During the Covid-19 pandemic, the government decided to organize online learning as a diversion for face-to-face learning in schools. For this reason, it is necessary to have technological intervention as a communication medium in learning. There are many learning methods that can be used during online learning, one of which is PjBL. This study aims to determine the benefits of implementing PjBL for Islamic Education subjects during online learning. The data collection method used is literature study through books, journals, and the results of field research conducted by previous researchers that are relevant to this research. The results of the study indicate that in online learning, PjBL is able to increase the creativity of students in carrying out projects and increase the ability of students to use technology as a medium to communicate their work as media to create products.

<p align="justify">Learning readiness influences learning success. Changing the learning model requires preparation. Well-planned online learning is different from learning in an emergency. This study aims to determine the readiness of student learning in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The type of research used non-experimental quantitative. The data collection method is done by survey. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics. The subjects in this study were PGSD students at Mataram University. The number of respondents involved 260. Problems in this study include: how are students' learning readiness? what are the problems faced by students? Can students take part in online learning well? The results showed that students' learning readiness was still lacking. Students experiencing technical obstacles include lack of online media mastery, no training, limited costs, and difficulties in internet connection. Most students expect online learning to stop and come back face to face.</p>

The sophisticated information and technology (IT) development can be the answer for various problems post the covid-19 pandemic, particularly the teaching and learning challenges. The role of IT that is booming nowadays is online learning. Online learning is obviously different from regular learning. In this mode of learning, the students are required to have the ability to receive and process information. It serves as media that connect teachers and students who are being remote from one another at any time and anyplace. There are various media utilized to perform online learning such as WhatsApp, Google Meet, Zoom, Google Classroom, and other e-learning platforms. Among all these media, though, WhatsApp apparently appointed as the simplest and easiest media to access in all levels of education. Online learning at current is the effective medium to carry on the teaching and learning process in all levels of education. For the effectiveness of online teaching and learning process during the covid-19 pandemic, there have been a number of learning models suggested by the expert such as remote learning, face to face learning, e-learning, project-based learning, and Blended Learning.

The increasingly uncontrolled spread of Covid-19 led the government through the Minister of Education and Culture to issue S.E Number 4 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Education Policies in an Emergency the Spread of Covid-19 which prohibits face-to-face learning in schools. Therefore, Learning must be done remotely or online by utilizing technology. This research is aimed at examining the challenges and roles of Gadget media in implementing Islamic Education learning policies during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a library research with descriptive-analytical literature methods and through conceptual and comparative approaches. The results of this study explain that gadget media has a very important role in implementing the Islamic Education Learning policy during the Covid-19 pandemic. Gadget media features and applications act as communication intermediaries and introductory students in stimulating attention, interests, thoughts, and feelings, enriching knowledge and experience, changing spiritual and social attitudes, and training their skills in Islamic Education Learning. Media gadgets make it easier for students to master spiritual, social, knowledge, and skills competencies in Islamic Education subjects without having to meet face to face. However, the use of gadget media besides having a positive side, it also has a negative impact on children's development. Therefore, the use of gadget media requires wisdom, intelligence, and parental involvement in educating, supervising, accompanying and instilling the principles of health, education, discipline, responsibility, and moral values ​​in children.

Currently, the world is faced with an outbreak of a disease caused by a virus known as covid 19. Along with the high number of positive cases of covid 19 in Indonesia, the government is urging to deal with this covid 19 pandemic immediately. Various policies have been carried out, such as implementing physical distancing, lockdown, and the 5M movement. The existence of these policies certainly impacts most aspects of life, especially in the education aspect. Learning that is usually done face-to-face becomes impossible. So that the government issues a policy so that the learning process can be implemented. One of the solutions offered by the government is to change face-to-face learning into online learning (in the network) using e-learning sites. E-Learning media is supported by various learning features that are made like face-to-face learning.

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced humans to change behavior in various aspects and various fields, including education. The basic policy carried out by the government for the world of education during the Covid-19 Pandemic is the existence of a study from home policy for all levels of education. This policy changed the way educational institutions conduct the learning process, from face-to-face learning in the classroom to distance learning. Ready or not ready, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced universities that previously were not optimal in preparing and implementing online learning to carry out full implementation. Students and lecturers who previously lacked interest in carrying out online learning were required to conduct online lectures. Because the essence of lectures is a dialogue between students and lecturers or between students and students, then in the implementation of online lectures an application is needed that can guarantee the implementation of the dialogue. Of the many internet facilities for online lectures, the WhatsApp application is one of the recommended options for use in online lectures. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. In collecting the data, this research conducted observations on the whatsapp group. While the data analysis technique of this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study are the whatsapp group feature is a good alternative used in the online learning process. There are so many benefits and also students become active in class even though they don't do face-to-face.

