This research explains about community social control toward deviant behavior of adolescents in Parepare City, especially community social control toward adolescents who are dating in the sharia park. Qualitative research methods were used to explore and understand the meaning of the problem studies, on the basis of case study research. There were seven informants in this research, consisting of community leaders, people who lived around the park, and visitors of the sharia park. The results of the research revealed that adolescent dating behavior was still considered in the category of relative deviation. Thus, the community that controls adolescents starting from the form, nature, and control processes are very weak. This was because the community would only control optimally when the courtship of adolescents in the sharia park had entered the stage of intimacy or sexual self-disclosure. The lack of community social control was caused by lack of socialization, government oversight and a variety of existing values and norms. Keywords: social control, deviant behavior, dating of adolescent.

Some methodologists have pointed to similarities between experimental method and case study research in terms of design, theory testing and development. However, little is known about how these debates inform qualitative research rationales. The use of a sequential dual case study provided an opportunity to examine these issues and their impact on the unfolding research process. The interplay of inductive and deductive approaches was evident throughout in decisions determining the nature of the research enquiry.

This paper discusses the challenges of records management that arise from the use of adapted buildings as records centres in Zimbabwe, despite the advantages of using such buildings. A qualitative research approach was used as well as a case study research design. Data were collected from seven officers of the Gweru Records Centre through semi-structured interviews. Personal observation was used to triangulate findings from interviews. It was found that the use of adapted buildings as records centres was a cheaper and quicker way of establishing records centres throughout the country. However, a number of preservation, security and management challenges cropped up as the conditions of the buildings and the environment of the adapted buildings were not conducive to the proper and professional management of records. This study is important in that it explores the prospects and challenges of using adapted buildings as records centres in Zimbabwe, an area that has not been researched by many authors. This provokes archival authorities and the government to seriously consider establishing purpose-built records and archival centres.

The budget for TB prevention prevention programs is absorbed entirely But the performance of achieving the discovery targets is still not significant. Still not found the whole case, complete treatment has not been maximized, some even DO. TB control activities allocated for TB prevention and control services appear to be relatively small compared to the TB treatment budget. This chapter discusses quantitative and qualitative practices of case-study selection when the goal of the analysis is to evaluate causal hypotheses. More specifically, it considers how the different causal models used in the qualitative and quantitative research cultures shape the kind of cases that provide the most leverage for hypothesis testing. The chapter examines whether one should select cases based on their value on the dependent variable. It also evaluates the kinds of cases that provide the most leverage for causal inference when conducting case-study research. It shows that differences in research goals between quantitative and qualitative scholars yield distinct ideas about best strategies of case selection. Qualitative research places emphasis on explaining particular cases; quantitative research does not.

Despite the case study research method has been widely adopted in qualitative research, few scholarly articles addressed the comprehensive guidance on the use of embedded case study research design. This paper aims to contribute to the literature by demonstrating the use of embedded case study research design in qualitative research. A pseudo case was exemplified by exploring the relationship between a holding company and its subsidiary companies of a corporate group. What construct a case and the rationale for the case being studied is exemplified. The paper further outlines the research protocol, the procedure of inquiry, and the design of the embedded case analysis. A brief explanation of the context of the case enriches the understanding of the investigated cases.

This research relates to people's lifestyle generally in big cities, especially in Tangerang, a satellite city of Greater Jakarta. The problem raised here is how the lifestyle of hanging out in cafes can influence on society to practice gossiping behavior. This qualitative research done by case study on a number of targeted adult informants discovered that the lifestyle of hanging out at the cafe has become commonplace among the community, indicating that humans are social creatures. Hanging out activities that are intended to have fun and relax can trigger people to participate in gossiping behavior where the activity cannot be easily avoided from the existing environment. Besides the gossip activities seem to be fun and merely entertaining activities, found that the activities can be a social control for the community.
