exchange. The rapid development in the tourism sector can be seen from the policy of 10 priority tourist destinations which are then reduced to 5 super priority tourist destinations. Priority destination development must use sustainable tourism development. Kelimutu Lake Tourism Object is a lake tourism object located in Koanara Village, Ende Regency. This study aims to analyze how sustainable tourism has been carried out in the Kelimutu National Park in Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The research method used is qualitative with the approach used based on literature studies by looking for theories that are relevant to the problems found. The results of research on sustainable tourism development strategies in Kelimutu National Park that must be carried out are maintaining the national personality and culture, protecting the ownership of local community assets, and preserving the environment.

Research on Community based tourism as a sustainable tourism development strategy in DTW "Ceking" Pekraman Tegallalang village is done with the aim to study Community Based Tourism (CBT) as a tourism development strategy In DTW Ceking village Pekraman Tegallalang and analyzed the development strategy of CBT in DTW Ceking village Pekraman Tegallalang so that it can be sustainable. Using a research approach with a qualitative and quantitative method (mix method), accompanied by a survey method that will help to get a thorough picture covering physical condition, state of tourism and social situation and Culture at DTW Ceking Village Pekraman Tegallalang. So it is reviewed based on the problem, then research is a description of tourism phenomenon and its relation to socio-cultural life as well as the environment, by taking the research site Yankni DTW Ceking village Pekraman Tegallalang in Kecamatan Tegallalang, Gianyar Regency, Bali Province, Tepatnyareside in the Village Tegallalang, Gianyar. obyekstrainiberbatasandirectly with the Pekramankedisandthe Part of the area Persawahancekingterracurangtepedesapekramankedisan. Tourism has a positive impact, especially in economic aspects. The tourism activities involve interaction between the host community and tourist. One of the concepts in sustainable tourism development is Community-Based Tourism. This concept requires contribution and active participation of the local community in tourism development. The purpose of this study is to explain how the concept of sustainable tourism through Community-Based Tourism approach. This study used a qualitative method with a literature study. Finding of this study is the concept of Community-Based Tourism is used as tourism development design that focuses on the community with emphasizing the local potential and encouraging the community capacity development. The important aspects in the successful sustainable tourism development through Community-Based Tourism can be seen from various fields, like social-political, economic, environmental and cultural. In the social-political related to community involvement in decision-making, planning, and development. In the economic aspect aims to improve community welfare. While the environmental and cultural aspect associated with the protection of natural and cultural resources.

Tempilang Village is one of the culture-based villages in Bangka Barat District which has historical value and various cultural attractions. However, there are some factors which may inhibit the position of Tempilang Village as a tourism-based village, such as the inadequate role of the local district government in managing cultural assets, especially in its utilization as a tourism attraction, community involvement in promoting villages and the role of cross sectors in development of cultural and economic potentials in Tempilang Village. This research aimed at formulating a sustainable cultural tourism development strategy to enhance the cultural potential and economic condition of the surrounding local community. This research used descriptive qualitative analysis, content analysis, IFAS EFAS and SWOT matrix. The results of the IFAS and EFAS analysis in the SWOT Cartesian diagram indicated that Tempilang Village is in a favorable position with the dominant strength and opportunity factors and growth strategy as the main focus of the development strategy. Based on the results of analysis of internal and external factors using the SWOT matrix, there were four main strategies for sustainable tourism development to be implemented in Tempilang Village, including strategies for optimizing the management of cultural tourism, strategies for optimizing the potential of home based enterprises in the village to support tourism activities, utilizing intangible culture in the village as a product of cultural tourism and managing tangible cultural assets in the village through opportunities for cooperation.
