scholarly journals The Practicality and Effectiveness of Interactive Multimedia in Indonesian Language Learning at the 5th Grade of Elementary School

This article aims to explain the practicality and effectiveness of interactive multimedia in Indonesian language learning at class V of elementary school. This research is an R&D conducted in four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. This article is prepared based on the development stage, i.e. a large scale try out. The respondents are 5 teachers and 130 students of 5 elementary schools in Padang Timur, Padang, Sumatera Barat, Indonesia. The data are the students’ and teachers’ response towards a questionnaire, scores of students’ learning outcomes, and recordings of the students’ activities during learning process. The teachers’ and students’ responses to the questionnaires and student learning outcomes were analyzed quantitatively, while the recordings of students’ activities were analyzed qualitatively. The result of the research shows that, firstly, the media are practical because the average score of the teachers’ responses is 4.58 and students’ responses is 4.53 on a scale of 1 to 5. Secondly, the media are effective to use because the student were learning seriously and enthusiastically by using this media, and the average of student learning outcomes is 87.20 on a scale of 1 to 100. Thus, the developed media can be applied and disseminated for Indonesian language learning in 5th elementary schools.

The purpose of this study was to determine how online learning was implemented in elementary schools during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research was conducted in elementary schools in the Muara Enim District, in Sumatra Selatan, Indonesia. This was descriptive research and a qualitative approach was used. The research subjects were elementary school teachers. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation analysis. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that: 1) teachers were not ready in terms of planning and implementing online learning; 2) most elementary school teachers in Muara Enim District used the Whatsapp application in the process of implementing online learning; 3) online learning tended to be less effective because elementary school students still dependend on teachers and parents; 4) student learning outcomes tended to increase during online learning; this was indicated by the average score of students which was ≤ 70 before online learning and ≥ 90 after online learning. Teachers were still hesitant in reporting the assessment of student learning outcomes, because during online learning the teacher cannot supervise students’ completion of the assignments. For this reason, parent cooperation is needed for educating and guiding their children during online learning and so that teachers can determine the development of student learning outcomes at home. Abstract: This research was conducted with the aim of describing teacher mastery in operating online learning applications in grade 5 elementary schools, students' perceptions of online learning services provided by grade 5 elementary school teachers, the relationship of teacher mastery in operating online learning applications to student learning outcomes in elementary schools. 5th grade elementary school. The method used is quantitative with a correlational approach. Based on the data obtained, the significant value between teacher mastery and student learning outcomes shows 0.000, meaning that because the significant value is less than 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between teacher mastery in operating online learning applications and student learning outcomes. The results of this study are that there is a significant relationship between teacher mastery in operating online learning applications on student learning outcomes in grade 5 elementary school.

The application of interactive multimedia is important to enhance learning motivation and outcomes of elementary scchool students. Science material is assumed as difficult and percieved as lack motivational subject. The purpose of this study was to (1) improve student motivation through the application of interactive multimedia in science for fourth grade of Brubuh 2 Elementary School; (2) improve student learning outcomes through the application of interactive multimedia in science for fourth grade of Brubuh 2 Elementary School. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) with the research subjects were 21 students of fourth grade of Brubuh 2Elementary School. The results showed that an increase in student learning outcomes, including an increase in the average grade of 60.38% in pre-cycle into 72.41 % in the first cycle and 83.09% in the second cycle. The percentage of student motivation toward science learning by using interactive multimedia application amounted to 67.43% in the first cycle and increased to 84.23% in the second cycle. The second variable of this class action research has qualified research success criteria, that is motivation and completeness learning outcomes of students reached 80 %. This claimed that the interactive media is acceptable to enhance the motivation and science learning outcomes.

The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of students in the Indonesian language muple in grade V elementary school writing rhymes with the TPACK approach. The research conducted was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) in three cycles, with each cycle consisting of one meeting. The stages of each cycle are planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. Each meeting was conducted with a post test to determine the development of students. In the first cycle, students who completed the post test were 78%. In the second cycle, students who completed the post test were 89%. In cycle III the students who completed after carrying out the post test were 100%. These results indicate that the TPACK approach can improve student learning outcomes, especially the Indonesian language muple, the material of writing rhymes for Class V at SDN 1 Sidabowa.

This study applies the model course review horay (CRH) with the help of media board reward on the theme of learning 6 caring for animals and plants in SDN Jatirejo. The method used is an experimental method in Pre-Experimental Design in the form of Intact-Group Comparison. The subjects of the study were of grade II SDN Jatirejo in academic year 2019/2020. Data collection through observation of learning activities and written tests to measure student learning outcomes before and after being given treatment. The results of data analysis using the t-test formula to determine the effect of treatment in the experimental and control groups. The results of the study using the model course review horay helped by the media reward board were more fun and students were actively learning so that the teacher easily delivered teaching material with a very good category namely the experimental group (11,843 ) > the control group (11,655) which means that there is an influence on the use of the model course review horay with the help of media board reward in the experimental group is greater than conventional learning applied to the control group. The results of this study as a source of information input and consideration for institutions involved in learning theme 6 grade II elementary school.

This research was a classroom action research (CAR) carried out to improve the learning process with the steps of planning, implement, observing, and reflecting. This research was carried out in mathematics by utilizing the media of crime tests on integer count material. The formulation of the problem in this research were: (1) Can the media of crime be able to improve mathematics learning outcomes in integer counts ?; (2) What are the learning outcomes of each cycle by utilizing the learning outcomes of students ?. The results of the study showed that the use of stikrim media in mathematics learning integer count material could improve student learning outcomes. The results of the first cycle test were obtained by six students or 60% complete, and four students or 40% incomplete. Then the results of the second cycle test showed nine students or 91% complete and three students or 10% not complete. The increase occured in students who have reached 88% of students have completed and exceeds 75% indicators of success, and it is stated that the improvement of this learning has been successful.
