Although digital transformation has been extensively researched in recent years, there is no clear definition, especially in the manufacturing industry. In addition, there is no oblivious model for the current manufacturing firms to be digitally transformed. As a part of a current research project, this paper proposes a framework for the digital transformation process in the manufacturing industry to be used and applied by various firms, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The proposed framework combines the four main aspects of Digital transfroamtion in an integrated way. These four areas are Peaple, Strategy and Leadership, Business Processes, Enabling Technologies and Tools. The framework balances between the management and technological aspects of Digital Transformation implementation inside the manufacturing organisation.

This study investigates the concept of the digital transformation process and related capability implications for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in developing economies. A qualitative exploratory study was conducted, involving eight SMEs on an e-commerce platform in Ghana. The findings show that digital transformation among SMEs follows a four-stage process of digital technology initiation, changes to functions and processes, management of the resulting skills gap, and a strategic shift, which is also driven by managerial cognition, social capital development, human capital development, and organizational capacity building. These findings resulted in an inductively-derived process framework for the digital transformation of SMEs that expands the knowledge and understanding of digital transformation for SMEs. The study also provides users of digital platforms with dynamic managerial capability strategies for achieving digital transformation and effective e-commerce platform utilization in developing economies, which are essential for research, practice, and policy.

The article determined priorities of development for small and medium businesses of Ukraine under the conditions of the pandemic, world economic crisis, and digital transformation of eco­nomic relations.

Innovation plays a major role and is a crucial component of the organization’s growth. Creativity and innovation have become increasingly popular as key contributors to firm success in the last few decades or so. The incoming technology of Industrial Revolution 4.0 forced many companies to be innovative to compete in technological era. However, many SMEs are not ready and less innovative. Furthermore, there is lack of research focus on HPWS implementation amongst SMEs indicates that further research must be conducted along these lines. Therefore, this study aim to investigate the effect of high performance work system (HPWS) towards innovative work behaviour of employees in small and medium enterprises. This study used quantitative approach to identify the critical success factor of high performance work systems (HPWS) in Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SME) manufacturing industry. This study used descriptive analysis to analyze the data. Five-point Likert scales items ranging from (1-strongly disagree, 5 – strongly agree) employed for measuring the HPWS. Therefore, the total of 81 items survey questions were adapted to obtain the respondents for SME manufacturing industry. Reliability analysis shows that all the HPWS dimensions have very good reliability with Cronbach’s alpha value range from 0.884 to 0.976. According to Tang et al (2014), Cronbach’s alpha range between 0.70 and 0.80 considered as good reliability whereby 0.80 and 0.90 considered as very good reliability. Result also showed that selective staffing has the highest mean score followed by employee participation, which are 3.951 and 3.833 respectively. This proved that selective staffing is most important critical success factor in the HPWS implementation for Malaysian SME manufacturing industry. In China, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in economic development and social wealth in terms of GDP growth, employment creation and poverty alleviation. In the age of technology and information, innovation has been regarded as one of the most significant drivers for the growth and prosperity of SMEs. Therefore, it is necessary for SMEs to implement innovation strategy, which would help them to initiate new products, adopt new processes and increase their competitiveness. From this point of view, this study attempts to identify the innovation situation of Chinese SMEs with regard to innovation type as well as innovation strategy. The research data is collected through structured questionnaires and semi-structured interviews from SMEs of manufacturing industry in Shanghai, China. According to the data results, process innovation and marketing innovation are adopted more frequently than product innovation and organizational innovation by Chinese SMEs. This study also demonstrates most SMEs in China implement free-riding strategy; some of them adopt niche strategy; and few SMEs practice cluster strategy. Although innovation is increasingly important for Chinese SMEs, their implementation of innovation strategy is not highly effective and successful.

Yoga Farm is a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) that focuses on catfish breeding that is still doing business processes manually. With this process, information received by related parties is very difficult to obtain quickly. Therefore, the product is still not widely known, and customers are still few because the system used in sales and promotions still uses a manual system. The research method used is qualitative. This study aims to create a sales information system recommended at Yoga Farm and design using Unified modeling language (UML) for the recommended business processes. Customers will get product information in real-time, products can be widely recognized, and the number of Yoga Farm customers can increase. Based on the results of this study, adoption of a web-based sales information system can certainly make it easier to get the latest information quickly, can expand the market and can also facilitate customers in the transaction. For future research, this research can be used as a reference for conducting similar studies at other MSMEs to increase sales

Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) di Indonesia telah dapat berkontribusi terhadap PDB (Produk Domestik Bruto) nasional sebesar 55.56% berdasarkan data Biro Perencanaan Kementerian Negara Koperasi dan UKM Republik Indonesia, pada tahun 2008. Untuk memperluas pangsa pasar dan meningkatkan daya saing UKM, UKM membutuhkan suatu aplikasi yang dapat mengintegrasikan dan mengotomatisasi proses bisnis UKM. Aplikasi ERP dapat menjadi salah satu solusi untuk UKM dikarenakan keuntungan yang dapat diberikan seperti memberikan informasi dengan waktu respon yang cepat, meningkatkan interaksi antar bagian dalam suatu organisasi, meningkatkan pengelolaan siklus pemesanan barang, dsb. Beberapa isu kritis yang dihadapi oleh UKM adalah terbatasnya dana dan kapabilitas teknologi informasi yang dimiliki. Dalam memahami kebutuhan layanan yang diperlukan oleh UKM untuk aplikasi ERP dan untuk menyediakan arahan bagi UKM serta menanggapi kurangnya riset ERP di Indonesia maka riset ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan peta rencana jangka panjang dari agenda riset ERP yang akan dilakukan untuk UKM di Indonesia. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia has been able to contribute to the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of 55.56% based on national data Planning Bureau of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia, in 2008. To expand market share and improve the competitiveness of SMEs, SMEs need an application that can integrate and automate business processes of SMEs. ERP applications can be one solution for SMEs because of the advantages that can be provided such as providing information with fast response time, increase the interaction between the departments of an organization, improving the management of ordering goods cycle, etc. Some of the critical issues faced by SMEs are the limited funds and information technology capabilities they have. In understanding the needs of the services required by SMEs for ERP applications and to provide guidance for SMEs and response to the lack of research about ERP in Indonesia, this research aims to describe the long-term plan maps of the ERP's research agenda that will be made for SMEs in Indonesia.

ABSTRACT Indonesia's economic growth in the first quarter of 2020 of 2.97% was released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). It is undeniable, that number is the lowest growth rate in the last 19 years. We understand that the economic disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic did occur in various parts of the world. A significant economic slowdown is a big task for many national leaders. Some world economic experts even mention that the disruption of the economy due to this pandemic can resemble the effects of the Great Depression of 1930 ago. If we review the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic which has caused extraordinary disruption in the economic field, it is seen that Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are a sector that is quite severe. Basically, the concept of risk management is not commonly used in SMEs business processes. This is because, in general, the resources owned by SMEs are quite limited. However, in this paper I want to illustrate at least there are simple concepts that can be applied by SMEs.
