Technogenesis is a process of environmental transformation under the influence of various types of technical human activity. Technogenesis - this transformation of the earth's crust occurs during the extraction and processing of mineral resources, engineering and geological activities. One of the technogenically transformed areas is the Pavlodar region of Kazakhstan. This scientific article presents the main sources of technogenic impact in the Pavlodar region. The research gives a description of the two main technogenic systems. There have been determined the main chemical contaminants of the components of the natural environment. The authors have calculated using modern methods of GIS technologies, the area of sludge collectors. The article describes a promising method for solving such non-trivial problems as identifying the spatial distribution of ecological risk zones, or the spatial display of the concentration distribution of pollutants. The article gives a description of the main industrial facilities of the Pavlodar region, the number of emissions, and also characterizes the climatic factors of the study area.

In rural regions, mining is an activity that employs many people due to the fact that the barriers to entry are sometime trivial, with very low technology, capital fund and no specialized skills required. Many people including children into artisanal mining in Ivory Coast because they can earn higher incomes in mining than through other traditional activities such as agriculture, which is the main activity in the country. Artisanal mining contribute to reduce the abject poverty and it offers many others opportunities. However, this activity has many negative social impacts. Local people including miners are risking their life everyday due to the unsanitary conditions, prostitution, chemical contaminants, and alcoholism, and also the large degradation of lands. The main objective of this Paper is to understand how artisanal gold mining in the Ivory Coast affects local livelihoods and the environment. Some key recommendations for addressing artisanal mining activities in order to have a good option for sustainable management of mineral resources in the country are proposed.

While in the early neogene, tectonic and to a lesser extent climatic factors impacted on the sea level, at the present stage climatic, man-made and anthropogenic factors are at the forefront. As a result of an increase in the level of the Caspian Sea by more than 2.4 m, 35-40 thousand square meters km of territory was flooded, during the flooding and flooding of the coastal territory for the period 1978-1995 led to a change in natural, socio-economic and medico-ecological conditions. The consequences of rising sea levels led to the resettlement of about 100 thousand people living in the coastal flooded zone of the Northern Caspian Sea and many industrial facilities.

The author analyzes the foundation of mining and metallurgical industry of Tajikistan using the available historical publications and predictive research of scientists of the Republic of Tajikistan and Russia, as well as mass media sources. The main purpose is to show the availability of mineral resources, historical and contemporary demand, condition and prospects for their development. It is noted that Tajikistan mining and geological surveys conducted by world scientific researchers revealed numerous remains of the Bronze Age settlements in the North and South of Tajikistan. The remains prove that alongside cattle breeding and farming the Persian and the Tajik people of that time were also engaged in mining, metal mining and pottery. The author adduces arguments for organizing international expedition to discover historical areas of formation of metallurgical production. The findings of the expedition include extremely interesting millennia-old achievements in development of job safety system and metal production in different territories. The results of the research were used to distinguish the characteristic features of the areas, their potential opportunities for further development of metallurgical industry in Middle Asia and especially in the Republic of Tajikistan. The development of mining and metallurgical industry in Tajikistan is of high expediency due to availability of mineral resources and cheap labour force. The measures taken on its sustainable supply of electric power and fuel resources are of special interest. The author points out that functioning of mining and metallurgical enterprises with the Tajik Aluminum Company (TALCO) being the most significant of them resulted in creating a number of highly skilled jobs and building industrial facilities in the central region of the Republic. Analysis of the state of placement of hydropower resources in Middle Asia allows setting the priorities for development of this process in the Republic of Tajikistan. The author outlines major managerial problems of metallurgical industry in the Republic of Tajikistan and highlights the important peculiar features of management of mining enterprises under market conditions. For example, the transition to new institutional management methods due to implementing the tolling method of management provided the TALCO with the opportunity to escape bankruptcy and preserve the company.

The state of mineral resources base of the world and Russia is analyzed. Two variants of the model of Russia’s innovative way of development on the basis of the best available technologies’ introduction (BAT) are considered. The conclusion is made that not only Russian resources, but also Russian technologies, specialists and equipment play an important role in the choice of the model of innovative way of development. The authors’ block-scheme of BAT implementation at a mining enterprise is presented. It consists of four blocks: 1) analytical and research; 2) economic and analytical; 3) implementation project development; 4) obtaining an integrated environmental permit and BAT implementation. Emphasis is made on the fact that new environmental standards are being currently developed for the permissible integrated environmental impact of industrial facilities, which by 01.01.2025 should comply with all mining enterprises in Russia. A specific case of the developed, patented and tested technology of processing sands from the dredge field test side of the Dzharmagatay deposit (Transbaikal region), which includes gravity-magnetic-flocculation-electrical methods of enrichment, combined with cyanide leaching of gold, is considered. The method refers to the best available technology, as it allows to achieve a high level of mineral resources use (integration and rationality), to reduce pollution of atmo-, hydro-, litho- and biosphere by emissions and discharges

The research on the snow blanket pollution in Chita and its environs has been conducted to determine 29 chemical elements in the snow melt. It has been revealed that there is a direct causality between the pollution degree of the snow aqueous phase and the level of air pollution in the technogenesis environment. While comparing some indicators of chemical elements content and their compounds in snow melt, a critical concentration in the reference sites has been identified. It has been noted that the standard ratios compliance for this phase in the conjoint backgrounds is not always realistic, requires the MPC indicators development for the snow under technogenic impact and consideration of natural geochemical conditions and climatic factors.

The interrelation of labour productivity and economic situation in regions of the Russian Federation is really acute in current conditions, when such destructive factors as sanctions, inflation, instability on global markets due to coronavirus epidemic take place. Therefore, the key goal of the research is to estimate labour productivity in regions as a factor of economy efficiency. Among methods of research it is possible to mention comparative analysis of the indicator, typology of regions by a number of parameters in order to identify regional differentiation. It is assumed that the highest labour productivity is typical of raw-materials regions, which specialize on extraction and export of mineral resources. However, we should take into account that natural and climatic factors in this group of regions increase labour costs and therefore, cut labour productivity. The authors show that in regions with conventional specialization on manufacturing industry (when the raw-materials sector retains a certain importance) the said indicator demonstrates a high value, even in spite of some unfavorable trends on labour market. The authors used the following materials and research findings for preparing the article: results of deep interviews of employment service workers in the Ryazan region conducted in 2021 within the frames of the research ‘Digitalization of Labour Market and Employment in Russia: Trends and Mechanisms of Development’; materials of expert discussions and surveys of employment service heads in regions of the Central Federal District within the frames of the research ‘Organizational and Finance Mechanisms to Support Population Employment in 2021-2023, which Aims at Unemployment Reduction’

The article scientifically describes the development of land allocation projects for urban purposes using geographic information systems (GIS) technology, one of the main forms of inter-farm land management, one of the state measures aimed at rational organization of land use. In addition, the scientific article should take into account the formation of the databases necessary for the development of such projects, the stages of data processing and analysis, as well as the issues that need to be addressed, as well as the development of feasibility studies for the implementation of such projects—key factors and key indicators, as well as expected project results.
