Abstract: This research aims to determine differences in student anxiety levels based on gender and the relationship between students' anxiety levels before facing a mathematical test with achievement and then dig deeper information about the causes of anxiety in students. This research uses a mixed method with a sequential explanatory approach. The subjects of this study were students of class X MIA Kerinci Senior High School 2 totaling 100 students. The results of the research showed that students experiencing anxiety before taking a math test as the cause of anxiety is experience, intelligence, preparation, and family. Differences in levels of anxiety based on gender indicate that there is no significant difference between the level of anxiety experienced by male and female students but male students are more anxious than female students the cause is that there have been similar thoughts and goals in terms of achievement so as to make male students neither men nor women experience significant differences in anxiety levels. There is a relationship between the level of anxiety with learning outcomes of 0.43 which is in the category enough and has a positive relationship, namely the higher the level of anxiety, the higher the student learning outcomes. Descriptions of quantitative data indicate that there is no certainty for someone who has an anxiety level will get a definite value. Keywords: Mathematical Anxiety Level, Gender, Achievement

Masa pandemi ini sangat mempengaruhi perkembangan siswa dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran sehingga harus melakukan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Siswa dikatakan berhasil mengikuti pembelajaran dengan baik dengan melihat hasil belajarnya. Adversity Quotient merupakan salah satu kecerdasan yang dimiliki untuk mengenali kesulitan diri sendiri dan mampu mengubahnya sebagai potensi untuk mengatasi kesulitan. Hal ini penting dilakukan mahasiswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran jarak jauh kali ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Adversity Quotient dengan hasil belajar matematika. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di Depok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan analisis data deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan media Google Form dengan menyebarkan kuesioner yang berjumlah 16 item pernyataan. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 130 siswa, dengan 61 siswa laki-laki dan 69 siswa perempuan. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam uji korelasi penelitian ini memiliki nilai sig. 0,000 <0,05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara Adversity Quotient dengan hasil belajar siswa.   Relationship between Adversity Quotient and Students' Mathematics Learning Outcomes for Distance Learning in Junior High Schools This pandemic period greatly affects the development of students in carrying out learning activities so they have to do distance learning. Students are said to be successful in following the learning well by seeing the learning outcomes. Adversity Quotient is one of the intelligences possessed to recognize one's own difficulties and be able to change them as potential to overcome difficulties. This is important for students in distance learning activities at this time. This study aims to determine the relationship between Adversity Quotient and mathematics learning outcomes. The subjects in this study were 7th grade students in Depok. The research method used was a survey with descriptive data analysis. Collecting data using Google Form media by distributing questionnaires with a total of 16 statement items. Respondents in this study were 130 students, with 61 male students and 69 female students. The results obtained in the correlation test of this study have a sig value. 0.000 <0.05. It can be concluded that there is a significant and positive relationship between Adversity Quotient and student learning outcomes.

This study aims to improve students' reading ability through the first grade scramble students of SD Negeri 002 Benteng, Kecamatan Sungai Batang, which are 28 students with 11 male students and 17 female students with heterogeneous ability. This study is based on the low ability of students' learning outcomes and lack of awareness of teachers to implement an effective, innovative, and cooperative learning. The study was conducted from September 3, 2016 to October 8, 2016. This study is a classroom action research (PTK) consisting of two cycles. Minimum completeness criteria (KKM) and average analysis are used to determine whether or not improvement of student learning outcomes before and after using the scramble learning model. The results of this study indicate that the number of students who reach KKM in the initial data is only 10 people (36%), cycle I is 16 people (57%), and the second cycle is 25 people (89%). The average student score at baseline was 68.4; cycle I increased to 75,9; in the second cycle increased again to 83,6. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the model of learning scramble can improve reading ability in Indonesian language students class I of SD Negeri 002 Benteng, Kecamatan Sungai Batang.

