This study aims to describe the errors are found in English Biology Textbook entitled Animal Taxonomy. By using Qualitative Descriptive method, this study classifies the errors based on Dulay, Burt, and Karshen (1982) method about Error Analysis, namely Omission, Addition, Misformation, and Misordering. From the results of the study, it was found that some categories of errors in which Omission Error is caused by the missing of items that need to complete the phrases or sentences. Then, addition error in which the addition of unnecessary items in the phrase or sentences. The next is Misformation refers to wrong form of words. The last is Misordering refers to incorrect placement of a morpheme or a group of morpheme. The errors are found in English Biology Textbook entitled Animal Taxonomy are caused by the different rules of grammar such as the construction of adjective and noun phrase, grammatical endings, the use of tenses, and the use of articles between two languages. From this output, it can be seen that Omission and Misordering are the dominant errors in English Biology Textbook entitled Animal Taxonomy. Therefore, it is necessary to reconstruct the text in English Biology Textbook entitled Animal Taxonomy to make it useable. Key words: Errors, English Biology Textbook, qualitative descriptive method.

in the recount text. Students errors were analyzed using errors analysis. This research used qualitative descriptive method as the research methodology. The data would be presented descriptively and the result was in explanation of words form which would be following by data presented in form of tables. The errors made by female there are 12 errors of omission, 13 errors in addition, 21 errors in misformation and 1 errors in misordering. while the errors are made by male there are 5 errors of omission, 5 errors in addition, 27 errors in misformation and 1 errors in misordering. The instrument in this research was a test item created by students. From this research it can be deduced that the most mistakes made by female and male are errors in the way of misformation because students lack understanding of how to make stories in the writing recount text. Keywords:  Writing, Error Analysis, Recount text.

This study aims to explain Indonesian language errors on signboards and banners in Magetan. The problem in this study is the mistake of using Indonesian on nameplate and banners in Magetan. The method used in the compilation of data uses a qualitative descriptive method of phenomenology. The data source in this study is a photo document that results from monitoring the use of Indonesian on signs and banners in the city of Magetan. For data retrieval techniques in this research using sampling snowball. The focus in Indonesian language error research on signboards and banners is on spelling, use of inappropriate sentences and foreign words.

AbstractThe Ability to Pronounce Morphological Devices Mentally Retarded Children at TheSeventh Grade Students of SMP LB Banjarmasin. This study focuses on pronunciationof morphological devices, namely affixation, source reduplication in SMP LBBanjarmasin.This study used qualitative descriptive method. The data collected wasbased on the actual environment and in the situation as it was the ability to pronouncementally retarded children. Data collection started from observation, recording,interviewing, and library techniques. Sources of the data study were mild mentallyretarded children. Based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that topronounce affixtion of students of SMP LB Banjarmasin seen in using prefix me-, ber-,ter-, pe-, di-, sufix -an, -kan, and confix me-kan, ke-an. Mentally retarded children oftenadd phonemes when speaking, as in prefks men- became meng, prefix ber- becamebeng, and mentally retarded children often removed phonemes when speaking as prefixme(N)- became me-. The reduplication abilty found was reduplication in the form ofintact repetition, partial reduplication and basic affixed reduplication. The ability tocomposition mild mentally retarded chldren pronounces in using composition such asbahasa Indonesia, naik kelas, salat jumat, musim hujan, musim panas, and makansiang. But, there were some of mild mentally retarded children who did not usecomposition correctly such as pak gulu, lumah sakit, tanah ail, ail mata, kelas kepala,keleta api, melimpah luah, halta benda, jalan laya, olang tua, padang lumput, and halilibul. The ability to pronounce mild retarded children when they were affixed,duplicated, and composed by morphophonemic process including changes n phoneme/r/ became phoneme /l/ caused by mild retarded children experiencing obstacles whenreciting phoneme /r/.Key words: pronounce, morphological, tunagrahita2AbstrakKemampuan Pengucapan Piranti Morfologi Anak Tunagrahita Kelas VII SMP LBBanjarmasin. Penelitian ini memfokuskan kemampuan pengucapan piranti morfologi,yaitu afiksasi, reduplikasi komposisi pada siswa SMP LB Banjarmasin. Penelitian inimenggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data yang dikumpulkan berdasarkan darilingkungan yang sebenarnya dan dalam situasi apa adanya, yaitu kemampuanpengucapan anak berketerbelakangan mental (tunagrahita). Pengambilan data dimulaidari teknik observasi, rekaman, wawancara, pencatatan dan teknik kepustakaan.Sumber data penelitian adalah anak tunagrahita ringan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitiandapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pengucapan afikasasi siswa SMP LBBanjarmasin terlihat dalam menggunakan prefiks me-, ber-,ter-, pe-, di- sufiks -an, -kan, dan konfiks me-kan, ke-an. Anak tunagrahita sering melakukan penambahanfonem ketika berbicara, seperti pada prefiks men- menjadi meng, prefiks ber- menjadibeng, serta anak tunagrahita ringan sering melakukan penghilangan fonem ketikaberucap, seperti prefiks me(N)- menjadi me-. Kemampuan reduplikasi yang ditemukanadalah reduplikasi berupa pengulangan utuh, reduplikasi sebagian, dan reduplikasidasar berafiks. Kemampuan komposisi anak tunagrahita ringan tepat mengucapkandalam menggunakan komposisi, yaitu bahasa Indonesia, naik kelas, salat jumat, musimhujan, musim panas, dan makan siang. Namun, ada sebagian anak tunagrahita ringanyang tidak tepat menggunakan komposisi seperti pak gulu, lumah sakit, tanah ail, ailmata, kelas kepala, keleta api, melimpah luah, halta benda, jalan laya, olang tua,padang lumput, dan hali libul. Kemampuan pengucapan anak tunagrahita ringan ketikaberafiksasi, bereduplikasi, dan berkomposisi yang dilakukan dengan prosesmorfofonemik, meliputi perubahan fonem /r/ menjadi fonem /l/ yang disebabkan anaktunagrahita ringan mengalami hambatan ketika melafalkan fonem /r/.Kata-kata kunci: pengucapan, morfologi, tunagrahita

