The focus of the problem statement of this article is whether the educational environment can develop English vocabulary? This study aims to find out that the education environment can develop students’ vocabulary. The significance of this study is expected to give useful information on English teaching and learning process, especially in learning English vocabulary based on the education environment. In this case, the researcher used experimental as a research method, and She used random sampling technique in choosing the sample. Vocabulary test as a research instrument, it consists of 20 items, then pretest and posttest were used to collected data, statistic analysis as a technique of data analysis. Based on the result of the data analysis and the discussion of the result in the previous chapter, the writer would like to put forward conclusion that the school environment is a good medium in the teaching-learning process especially to develop students’ vocabulary

This study aims to determine the extent to which the teaching staff in the Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Department applies a style of speech; i.e. either oratory, deliberative, consultative, relaxed, or intimate. The data collection is done by questionnaire and class observation. The population of this study consists of teaching staff at the Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Department. The data is more qualitative, which is more in the form of a description of the characteristics of the respondents and not much related to the numbers. Sampling technique is done by population, namely all teaching staff of Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Department. Data analysis is carried out by a Likert Scale of 5. The results indicate that Consultative Speech is the style most widely applied by the Teaching Staff of the Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Department, while the oratoric speaking style is the least practiced style. Extemporan presentation method is the most widely applied method in the activities of the Teaching and Learning Process in the Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Department, while the impromptu method is the least applied method. The most widely used body language is a smile, while eye flicker is the least applied body language. The distance between the Teaching Staff and Students in the Teaching and Learning Process activities that are most widely applied are groups (125-350 cm), while the least applied distance is intimate (50 cm). The results of this study support the previous research that the use of Body Language greatly affects the success of the Teaching and Learning process.

The main purpose of teaching learning English in Junior High School to develop the students’ competence and knowledge in four language skills, Speaking, Reading, Listening and Writing. One of the difficult skills is writing. In this research are describe how are the uses, problems, and solutions of the use of Literacy Approach to Teach Writing of Descriptive Text At The Seventh Grade Students of SMPN 1 Ngebel.  Literacy approach is one of the approaches used to teach writing especially in descriptive text because Literacy approach is the ability to read and write. There are some step of teaching writing, they are planning, composing, and revising. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Participant/Informant of the research are the English teacher and the seventh grade students of SMPN I Ngebel Ponorogo. This research uses purposive sampling technique. The techniques which are used to collect the data are observation, interview, and documentation. Techniques of the data analysis are data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. The result of the analyzing data indicates that the uses of literacy approach in teaching writing of descriptive text are divided into two steps. The first is preparation steps and the second is learning process. The learning process uses literacy approach includes introduce and giving explanation the descriptive text, give the modal of the descriptive text and have text to analyze, make group work to discussion the students’ ideas, give the chance to make students’ own product and also checking the students’ understanding about the material. Besides, the problem of the use literacy approach in writing of descriptive text are sometimes the students are noisy in the classroom and their vocabulary are still low. The students feel afraid to deliver their opinion and ideas in teaching and learning process. The solution of the use literacy approach in writing of descriptive are the students must make group work of the students’ worksheet, Teacher controls the students and gives scores for students.

This reserch focuses on English vocabulary achievement through telling stories Using pictures. The general  problem of this research is How far is the English vocabulary achievement through telling stories using pictures of the fifth year student of MIMA KH Siddiq Jember?". In this research the quantitative data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics. Based on the description from data analysis, the result of students’ English vocabulary achievement through telling stories was 76, 6. After consulting to the table score classification levels, the score lied in the interval of 66 to 75. This meant that the English vocabulary achievement by telling stories using pictures of the fifth year students of MIMA KH Siddiq Jember is enough. Since, the result of this research was enough; it is possible supported by the student's activity in learning English, the teaching learning process and the school facilities.