Abstract Many studies have indicated that single-sex classrooms promote female students’ self-confidence and achievement in various professions, including professions where their rate of employment is low, such as mathematics and other exact sciences. The purpose of the present study is to examine the relationship between single-sex classrooms and math achievements among both female and male students. The study population included 608 students learning in the fifth-ninth grades, who attended state-religious schools in the southern region of Israel and came from families who had similar socioeconomic status. The students answered a short demographic questionnaire and their math teacher filled out each student’s score achieved in the regional math summative assessment. The findings showed no relationship between classroom type and boys’ achievement in mathematics, while a significant relationship was found between learning in single-sex classroom and higher math achievements among girls in elementary school. In middle school, however, no significant difference was found.

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in class XI MIPA-3 SMAN 2 Jember in the 2017/2018 academic year through the application of discovery learning to the material properties of salt solutions. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was conducted in two research cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The research subjects were students of class XI MIPA-3 SMAN 2 Jember, totaling 36 students, consisting of 17 male students and 19 female students. Data collection techniques in this study used observation for the implementation of the learning process and tests to determine student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the application of discovery learning can improve student learning outcomes regarding the properties of salt solutions. In the first cycle the percentage of student learning completeness was 58.33% (21 students) and increased in the second cycle, the percentage of student learning mastery was 88.88% (32 students). There was a significant increase from cycle I to cycle II, namely 30.50%. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI MIPA- 3 SMAN 2 Jember tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 melalui penerapan discovery learning pada materi sifat larutan garam. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus penelitian yaitu siklus I dan siklus II. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA-3 SMAN 2 Jember yang berjumlah 36 siswa, terdiri 17 siswa laki-laki dan 19 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan observasi untuk pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran dan tes untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan discovery learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa materi sifat larutan garam. Pada siklus I persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 58,33% (21 siswa) dan meningkat pada siklus II, persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 88,88% (32 siswa). Terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan dari siklus I ke siklus II yaitu 30,50%.

The purpose of this study was to improve the social studies learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Palembang by applying the Scramble learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research. The subjects in this study were class V.B SD Negeri 2 Palembang, with a total of 29 students, 16 male students and 13 female students. This research was conducted in several stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques using tests, observation and documentation. This research was conducted in three cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in student learning outcomes and student activeness by applying the Scramble learning model. The improvement of student learning outcomes in cycle I 21 students (72.41%), cycle II 23 students (79.31%), cycle III (96.55%). While the results of observations of student learning activities increased from the first cycle of meeting 1 by 65.08%, meeting 2 65.51%, cycle II meeting 1 66.38% and meeting 2 increasing to 70.69%, and meeting III meeting 1 of 77.59% and meeting 2 increased to 84.05%. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the Scramble learning model can improve social studies learning outcomes for fifth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Palembang.Keywords: learning outcomes, Scramble learning model, social science.

This research aims to improve learning outcomes by using the Macromedia flash application on the theme of my country kayanta in Sd Swasta Rk Bintang Timur Rantau Prapat in the academic year 2019/2020. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this research were grade IV students, totaly 30 students consisting of 17 male students and 13 female students. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle having two meetings. Data on the results of this study were obtained from student learning outcomes tests and observations.                    Based on the research results obtained indicate an increase in student learning outcomes on the theme of the richness of my country by using the Macromedia flash application. This can be seen from the improvement in student learning outcomes each cycle. In the initial test (pre-test) student learning outcomes conducted before the application of learning there are 7 students (23%) completed learning while 23 students (77%) have not been completed with an average grade of 57.33 In cycle 1 completeness student learning outcomes are 13 students (43%) completed in 17 students (57%) not yet finished with an average grade of 73.00. In the second cycle of student learning outcomes completeness there are 24 students (80%) complete while 6 students (20%) have not finished with an average grade of 83.00. The results of the observation of the first cycle teachers amounted to 64% with enough categories while student observations by 62% with enough categories. The observation results of the second cycle teachers experienced an increase of 82% with a very good category while student observation by 84% with a good category. By looking at the percentage of learning outcomes and observations it can be concluded that using the macromedia flash application can improve student learning outcomes.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, macromedia flash application, observation.

