Abstract The presence of sandalwood in the villages of Eonbesi and Oelbubuk is relatively good, but the local community only knows the use of sandalwood is limited to medical purposes. The sustainability of sandalwood requires the support of all parties and a means of education in the form of a reference book is needed to increase knowledge about sandalwood ethnobotany. The purpose of this development research is to raise awareness of the general public and students as an academic community group to be able to utilize, maintain, and process sandalwood, and produce products in the form of reference books. This study uses a development model adapted from Borg and Gall (2003) consisting of 5 stages. The subjects of this study were fourth semester students, Biology Education Study Program, Nusa Cendana University who were taking the High Botanical Botany course. The results of this study indicate that the ethnobotany reference book for sandalwood in the local community of Timor Tengah Selatan (TTS) district is feasible to be developed. The results of the assessment of high plant botanist validators (BTT), sandalwood experts, and experts in learning media were 80%, 75%, and 75% respectively which were valid.

The purpose of this study was to develop a handout based on the results of research on the antibacterial power of mahogany leaf and bark extract (Swietenia mahagoni). This research is a development research which refers to the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating. The research object was students of the Biology Education Study Program, FSTT, Mandalika University of Education who had taken the Microbiology course. Handouts were validated by material expert validators, media experts, and a readability test to assess the practicality of handouts was carried out by students of the Biology Education Study Program, FSTT, Mandalika University of Education. The data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The percentage of results from the validation of experts in microbiology material was 97.61%, the validation of the instructional media experts was 97.72%, and the readability test by students was 91.79%. The results showed that handouts based on the results of research on the antibacterial power of mahogany leaf and bark extracts were very valid and suitable for use as teaching materials.

This research aims to produce teaching materials in the form of valid and practical Microbiology handouts based on the research "Antagonism of Antagonistic Fungi against Pathogenic Fungi". This type of research is development research. This development research was carried out by following the instructional design stages with the ADDIE approach, which consisted of 5 stages, namely: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The data on the feasibility of handout teaching materials were obtained from the results of validation by microbiology material experts and teaching materials expert. While the handout readability test was conducted by respondent students of the Undergraduate Biology Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The results showed that the percentage of eligibility of handout material by material expert validators was 96.52% with very valid criteria with little improvement. The percentage of feasibility of handouts by teaching materials expert is 100% with very valid criteria. The percentage of readability test by respondent students was 90.10% with very high readability criteria. The results of this study indicate that the handout teaching material is very feasible and practical to be used by students / lecturers in microbiology learning activities on the material "Antagonism of Antagonistic Fungi against Pathogenic Fungi in Plants".

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to improve the results and learning process of Genetic subjects in the Biology Education Study Program through lesson study (LS). The research type is descriptive, the sampling technique used purposive. The study sample used 40 students in the sixth semester of class a Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Education, University of Mataram in academic year 2017/2018. The research data collection technique used observation, documentation, and tests. Data on student learning outcomes and LS-based learning processes were analyzed descriptively. LS implementation in this study consisted of four cycles and each cycle consisted of three stages, namely: planning, implementation, and reflection. Classically the average value of students' cognitive achievement is 82.1% in cycle I and II while in cycle III and IV it increases to 82.67%. Data from LS implementation observation results obtained an average value of 91.63%. The conclusion of this study is the application of LS learning can improve student achievement and learning processes on Genetic subjects in the Biology Education Study Program. It is recommended to other researchers to conduct similar follow-up research in broader research areas, more samples, use more complex research designs, and use more subjects so that more optimal results can be found. Keywords: Lessons Study; learning; genetics; learning achievements; collaborative

The industrial revolution 4.0 in the field of education provides convenience in learning methods and processes. Internet-based technology makes it easier for students to learn independently, quickly in providing feedback, and freely choose material from library sources from anywhere. As a result, student learning styles change along with the development of internet-based technology. In the coursework, students can read and combine various writings from several sources, and in-class when students present assignments of learning materials that have been read so that they are easily understood by other students. Likewise, in completing paper assignments from lecturers, students can read various papers given by many lecturers. This happens because of the students' understanding of the assignments given by the lecturer. The purpose of this study was to identify the learning styles of students of the Biology Education Study Program, STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat on the development of internet-based technology in the industrial revolution 4.0. This type of research is descriptive and the approach used is quantitative. The results of this study indicate that the learning style of students of the Biology Education Study Program STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat, Padang, West Sumatra tends to be visual, namely 60.3%. The presence of internet technology and its use in an educational institution is a medium or source of learning that can be utilized by students

Abstract This study aims to analyze Pedagogy Content Islamic Knowledge (PCIK) on the Indonesian Qualification Framework (IQF) in Biology Islamic Education Study Program. The competence in Pedagogy Content Knowledge (PCK) is the achievement of Biology Education Program. The challenge faced by Biology Islamic Education program which lies under Islamic colleges and universities is to combine the program with the knowledge of Islam. The graduates of Biology Islamic Education program are required to master the Pedagogy Content Islamic Knowledge (PCIK). PCIK analysis was conducted qualitatively on Biology Islamic Education curriculum document at three state Islamic universities in Indonesia. The subjects of the study were three heads of study program, fourteen lecturers, and sixteen students. In-depth interviews, questionnaires, and discussions were conducted on the subjects. The results showed that PCIK is conceptually and textually seen in three subjects, namely capita selecta, microteaching practice, and school field practice. PCIK appeared in the scientific process, i.e. critical reflective activity on the significance of natural phenomena created by God. How to Cite : Herlanti, Y.
