EARLY DETECTION OF HYPERTENSION IN ELDERLY AND IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE THROUGH HEALTHY LIFE BEHAVIOR

Hypertension is common in the elderly. The diseases is related to unhealthy lifestyles include unhealthy food habitual and lack of physical activity. Delay in detecting and handling have an impact on the quality of life. The community service had been carried out at Tanjung Anom Village, Pancurbatu subdistrict, Deli Serdang. The purpose of  this activity to detect hypertension  through health examination (Height, weight, waist size, blood pressure, blood  sugar levels, cholesterol, and uric acid  level), followed by education on healthy lifestyles and elderly gymnastic exercise and preparation of  healthy menu. Of the 49 elderly were present, 26 people (53.1%) were obese, 12 people (24.5%) had diastolic hypertension, and 30 people (61.2%) were at the stage of prehypertension. Based on risk factors, 7 people (14.3%) had high blood glucose levels, as many as 38 people (77.6%) had high cholesterol levels and 28 people (57.1%) with high uric acid levels. From the results, most of elderly have high blood pressure. In the effort to reduce the number of hypertensive patients in the elderly, it is necessary to early detection and applied a healthy lifestyle.

Panti werdha / Jompo is a home or shelter for elderly (elderly). A means by which the elderly are provided with facilities, 24-hour services, activity schedules, and entertainment required as per the elderly. Certainly in the management of nursing homes cannot be separated from the obstacles and difficulties in managing the werdha home. One is the lack of fulfillment of eating and drinking for the elderly, in addition to facing the elderly who are experiencing a decline in health, or psychological disorders such as irritability, difficulty sleeping, depressed, nervous, lonely, impatient, tense, anxious and depressed. This activity aims to improve the quality of life of the elderly through promotive and preventive approaches, namely by conducting elderly health checks such as height measurement, weight, blood pressure, supplementary feeding, and elderly gymnastics and health-related counseling of the elderly. The method used in this activity is the method of counseling, where the counseling is done in Room Hall Panti Werdha Sinta Rangkang. The number of elderly people in Panti werdha Sinta Rangkang that is as much as 80 elderly, but who follow this activity only amounted to 62 people only. Because some elderly there is a sick so it takes a total bedrest. The results achieved from this activity is the implementation of this activity well, collecting data results of health examination of elderly as well as the increasing knowledge of elderly related to the health of elderly.

Resumo: Estudo quantitativo que analisou o perfil de saúde e qualidade de vida da população idosa do município de Santa Juliana-MG. Entre os207 idosos, 53,6% eram mulheres, com idade média de 70±7,5 anos. 56% vivem com companheiro e 78,7% são aposentados. A Hipertensão Arterial,a cardiopatia e doenças reumáticas foram as mais relatadas e com relação à qualidade de vida, o domínio meio ambiente era o mais prejudicado. Background: Dyslipidemia is an important risk factor for myocardial infarction (MI). This study aimed to examine the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and its predictors of patients with MI combined with dyslipidemia in China.Methods: Information on patients' sociological characteristics, lifestyle, clinical characteristics, and quality of life were collected by electronic medical records and questionnaires. Tobit regression model was used to investigate the predictors of quality of life.Results: There were 756 patients responded. The average EQ-5D score of all the patients was 0.95 (SD: 0.11). For all patients, factors such as age, high-fat and high-cholesterol diet, sports, family history of dyslipidemia, history of peripheral artery disease significantly affected HRQoL.Conclusions: Post-discharge care of the elderly group should be paid more attention to and suggestions on the healthy lifestyle (fat control) of the patients should be encouraged to improve the quality of life of these population.

