The lack of supply of chili in the market causes the price to rise sharply. The price of chillies is almost unreasonable to far beyond the price of meat. Gray (Spodoptera litura) and Fungus colletotrichum are two of the main causes of chili plants which cause many chili plants to die or fail to harvest. must experience failure due to a lack of understanding of the beginning of the pest attacking the plants. In addition, the attack on chili plants is a high risk that must be faced by farmers. In this study using the Forward Chaining Method. Forward Chaining is an inference process that starts the search from the premise or input data in the form of symptoms leading to conclusions, namely the conclusion of pests that attack chilli plants and provide solutions for advice on handling and prevention based on observed symptoms. Data used from pest data caused by small animals such as caterpillars and flies. The results are expected to be able to identify quickly, precisely and accurately the chili plants. In addition, it is expected to be able to help farmers in anticipating the symptoms of the occurrence of pests in chili plants from an early age so that preventive measures will be taken immediately. Accuracy and accuracy are needed in identifying the symptoms of pest in accordance with the expected results.

SUMMARYThe prevalence and risk factors associated with livestock-associated MRSA (LA-MRSA) carriage was examined in Danish and Belgian veterinarians. The MRSA and LA-MRSA carriage rates were 9·5% (95% CI 5·3–15·6) and 7·5% (95% CI 3·8–13·1) for MRSA and LA-MRSA, respectively, in Belgium and 1·4% (95% CI: 0·17–5·05) in Denmark (all Danish MRSA isolates belonged to the LA-MRSA genotype). All LA-MRSA isolates were resistant to tetracycline and 53·4% (7/13) showed a multi-resistant phenotype. LA-MRSA was significantly associated with veterinarians in contact with livestock (P=0·046). In the multivariable analysis, working with small animals in a veterinary clinic seems to be negatively associated (OR 0·15, 95% CI 0–1·0,P=0·05) and a strong direct association was found for LA-MRSA acquisition and exposure to live pigs (OR 12·1, 95% CI 1·6–548·5,P=0·01). Since carriage of MRSA ST398 may increase the risk of complications during hospitalization, our results underline that preventive measures may need to be developed for veterinary professionals, particularly for livestock veterinarians.

The critical need to identify children with hearing loss and provide treatment at the earliest possible age has become increasingly apparent in recent years (Northern & Downs, 1978). Reduction of the auditory signal during the critical language-learning period can severely limit the child's potential for developing a complete, effective communication system. Identification and treatment of children having handicapping conditions at an early age has gained impetus through the Handicapped Children's Early Education Program (HCEEP) projects funded by the Bureau of Education for the Handicapped (BEH).

Purpose Benzene contamination has been reported in some food groups. This study aims to identify high-risk foods groups to assess exposure to benzene. Design/methodology/approach Benzene is a hazardous volatile organic compound commonly used in the production of chemicals, detergents, paints and plastics. In addition, benzene is present in food and beverages. Findings Citrus juice-based beverages are usually more contaminated with benzene than other beverages. Benzene was also detected in carbonated beverages, fruit juices, pickles, lime juices, mayonnaise and salad dressing. Smoked and canned products have higher content of benzene. Aromas that are used in food contained benzene. Food packaging is one of the sources of benzene contamination of food. One of the reasons for its formation in food staff is due to the reaction of vitamin C (or similar acid) with benzoate, which is mainly used as a preservative in various foods. Practical implications Foods contaminated with benzene were determined. Moreover, mechanisms of its formation and some preventive measures were discussed. Originality/value This review determined the amount of benzene in foods, mechanism of formation and suggestion for prevention of benzene contamination in food.

A mass in the lower abdomen in a sexually active man with a cryptorchid testis strongly points towards the diagnosis of malignancy in the abdominal testis.1 The incidence of testicular tumor is 11 times more in inguinal testes and 50 times more in intra abdominal testes. 2 Normally, the testes, which are inside the abdomen during gestation, migrate into the scrotum by the time of birth. Occasionally, boys are born with testes that are still in the abdomen or in the groin, not having completed their journey to the scrotum. These undescended testes are at high risk of cancer and should be moved into the scrotum at an early age or removed entirely.   doi: 10.3329/taj.v18i2.3194 TAJ 2005; 18(2): 131-133