This research is motivated by the high learning result of santri that can be seen from the achievement of studying santri tahfidz Al-Quran at Al Hidayah Mosque of Solok City. This condition is influenced because of the discipline of students who are very good in following the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study is to look at the discipline of santri from: 1) discipline of time, 2) discipline in obedience and obedience, 3) discipline in responsibility. The population is twenty-one persons and a sample of twenty-one people is assigned based on the sampling technique of the census. The data collecting technique uses questionnaire of data collection tool. Data analysis techniques use percentage calculations. The results showed that the discipline of santri was very good in terms of 1) time discipline, 2) discipline in obedience and compliance, 3) discipline in responsibility. In conclusion santri have a very good discipline. The discipline of the students affects the improvement of the students' learning outcomes and their learning achievement. This research advice for santri in order to improve self-discipline in daily life.Keywords: Discipline, TPA

Preliminarily, it was found that there are some problems faced by teachers in teaching and learning process. The problems are the teachers still implement classical rather than cooperative learning. Moreover, it is hard for them to make students active in the classroom, especially in asking questions and delivering ideas or opinions. Furthermore, it is also hard for them to develop students' curiosity in learning process. To overcome these problems, one solution which can be used is implementation of example non example method. The purpose of the research was to know the effect of example non example method on students' competence. It was a quasi experimental research. It was done in SMPN 18 Padang to VII grade students. Purposive sampling technique was used to take samples. The data were obteined through observation sheets for psychomotor competence. The technique of data analysis used Mann-Whitney U-Test in assistance of SPSS software. The findings show that the example non example method has significant effect on students' psychomotor competence.

Abstract The Interaction Pattern of Teachers and Students of Class X of SMAN 1 Jorong. This study aims to describe (1) the pattern of intervention, (2) the pattern of adjacent pairs, and (3) the pattern of preference in the interaction discourse of teachers and students of class X at Jorong 1 Public High School during the teaching and learning process. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Sources of data collected in the form of oral speeches that occur during teaching-learning interactions. Data collection uses documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques use qualitative analysis techniques. From the results of data analysis and research conclusions, the findings are as follows: Interruptive patterns in teacher discourse and class x students at Jorong 1 State Senior High School during the teaching and learning process. The teacher's interruption pattern to students is due to weak student volume and to stop doubts or reinforce the answers to the teacher's questions. The pattern of contiguous pairs occurs normally or naturally according to the stimulus-response process and meets the structure of adjacent pairs which creates habits and regularity. This pattern of well-implemented preferences can be seen from the structure of the preferred action expected to be in the next action and not to be expected to be expected in the next action. Key words: teacher and student interaction, interrupt pattern, contiguous pair pattern, preference pattern … Pola Interaksi Guru dan Siswa Kelas X SMAN 1 Jorong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1), pola interupsi (2),pola pasangan berdekatan, dan (3), pola preferensi dalam wacana interaksi guru dan siswa dalam kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Jorong pada waktu proses belajar-mengajar. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sumber data yang dikumpulkan berupa tuturan-tuturan lisan yang terjadi saat interaksi belajar-mengajar. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif. Dari hasil analisis data dan kesimpulan penelitian, diperoleh temuan antara lain sebagai berikut: Pola interupsi dalam wacana guru dan siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Jorong pada waktu proses belajar-mengajar. Pola interupsi guru kepada siswa dikarenakan volume suara siswa lemah dan untuk menghentikan keraguan atau mempertegas jawaban atas pertanyaan guru. Pola pasangan berdekatan terjadi dengan normal atau alamiah sesuai dengan proses stimulus-respon dan memenuhi struktur pasangan berdekatan yang menimbulkan kebiasaan dan keteraturan.Pola preferensi terlaksana dengan baik ini bisa dilihat dari adanya struktur tindakan yang disukai diharapkan ada pada tindakan berikutnya dan tidak disukai diharapkan tidak ada pada tindakan berikutnya. This study was aimed to improve students’ ability in learning vocabulary through jigsaw method at Timor University in, Timor Tengah Utara regency (TTU), NTT Province, Indonesia. The main purpose of this study is to know the effect of using jigsaw method to improve students’ vocabulary ability. This study belongs to pre experimental method with <em>the one group pretest - posttest</em> design. This study was conducted in one class which was given the treatment. The treatment of this study is teaching and learning process by using jigsaw method. The population of this study was second semester students of English study program of Timor university in academic year 2017 / 2018. The total members of second semester students were 120 who were divided into three (3) classes. Every class consisted of 30 students. The writers used purposive sampling technique to take the data. The writers only determined one class because the writer assumed that in this class, students have sufficient knowledge of English. Hence, the sample of this study was 30 students. The writers had conducted pre test before gave the treatment to the students. Finally, the writers gave the posttest to measure students’ vocabulary ability in the end of teaching and learning process. From the data analysis, the writers found that the average of the students’ vocabulary was improvement. The average of students’ score in pretest was 65% and posttest was 79%. After the writers conducted the research, the writers concluded that (1). Jigsaw method can improve students’ vocabulary ability. (2). Jigsaw method can improve the students’ interaction with the teacher and other students.