ABSTRACT Education is the process of changing the attitude and behavior of a person or group for the better through teaching / guidance and training. In the process, the teacher plays an important role in the delivery of material so that it has an influence on the success of their students. The subject learning of PAI (Islamic education) at MIN 1 Langsa is currently less effective and efficient due to the Covid-19 pandemic (corona virus disease) which makes teachers and students unable to meet face to face directly. Students asked to learn from home using online media.Online learning is undirect face-to-face learning between teachers and students by accessing internet networks and using social media to interact or exchange information. This study aims to describe the online learning of Islamic Education lessons at MIN 1 Langsa. The research approach is descriptive qualitative using primary and secondary data sources. The data collection uses the method of observation, documentation and interviews. The analysis of data using reduction, display data and conclusion.The result of the research showed that online learning PAI lessons carried out at MIN 1 Langsa used the Whatsapp application. Students at home are accompanied by their parents in studying the material and exercises provided by their teachers through the Whatsapp application. Because learning is done online, teachers must be more thorough and focused in evaluating learning activities. Students also complained that they had difficulties with poor internet networks. Some of them also do not have cell phones based on Android and some are not proficient in using them, it is making the learning process ineffective.Keywords:            learning, online, students

Indonesia is currently faced with the challenge of the Covid-19 pandemic, in which the government urges the Indonesian people to stay at home. So that learning activities that were originally carried out face-to-face turned into non-face-to-face learning. This study uses descriptive research methods with qualitative analysis techniques. The purpose of this research is to reveal events or facts, circumstances, phenomena, variables and circumstances that occurred during the research by presenting what actually happened. This study uses descriptive research methods with qualitative analysis techniques. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire that was proposed to the sample. With a total of 20 questions, each question is given a score of 5 so that the highest score in this test is 100. The results of this study are the implementation of online learning in class VIII AD SMP Negeri 14 Medan is less effective, especially in learning Indonesian, because in the implementation of online learning students only given the task of working on evaluation questions and only occasionally practice, and the teacher does not know whether the students really understand or not. Considering that students study at home accompanied by their parents or guardians, it is possible that students' assignments are assisted by their parents or guardians.

Before the arrival of the Covid 19 virus epidemic, the government actually launched the industry 4.0 and 5.0 revolutions, including in the field of education where the use of technology as a medium or instrument in learning can be maximized to use. However, most of teacher and students were not able to conduct yet. When this epidemic comes, it can’t help using technology in the field of education ready or not. The government's policy to execute large-scale social restrictions or PSBB to prevent the transmission of the epidemic has made the implementation of the teaching and learning process online starting from elementary level to university. However, every change certainly causes pros and cons. There are both positive and negative sides to online learning. The positive side can make it easier and more efficient for face-to-face learning to be done from home anytime and anywhere. Meanwhile, the problems that arise include a lack of understanding in the use of technology, inadequate internet network facilities and many more effects as a result of this online learning. Therefore, this article discusses the phenomena that occur around education caused by the impact of the outbreak in the middle of the Covid 19 pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic outbreak has had a serious impact on the education system. Usually, learning is done face-to-face, but with the COVID-19 pandemic learning must be done remotely. Changes in learning patterns require a learning innovation. By carrying out an innovation, it is hoped that the quality of learning can be improved. In this study, observing the implementation of geography learning during the pandemic. The research location was conducted at SMAN 1 Subang, SMAN 2 Subang, and SMAN 1 Pagaden. This research is qualitative descriptive, meaning that this research seeks to find interactive patterns of relationships and to gain understanding of meaning. The findings in SMAN 1 Subang, learning that was done virtually was considered less effective, while in SMAN 2 Subang online learning showed better results when compared to face-to-face learning. Online learning at SMAN 1 Pagaden shows good results with the implementation of a project based learning model using google earth media and the whatapps group. As a solution to the problems that arise is to implement the offline model of distance learning as well as the visiting teacher model.

Online learning integrated with face-to-face learning called blended learning is believed to be more useful than online learning or face-to-face learning itself. Schoology as a Learning Management System implemented in blended learning can help teachers to manage class information. Schoology allows students and teachers to share information and provides access to content or administrative features of certain courses. However, despite the benefits of blended learning via schoology mentioned, EFL teachers are still unwilling to exploit blended learning via Schoology in their reading classes. This literature study reviews several papers investigating the benefits and challenges of blended learning via Schoology as a Learning Management System. The purpose of the study is to observe the benefits and the challenges of blended learning via Schoology. The data were collected through primary and secondary resources. It is expected that the findings will boost the EFL teachers’ attention in applying blended learning via Schoology in their classes, and draw the attention of EFL teachers in covering the challenges of blended learning via Schoology to improve students’ learning experiences.
