Objective: We assessed a probable role of pesticides as generalized products of plant protection means in the formation of the hormone-dependent oncological incidence in the population. Materials and methods: In the work we analyzed the territorial features of plant protection chemicals use and the population endocrine cancer incidence data (breast and thyroid cancer in men and women, prostate cancer in men, ovarian and uterine cancer in women, calculated according to the Ukrainian standard) based on the materials from National Cancer Registry of Ukraine. Results: Territorial dependences between gross indicators of the used chemical protection means, rates of their increase in the agriculture and indicators of the population endocrine cancer incidence were revealed. The most intensive growth was shown to be observed in the regions with a predominantly agricultural mode of production. The performed linear regression analysis confirmed a direct strong correlation between the volume of pesticide at the household use and the incidence of ovarian cancer (r = 0.89; p>0.01) and prostate cancer (r = 0.87; p>0.01). Conclusion: Although the results of the analytical consideration of the problem and the data of linear-regression analysis indicate a possible role of pesticides in the induction of endocrine cancer, further research is needed in this field. In the future, it is important to consider the problem by classes and groups of pesticides with the possibility of the approach to the definition of the effect mechanisms.

Abstract. In response to different stress stimuli the foetal neurohypophysis releases arginine vasopressin (AVP). Part of the AVP is cleared from circulation by urinary excretion into the amniotic fluid (AF). Increased AF AVP levels may therefore indicate foetal stress, all the more because AF AVP solely is of foetal origin. We therefore studied AF AVP levels in 13 patients with rhesus erythroblastosis from 22 to 34 weeks of gestation. Twenty-eight patients from 14 to 34 weeks of gestation served as controls. The AVP levels were measured by RIA. Spectral absorption curves were performed and delta/E values determined at 450 nm. Mean AF AVP levels in controls were 2.39 pg/ml and were not normally distributed. There was no significant change in AF AVP levels with different gestational age. If in rhesus erythroblastosis patients the delta/E value was low (n = 7; × = 0.048 ± 0.007 se), the AF AVP values were not increased. If the delta/E values were within zone III (n = 6; × = 0.22 ± 0.035 se), indicating severe haemolysis, the AF AVP levels were significantly elevated (4.7 pg/ml ± 0.51 se; P = 0.001). Linear regression analysis showed a significant correlation between delta/E and AF AVP values (P = 0.05; y = 1.94 ± 10.88 x). We conclude that there is evidence for the role of AF AVP as a marker for foetal stress in rhesus erythroblastosis.

This research was carried out in Kumpai Batu Atas Village, South Arut District, Kotawaringin Barat Regency. This study aims to determine the influence of the role of agricultural extension agents on the socio-economic conditions of farmers. Data analysis method uses Likert scale, descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, f-test and determination coefficient. The data collected in this study are primary data and secondary data. The socio-economic conditions of farmers in "ngawi" farmer groups consist of the age of farmers 30-40 years (12%), 41-50 years (24%), 51-60 years (48%); education consists of elementary school (64%), junior high school (32%), S1 (4%); income level range <Rp. 1,500,000 (34%), Rp. 1,500,000 - Rp. 2,500,000 (64%),> Rp. 2,500,000 - Rp. 3,000,000 (12%) and the work of the farmer respondent all (100%) earns a living as farmer.                 The results showed the hypothesis testing together had a fcount of 0.087 smaller than the value of ftabel of 3.44 which means that Ha was rejected and H0 was accepted, this indicates that the independent variable includes the factors of instructor as educator, facilitator and supervisor together- the same does not affect the dependent variable, namely the socio-economic conditions of the farmers. Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained equation Y = 1.64 + 0.35 X1 + 0.13 X2 + 0.05 X3 + e which indicates a positive influence between the instructor factors as educators, facilitators and supervisors on the social economic conditions of farmers. The coefficient of determination (R2) obtained shows that 11.1% of socioeconomic conditions can be influenced by the extension factor as an educator, facilitator and supervisor.