AbstractComputer literacy has become an interesting issue in the field of education as the integration of technology in education develops rapidly and continues to increase in the future. One aspect of computer literacy teacher’s and student’s perceptions and attitudes to use computers for classroom instruction. Unfortunately, this has been a challenge for incorporating technology during the teaching and learning process. The current study aims to analyze the implementation of the use of a mobile laptop in the class and unfold the student’s attitudes toward using laptops during their learning activities. This research was a survey study that includes interviews, observation and documentation as a data collection technique. The subject of the study is 312 students from seventh to ninth grade. Data analysis was done by the following steps: data collection, data reductions, data analysis, and conclusion making. The study finds that 1) course content and learning activities have been predetermined/ predesigned and stored in the laptops, 2) every student have access to the device with the help of group work. The study also reveals that the attitude of students toward the use of laptops in the classroom process is positive in the sense that they show satisfaction on the use of laptops. They also acknowledge the advantages of the computer for their learning and show high awareness of the importance of keeping the devices maintained and secured.AbstrakSalah satu bidang Tehnologi pembelajara adalah pemanfaatan teknologi informasi sebagai media pembelajaran. Hal tersebut selaras dengan perkembangan abad 4,0.  Kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakan dan memanfaatkan computer (Komputer Literasi) menjadi isu yang menarik saat ini. Komputer literasi menjadi bagian dari teknologi pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis implementasi penggunaan laptop Mobile dalam aktivitas belajar di kelas dan bagaimana respon siswa dalam penggunaan laptop Mobile di kelas.  Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan survey. Sedangkan metode pengumpulan datanya dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII, VIII, dan VIII sejumlah 312 anak. Analisis penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan data, mereduksi, menganalisis, dan membuat kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi penggunaan laptop mobile dilakukan saat proses belajar mengajar dilakukan dengan cara 1) semua materi dimasukkan dalam laptop mobile, 2) semua siswa mendapatkan hak akses untuk menggunakannya, dan 3) aktivitas belajar sudah didesain dalam laptop mobile. Sedangkan respon siswa dalam menggunakan mobile laptop menunjukkan 1) tingkat kepuasaan dalam menggunakan laptop mobile, 2) tingkat kemanfaatan dalam menggunakan laptop mobile, dan 3) tingkat tanggungjawab dalam merawat laptop mobile pada angka rerata yang paling tinggi pada lilihan stuju dan sangat setuju. This research aimed to describe the evaluation of ELLIS (English Language Learning and Instruction System) Program in English teaching and learning process in SMP Bopkri 3 Yogyakarta in terms of the context, input, process, and product aspects.This research is an evaluation research employing CIPP model by Stufflebeam (2010). The data were collected through observation, open questionnaires, and interviews and were analyzed using Miles, Huberman and Saldana’s flow model of qualitative data research which included data collection, data condensation, data display and conclusion drawing.The findings revealed that the evaluation of ELLIS Program in English teaching and learning process in SMP Bopkri 3 Yogyakarta related to the process of context was in line with the objective of the program that is improving the students’ English skills and the program can support the English teaching-learning process. In term of input, the program is appropriate according to the required standard for good teaching learning English, this program is supported by the school’s entire component, the facilities of the teaching-learning process is completed, the material in ELLIS program can apply consecutively to be able to improve students’ English skill. On the process of teaching and learning has appropriated, the schedules of ELLIS program is held correctly and on time, every meeting the teacher always use ELLIS, the procedures and activities ELLIS program are implemented correctly, the students always participate actively during the learning process, the students more interested in learning English. Dealing with product the students more understand, easier in catching the material and more comfortable in taking part of the learning process, they feel happy and feel that their ability in learning English increase, the students’ English skill can improve successfully, the students can communicate with the teacher and their other friends in English correctly, the aim of this program can hold successfully. Between 250-300 words; must focus on: aims of the study, methods, findings, conclusions, and implications.