The objectives of the study are to describe (1) Attributive endocentric phrases, (2) Appositive endocentric phrases, (3) Coordinative endocentric phrases, and, (4) Exocentric phrases. The research methodology used in this research is qualitative descriptive method. Techniques for collecting data in this research are the observation and interviewing the informants. In analyzing the data, the researcher used the tagmemic methods. The informants of this research are the people of Maybrat region who lived in Jl. Tanjung Dofior Belakang Unamin. The informants have fulfilled the requirements given by the researcher. The approach used in this study was bilingual approach, instead of monolingual approach, that is, by asking the informants to translate the words (phrases) from Bahasa Indonesia to Maybrat language. The result of this research is the phrase of Maybrat language divided into two kinds as general, they are endocentric and exocentric phrase. It is also classified into noun phrase, pronoun phrase, verb phrase, adjective phrase and pre(post) position phrase. Each phrase has its own pattern. Some of them are similar into English and Indonesian, but some are really different.

<p class="5abstractcontent">The objectives of the research are to know the errors made by the learners in their English narrative composition; to identify the factors the learners made the errors; to identify the errors made by the learners; to correct the errors which have been made; to improve the teaching quality which is appropriate with the curriculum and the syllabus; as well as to get the data and the explanation about the difficulties in studying English especially in arranging the English narrative composition. The method used in this research is descriptive method that gives the data and the explanation about the recent symptoms of the errors made by the learners. The descriptive method consists of the ways in giving the note, the analysis and the interpretation about the recent condition. The characteristic of the descriptive method is to give the existence of the data which is straight to the problems as the recent variables are not manipulated. The research was carried out by conducting a written test about English narrative composition to the learners. After analyzing the data, the findings point out that the errors of derivational morphology is 10.3% and the inflectional morphology releases in 89.7 %.</p>Key words:<strong> </strong>morphology, narrative composition, error analysis

<p>ABSTRAK</p><p>Penelitian berjudul Konjungsi Bahasa Indonesia: Suatu Tinjauan ini bertujuan untuk <br />mendeskripsikan ikhwal konjungsi bahasa Indonesia, baik konjungsi koordinatif maupun konjungsi subordinatif.  Teori yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini  adalah mengacu pada  Tata Bahasa Baku Bahasa Indonesia,  Edisi ketiga, Cetakan kelima tahun 2003.  Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif  kualitatif  yaitu mendeskripsikan ikhwal konjungsi koordinatif dan subordinatif.  Analisis data berfokus pada sampel konjungsi koordinatif dan konjungsi subordinatif. Hasilnya telah menunjukkan bahwa dalam Politika  dan Ranah  terdapat pemakaian konjungsi koordinatif   dan, atau, dan tetapi. The method  used is qualitative  descriptive  method which  explains both  coordinate and subordinate  conjunction. Data analysis  focuces  on  samples  of coordinate  and  samples  of coordinate and subordinate  conjunctions. The study is aimed to describe endocentric noun phrase of Ponosakan language. The issue that is analyzed in the study deals with type, category, and relation of meaning on the endocentric noun phrase of Ponosakan language. The issue is analyzed by referring to the theory of Zaenal Arifin and Junaiyah. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive method. The result shows that endocentric nominal phrase of Ponosakan language covers coordinative phrase, phrase attributive, and appositive phrase. Categories of endocentric noun phrase found, among which, noun + noun, noun + verb, noun + adjective, noun + numeral, numeral + noun, noun + adverb, noun + preposition, noun + determiner, while the meanings among elements of endocentric noun phrase of Ponosakan, i.e. additional meaning, selection meaning, clarification meaning, limitation meaning, and meaning of determiner or indicator.