The reality of the process of learning mathematics that occurs commonly in the field it’s complicating dan confusing students. This is very impact on interest and student learning outcomes. One of the alternative to improve students in understanding the definition of logarithms. The purpose of this study is to know the understanding of learning concepts and to know the response of students during the learning process. The research was located at SMA Negeri 15 Bandung, in class XII-Language, the number of students 20 people consisting of 6 male students and 14 female students. The location is on jl. Sarimanis I Sarijadi Bandung. Classroom action research method with research design consists of 4 (four) stages: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The study was conducted 2 cycles. Reflection results of the 1st cycle used as the 2nd cycle’s plan material in order to the 2nd cycle of learning process more focused. The results concluded that: The use of image illustration media can improve the concept of logarithm definition. The results of questionnaires and interviews with students showed all students were happy with the learning process, all students interested in discussing with friends, all students declared the role of teachers help in working easily and interactively, most assume the given problem is not too difficult, most students more active, and all students love to solve the problem of logarithm by using illustration of the picture. The method of group teaching is more appropriate because students can communicate with other friends so that all students can understand the definition of logarithms correctly. This research was conducted at SDN 148 Pekanbaru. The subjects of this study were 29 grade 3 students consisting of 17 male students and 12 female students. This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of Indonesian students by applying the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model. The method used in this research was experiment. This research was conducted for 3 days, where the first day gave a pretest to students, the second day provided learning, and the third day was posttest. The results of the study were seen from the students' pretest and posttest. On the results of the pretest of 29 students, there were 13 students who completed and 16 other students who did not complete with an average of 68.03. Then in the posttest, the number of students who have completed has increased by 26 people while students who have not completed were 3 people so that an average of 80.62 was obtained which was relatively high. The results of t-test with tcount = 10.17 and ttable = 2.048, which can be concluded that tcount > ttable, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there were differences and increases in student learning outcomes at SD Negeri 148 Pekanbaru between before and after the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model.

This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve student learning outcomes by usingintegrated multimedia learning physics for senior high school or equivalent. This research was conducted atthe senior high school (SMA)12 Pekanbaru. The subjects in this study were students of class X IPA 1 with 36students consisting of 16 male students and 20 female students. The study was conducted in two cycles andconsisted of 8 meetings with the details of the first cycle consisting of three meetings and three times quiz andone daily test (UH) and the second cycle consisted of four meetings consisting of three meetings and threetimes a and one dayly test. Each cycle is analyzed and feedback and repairs are needed. Based on the resultsof the study, it was found that there was an increase in individual completeness in the 1st cycle. 40.41% atquis-1, 51.65% at quis-2 and 90.81% at quis-3. Likewise, the second cycle. 80.25 in quiz-1, 85.75% in quis-2and 90.00% in quis-3. Based on these results it was found that the increase in individual completeness in the2nd cycle was higher and more stable. This shows that the results of individual completeness during learningboth cycle-1 and cycle-2 have increased, but the increase in cycle-2 is more linear. These results indicatethat learning using integrated multimedia can improve student physics learning outcomes.

The Purpose of the study: This study investigated the relationship between students' anxiety and students’ engagement towards science in the presence of technology as a mediator. Methodology: For this research, data were collected personally through three different questionnaires for Students’ Academic Engagement, Anxiety towards Science, and Technology Attitude for Learning from the science students of 9th and 10th class at the secondary level. A total of 420 boys and girls participated in the study. The mediating analysis was performed in the Spss21 extension of Preacher and Hayes is used to analyse the data. Main Findings: Findings showed that technology attitude for learning significantly mediates the relationship between anxiety towards science and students’ academic engagement. The levels of students’ academic engagement and technology attitude for learning are higher in male students as compared to female students, whereas anxiety towards science is higher in female students. Similarly, the level of anxiety towards science is significantly higher in 10th class students as compared to students of class 9th. There is no significant difference in academic engagement and technology attitude for learning between 9th and 10th class students. Application of the study: The previous literature has shown the significant negative effect of anxiety on student engagement. While the present research exposed that technology significantly mediates the relationship between anxiety and engagement. It is concluded that technical assistance for science subjects can reduce anxiety and enhance student engagement towards science. Novelty/originality of the study: The integration of technology in the educational settings at the school level is not only crucial for students’ better academic performance, but also it can assist the teacher by introducing new innovative ways of teaching.