Health is something that is desired by every human being, because healthy everyone can carry out activities smoothly without interruption, can do a job, and / or work optimally. Advances in science and technology as well as socio-economic improvements have an impact on improving the health status and life expectancy of the community, so that the number of elderly people also increases. The increase in the number of elderly people will have an impact on various lives. The main impact of this increase in the elderly is the increasing dependence of the elderly. Many of us find elderly people sent to nursing homes neglected by their families and other problems. Humans sometimes forget how important health is, especially for the elderly. Currently, people ignore the importance of maintaining health, especially physical. The number of activities carried out so that they forget to maintain and maintain a healthy body. On the other hand, there is still a lack of knowledge and understanding of the importance of physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle, especially for the elderly. Therefore we need a program to improve the quality of life of the elderly. The method used is the Initial Condition Survey, Assistance (Theory and Practice) (Training, Socialization of the Application of a Healthy Lifestyle for the Elderly. The result is that the community practices a healthy lifestyle for the elderly so that they have quality. In addition, after this service, it is hoped that the community will be able to maintain and utilize medicinal plants). has been made in the yard of the posyandu for the elderly.

Introduction: The increase in the Elderly population as the main characteristic of the demographic transition brings with it multiple challenges for public health. As part of the public politics of the World Health Organization (WHO) on healthy aging, Physical Activity (PA) is relevant, being the subject of multiple studies about its benefits on the quality of life of older people. The adoption of a healthy lifestyle at an early age and even in old age, which includes PA, favors the quality of life of the subjects and a healthy aging. Method: This article is a systematic review of the Pubmed, Google Schoolar, Elsevier, Scielo and Redalyc index. Using the keywords, 132 related articles were found, however, according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 120 articles were discarded, leaving 12 studies for review. Results: 72% of the studies showed benefits at a physical level: PA in old age improves strength, balance, flexibility and muscle tone. It is also related to a significant reduction in arterial stiffness. 11% of the investigations refer to improvements in the psychoemotional sphere: PA generates positive feelings such as happiness or good self-perception. And 17% of the articles focused on quality of life: PA favors the perception of better quality of life. Conclusion: Physical activity improves health in the physical, mental and social spheres of older adults, improving their quality of life and promoting healthy aging.

Elderly is an advanced stage of the life process decreasing the body's ability to adapt to the environment. Degenerative disease is a disease that occurs due to decreased organ function, including hypertension, rhematoid arthritis, stroke, diabetes mellitus. Various strategies are pursued to improve health status and reduce morbidity in the elderly. One of them is through physical activity that is in accordance with the physical condition of the elderly and is carried out regularly. In addition, increasing knowledge through counseling which aims to help the elderly make decisions and determine a healthy lifestyle. The purpose of this activity is to improve the quality of life of the elderly. The method used is by doing elderly exercise with pre and post blood pressure checks so that it can be seen the significance of the benefits of exercise. In addition, counseling was carried out using lecture, discussion and question and answer methods. The target audience for this community service program is the elderly (elderly) in the Poskesdes Village of Benteng who are physically categorized as doing sports / physical activity for the elderly. The results of this activity show that the effectiveness of elderly gymnastics has an effect on reducing blood pressure. And from counseling, the results of the evaluation show that the elderly understand and understand the concept of healthy elderly people related to the pandemic.

<p>ABSTRAK<br />WHO menunjukan pada tahun 2013 di seluruh dunia, sekitar 972 juta orang atau 26,4% dari penghuni bumi mengidap hipertensi, yang mana angka ini akan meningkat menjadi 29,2% di tahun 2025. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui metode terapi non farmakologi berbasis kearifan lokal yang diharapkan oleh lansia untuk mengontrol tekanan darah mereka. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif. Jumlah informan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 12 orang lansia, yang berdomisili di Banjar Puri Candra Asri, Batubulan, Gianyar. Insrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar wawancara mendalam. Adapun metode non farmakologi berbasis kearifan lokal yang diharapkan yaitu Terapi Yoga, teknik relaksasi pihat dan akupuntur, dan mengkonsumsi obat herbal. Metode ini dapat menjadi masukan bagi tenaga medis dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien dengan hipertensi, dan membantu tenaga medis lainnya untuk berkolaborasi dalam upaya preventif mencegah kejadian hipertensi<br />Kata Kunci : terapi, non farmakologi, lansia, tekanan darah<br />ABSTRACT<br />WHO shows that in 2013 around the world, around 972 million people or 26.4% of the earth's inhabitants had hypertension, where this figure would increase to 29.2% in 2025.
