Efforts to empower mosques are as centers of activities, both religious, educational and social services. But in reality, the function of the mosque with worldly dimensions does not have a maximum role in the development of the ummah and Islamic civilization. In order to preserve and develop mosques, it would require innovative thoughts and ideas as well as the will of all parties, especially the managers. The Miftahul Jannah Mosque, which is located in Kenalil Besar Alam Barajo, Jambi, is not only a place of worship, it has also functioned as a center for social activities and educational programs for local children. The forms of mentoring programs include: 1. Mosques as places of education and teaching, 2. As places for social and political activities, 3. Mosques as places for economic activities.

This research is motivated by a phenomenon that occurs in Mendahara Ilir Village, Mendahara District, East Tanjung Jabung Regency, that teenagers in this village behave inappropriately such as stealing, drinking, gambling, drugs and smoking, which makes parents and the surrounding community restless. . Then the author relates this phenomenon to the da'wah method carried out by the local da'i, whether his da'wah has had an effect or not. The research method used is descriptive qualitative field research, which describes the da'wah method in overcoming deviant behavior in adolescents. The results of the study show that the da'i method of da'i is the bil oral method and gathers youth in hadroh art groups. Teenagers in the Mendahara Ilir village seem to reduce their deviant activities. A good da'wah method for teenagers can encourage teenagers to do positive activities such as practicing hadrah, teaching hadroh to other friends, actively attending taklim assemblies, actively asking questions, polite in speaking, although not involving all teenagers in this village. However, this method can be said to be quite effective in overcoming deviant behavior in adolescents.

This research is motivated by the reality that occurs in society, namely between people in rural areas who are still implementing seloko, on the contrary in urban areas seloko has begun to fade so that both its existence and value that should be embedded in the identity of the community actually happens the other way around. The research approach that the author uses is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Research with descriptive theory is a systematic description of the theory and research results that are relevant to the variables to be studied. To obtain accurate and relevant data with the object of research, the authors apply three methods of data collection, namely, field observations, interviews, and documentation. The results obtained by the author are first, da'wah communication using seloko is considered effective because it can make the communicants become interested and feel comfortable, besides that it also makes the substance of the information conveyed more easily understood by the communicants. Second, da'wah communication with seloko is also useful, because the content of seloko itself contains expressions that include rules for behavior in the daily life of the people and legal rules or norms, which are always obeyed and respected by the community because they have sanctions. Applying the substance of the seloko means applying the customs that apply in their respective regions.