Introduction. Adverse effects of environmental factors can cause dysfunction of organs and systems, hormonal dysfunction, genetic disorders, which can adversely affect the health of future generations. The aim is to study occupational risk factors and assess their impact on the health of male workers of machine-building enterprises, to develop preventive measures. Material and methods. The working conditions of 318 male workers of the main professions of the machine-building enterprise (miller, locksmith, electric and gas welder, turner, caster, etc.), having occupational contact with harmful occupational factors, were studied in comparison with 148 employees of the control group. Epidemiological, socio-hygienic, statistical and risk calculation methods were used. Results. 68.2% of respondents were found to have occupational contact with cutting fluid, 24.3% contact with chemicals, 14.4% - with heavy metals, 66.2% of respondents work in conditions of noise exposure, 40.1% - local vibration, 22.3% - in conditions of hypothermia, 14.4% - in conditions of overheating. Excess of maximum permissible concentrations of benzo(a)pyrene, aerosols of mineral oils, epichlorohydrin was detected in the air of the working zone. At workplaces, there were excess levels of noise, general vibration, thermal radiation. The impact of harmful occupational factors in the workplace was established to create a high risk to the health of workers. Conclusion. Working conditions of workers of the machine-building enterprise are mainly estimated as harmful. Critical organs and systems for the development of occupational pathology were identified, the high carcinogenic risk from exposure to benzo(a)pyrene was revealed. Employees of the machine-building enterprise were shown to have a high risk of oncology, respiratory diseases, central nervous system diseases, pathology in offspring. As a result, risk groups were formed and targeted preventive measures were proposed, including monitoring of the health status of high-risk groups, occupational selection, and medical examinations.

The occurrence of bleeding in pregnancy is one of the most complications experienced by pregnant women. The limited knowledge possessed by pregnant women about the risks and dangers of bleeding during pregnancy and wrong or late handling when bleeding occurs is one of the factors that cause bad conditions that occur, namely fetuses and pregnant women can die due to bleeding experienced. This study aims to determine the level of accuracy in diagnosing bleeding that occurs in pregnancy by using the Forward Chaining method precisely and accurately. The data processed in this study were as many as 20 data which came from patient medical records and interviews with experts at RSKIA Sukma Bunda Payakumbuh. The processing stages consist of preparing input data, determining decision tables, creating rules, tracking processes, making decision trees, and tracking results. The results of testing this method are that there are 90% of patients who experience bleeding in pregnancy are based on the results of the consultation entered by the user. The results of this test have been able to diagnose bleeding in pregnancy quickly and accurately using the Forward Chaining method and can be recommended to help the doctor in the emergency room to diagnosing bleeding in pregnancy.

The article provides a literature review and own research data on the problem of the formation of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in premature newborns. The long-term consequences of prematurity associated with impaired nephrogenesis, the influence of damaging factors after birth with a high risk of additional kidney damage dictate the need for long-term monitoring and preventive measures that will help preserve kidney function and prevent the development of CKD.

The changes of cancer incidence upon immigration have been used as an estimator of environmental influence on cancer risk. The previous immigrant studies have indicated that the origins of testicular cancer are at an early age in life, probably in the intrauterine period. We wanted to reexamine the critical periods on histology-specific testicular cancer in sons of immigrants to Sweden. We used the nationwide Swedish Family-Cancer Database to calculate standardized incidence ratios (SIRs) for testicular cancer in sons of parents immigrating to Sweden from low- and high-risk countries compared with the native Swedes. Among the large immigrant groups, the SIRs for sons of two Finnish and Asian parents were decreased if the sons were born outside Sweden. The sons of a Danish immigrant couple showed an increased risk of testicular cancer. The changes in SIR were most systematic for seminoma. The present patterns of testicular cancer risk among sons of immigrants point to the early environmental risk factors, which influence the risk probably after the intrauterine period. These factors appear to influence seminoma risk in a more enduring way than they influence non-seminoma.

Bone disease in patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is associated with focal (joint erosion and juxtaarticular osteopenia) and systemic bone loss (generalized osteopenia or reduction of bone mass density). Pathophysiology of bone loss is multifactorial and involves particularly proinflammatory cytokines and deleterious effects of glucocorticoid therapy. Clinical studies in patients with JIA indicate excessive activation of osteoclastogenesis and reduction of bone formation. Reduction of physical activity, muscle atrophy caused by high disease activity, and compulsory restriction in movements are also associated with bone loss. In patients with JIA, the disease can be complicated by growth cartilage involvement and systemic or local growth retardation. In the absence of preventive measures, fragility fractures can occur even at an early age.
