This paper aims to achieve the titanium price forecast using specific mathematical methods and to evaluate the most suitable method for this estimation. Based on existing data, we will extrapolate through various methods to calculate the estimated values for the period 2019-2021. In order to evaluate the quality of the estimated values, we will compare the actual values from the base period with the values obtained by the different methods.

Determining the size and quality of transport needs would not be possible without adequate forecasting based on the sales volume or demand for this service from the past periods. Traditional forecasting methods use econometric models that may be subject to serious errors. The use of the methods taking into account the variability of the studied phenomena or more advanced mathematical methods enables to minimize the error. Various methods of artificial intelligence such as a neural network, fuzzy sets, genetic algorithms, etc., have been recently successfully applied. The aim of this paper is to compare three forecasting methods that can be used for predicting the volume of road freight. The article deals with the effectiveness of three prediction methods, namely Winter's method for seasonal problems – a multiplicative version, harmonic analysis and harmonic analysis aided by the artificial immune system. The effectiveness of prediction was counted using MAPE errors (main average percentage error). The results of calculations were compared and the best example was presented.

One potential pathway by which mindfulness-based meditation improves health outcomes is through changes in cognitive functioning. A systematic review of randomized controlled trials of mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) was conducted with a focus on assessing the state of the evidence for effects on cognitive processes and associated assays. Here, we comment on confounding issues surrounding the reporting of these and related findings, including 1) criteria that appropriately define an MBI; 2) limitations of assays used to measure cognition; and 3) methodological quality of MBI trials and reporting of findings. Because these issues contribute to potentially distorted interpretations of existing data, we offer constructive means for interpretation and recommendations for moving the field of mindfulness research forward regarding the effects on cognition.

Knowledge discovery is the process of adding knowledge from a large amount of data. The quality of knowledge generated from the process of knowledge discovery greatly affects the results of the decisions obtained. Existing data must be qualified and tested to ensure knowledge discovery processes can produce knowledge or information that is useful and feasible. It deals with strategic decision-making for an organization. Combining multiple operational databases and external data create the data warehouse. This treatment is very vulnerable to incomplete, inconsistent, and noisy data. Data mining provides a mechanism to clear this deficiency before finally stored in the data warehouse. This research tries to give technique to improve the quality of information in the data warehouse.

The physics system that helps us in the study of this paper is a nonlinear hybrid electrical line with crosslink capacitor. Meaning it is composed of two different nonlinear hybrid parts Linked by capacitors with identical constant capacitance. We apply Kirchhoff laws to the circuit of the line to obtain new set of four nonlinear partial differential equations which describe the simultaneous dynamics of four solitary waves. Furthermore, we apply efficient mathematical methods based on the identification of coefficients of basic hyperbolic functions to construct exact solutions of those set of four nonlinear partial differential equations. The obtained results have enabled us to discover that, one of the two nonlinear hybrid electrical line with crosslink capacitor that we have modeled accepts the simultaneous propagation of a set of four solitary waves of type (Pulse; Pulse; Pulse; Pulse), while the other accepts the simultaneous propagation of a set of four solitary waves of type (Kink; Kink; Kink; Kink) when certain conditions we have established are respected. We ameliorate the quality of the signals by changing the sinusoidal waves that are supposed to propagate in the hybrid electrical lines with crosslink capacitor to solitary waves which are propagating in the new nonlinear hybrid electrical lines; we therefore, facilitate the choice of the type of line relative to the type of signal that we want to transmit.

At optimization of development of electric networks of power systems voltage and a configuration of networks are chosen, the order of construction of objects of electric networks is established. The criterion of optimality in optimization is the sum of dynamic consolidated costs for all network elements. The decision must take into account the dynamics of development of power systems networks, requirements for reliability and quality of power supply, capacity constraints on power lines and transformer substations.

In work is described practical approach to the expert system building for the analysis skeleton planar scintigramms. The aim is to analyze the numerical characteristics of bone metastases by scintigraphy. Objective. Progress in the development of bioinformatics and mathematical methods in biomedicine, as well as the development of computer and telecommunications systems and networks determines the look of the present and future of oncology technology and of medicine in general. At last years of one of the directions of high-tech-medicine development is a processing the digital image: improvement of quality of image, recovering image, its recognition of separate elements. Recognition of pathological processes is one of the most important problems of processing the medical image. Methods and results. Method of computer-aided analysis of planar osteostsintigrammy studied the skeleton of patients with breast cancer are in complete remission and in the phase progression of the disease with metastases to the skeleton. As analyzed parameter was used brightness of images. The study of the physiological accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals in patients without metastasis to the skeleton indicates a wide variation in the brightness values of the scintigram in some areas of the skeleton. At the same anatomical areas of the skeleton there are significant differences in the values of the index of average brightness. In almost all areas of the skeleton averages of the brightness lesions hyperfixation RFP for scintigram significantly prevail over those of «physiological» lesions hyperfixation. Thus, there is a direct relationship between the levels of accumulation of the radiopharmaceutical in areas of the skeleton without metastatic lesion and bone metastases occurring in these zones. Consider methodological approaches to studies of quality of qualifier at the expert system building for the analysis skeleton planar scintigramms, as well as results of conducting calculations.

Latest studies in the field of business macro environment (BME) assessment and forecasting have been undertaken and successfully implemented by the World Bank (2003–2004). Considerable contribution to the field has been made by Nobel Prize winners in Economics F. Kydland and E. Prescott in 2004. Nonetheless, a number of issues concerning BME evaluation and forecasting is still left unstudied. The Article highlights two major issues of BME: the fist part of the paper is focused on assessment of BME and the quality of BME development prognosis made by entrepreneurs. Based on key findings the following second part of the research examines the accuracy (validity) of businessmen prognosis and identifies key indicators businessmen rely on for formulating their future expectations. For that purpose a system of parameters and trends, as well as entrepreneurs’ survey results have been applied. The study concludes by illustrating the effect of inaccurately formulated prognosis and expectation on further development of BME events in conjunction with new assessment and forecasting proposals.

Difficulties that women face in the media professions and discrimination against women's access to decision-making posts within the media is a problem that transcends national borders. Becoming a greater part of this particular workforce would help to expand both the amount and quality of visibility for women – in news, television, and public sphere in general. Public service media (PSM), as broadcasting, made, financed, and controlled by the public and for the public, with the output designed to reach everyone and reflect all voices, should treat gender equality with the utmost importance. The existing data indicate however that, although some progress have been made, there is a lot to be done: while women among European PSMs represent 44% of the workforce, the number falls to less than 25% at the higher and executive positions. This chapter analyses the efforts made by the European Broadcasting Union's members and the measures they recommend.