The learning process is a combination of scientific learning process which originally focused on the exploration, elaboration, and confirmation comes by observing, ask, try, reasoning, and this mengomunikasikan.Penelitian discuss geography learning model with a scientific approach to the two high schools in the city of Banjarmasin designated as a pilot project to implement the curriculum in 2013 the SMA SMA N 1 and N 2 Banjarmasin start of the school year 2013/2014. This study uses qualitative descriptive method and implemented at SMAN 1 and SMAN 2 Banjarmasin. The results showed that teachers' understanding of the scientific approach is not maximized so the impact on the application. However, teachers also know the purpose of scientific approaches used in the curriculum of 2013, which is to form the character of the students and make students more active. Besides scientific approach is also beneficial to stimulate students to use all the senses are owned in learning. Key words: Models of teaching. Geography, Scientific approach

This study discusses language error analysis of the writing of outdoor media in Indragiri Hilir Regency. The objective of this study is to describe the language error on outdoor media in the regency.  The method used in this study is the qualitative descriptive method.  Data of this study are collected from documentation of words,  phrases  or sentences written on the outdoor media in the regency. The data are then analyzed in the following steps; first,  classifying the data based on misspellings and the foreign language (English) words used on the outdoor media; second, reducing the data; third, explaining the correct use of language  on the outdoor media in accordance with Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia (General Guidelines for the Enhanced Indonesian Spelling System). The research findings reveal that  there are some mistakes on  punctuation such as period (.), commas (,), hyphen (-), question mark (?), and slash (/), preposition witing of ke , writing of refil dan propinsi, writing of capital letter (G), English structure, and the use of foreign (English) words. AbstrakPenelitian ini membahas analisis kesalahan berbahasa pada penulisan media luar ruang di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan berbahasa Indonesia yang terdapat pada penulisan media iklan luar ruang di wilayah Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan mendokumentasikan bahasa media luar ruang di Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir. Data dianalisis dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut pertama, pengklasifikasian data menurut kesalahan ejaan dan penggunaan bahasa asing (Inggris) pada media luar ruang. Kedua, reduksi data. Ketiga, menjelaskan penggunaan bahasa yang benar pada media luar ruang sesuai dengan Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia. Berdasarkan analisis data ditemukan kesalahan pemakaian bahasa media luar ruang ini meliputi pemakaian tanda baca khususnya tanda titik (.), tanda koma (,), tanda hubung (-), tanda tanya (?), dan tanda garis miring (/), penulisan kata depan ke, penulisan kata refil dan propinsi,  pemakaian huruf kapital  (G), pemakaian struktur bahasa Inggris, dan penggunaan kata bahasa asing (Inggris).

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk­bentuk kepahlawanan dalam elong osong beserta relevansinya dengan kondisi masyarakat Bugis dewasa ini. Penulis menerapkan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik penelitian inventarisasi, identifikasi, pencatatan, dan observasi. Elong osong yang dianalisis adalah osong Besse Langelo, Mata Essona Bulo­Bulo yang bersumber dari buku Elong Ugi (Kajian Naskah Bugis) terbitan Departemen Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan tahun 1990. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh temuan bahwa osong Besse Langelo, Mata Essona Bulo­Bulo mewariskan konfigurasi heroik kepada generasi muda, yaitu berperang melawan musuh demi keutuhan negeri tercinta dan mengutamakan keberanian pribadi dalam membela tanah air. Kedua konfigurasi heroik tersebut patut kita teladani. Hal ini sangat relevan dengan kondisi masyarakat Bugis dewasa ini yang menghendaki lahirnya pemimpin­pemimpin yang memiliki jiwa kepahlawanan tanpa mengedepankan kepentingan pribadi. Abstract: This research aims to describe the heroic styles of elong osong and its relevance to the condition of Buginese society today. Based on the aim, the writer applies the qualitative descriptive method and research techniques of inventarization, identification, noting, and observation. The elong osong analyzed is osong Besse Langelo, Mata Essona Bulo­Bulo, which is taken from Elong Ugi (Kajian Naskah Bugis) published by the Indonesian Education and Culture Department in 1990. From the analysis, it is found that osong Besse Langelo, Mata Essona Bulo­Bulo, has bequeathed some heroic configuration styles to the young generation; those are (1) fighting the enemies for sake of the wholeness of the beloved country and (2) prioritizing the self­bravery in defending the motherland. The two heroic configurations are exemplary. They are so relevant to the condition of Buginese society today who wish for the emergence of leaders who have heroic spirit and do not prioritize their own interests.
