In the present paper * we set out to analyze the concept of leisure, from the perspective of its historical evolution, to understand the content and meanings thatspecialists from different scientific fields propose or accept. Leisure activities have, over time, involved religious, cultural and sporting activities. The emergence of urban services offered by libraries, museums, sports fields, etc. is related to this concept. We consider that in the post-modern society, the problem of leisure is very important, today there is a major change reflected in the choices of people, who have less and less free time, and the rising costs of participating in leisure activities of a sporting nature, first, restrict access to them for a large part of the urban population, to whom it is mainly addressed. The concept of leisure is related not only to the social or economic domain, through the relation with the tourism activities or services, but also to culture, some authors even talking about a culture of leisure, through which people not only relax or relax. They have fun, but they also have access to values that are vital to personal development. Also, the concept of leisure is related to health, fitness (physical condition).
