Teachers’ understanding is important in preparing assessment based on Higher Order Thingking Skills (HOTS) in elementary school learning in the city of Palembang. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research subjects were teachers who taught Grade VI Elementary Schools in Palembang, which amounted to 8 people. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The results showed that the understanding of elementary school teachers in the city of Palembang was 71.87% in the good category. However, the teacher's understanding when differentiating between HOTS and not HOTS shows that the category is sufficient with 57.5% of teachers being able to distinguish between HOTS questions. Teachers still experience problems in preparing HOTS-based assessment instruments for learning in elementary schools that showed 78,125%. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop guidelines for developing HOTS-based assessment instruments for learning in elementary schools.Keywords : Understanding, Assesment, HOTS

This research aims to improve students learning outcomes in the sub-themes of heat transfer around us in 5th-grade students of SD Negeri 132 Palembang. through the application of the Problem Based Learning Model using Audiovisual Media. This research uses the method of classroom action with two cycles of action. Data collection techniques that are used are test and observation. Action class research has four stages namely Planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The Subject in the research is 5th-grade student of SD Negeri 132 Palembang with a total of 36 students consisting of 20 females students and 16 male students. The results of this research indicate that the completeness of student learning outcomes in the first cycle amounted to 61,11% with an average 64,30%, in cycle II the completeness of student learning outcomes increased to 83.33% with an average of 81.52. From the result of observation, in the first cycle,the percentage of student activity reached 71.45 within the active category, in the second cycle there was an increase of 81.09% within the very active category. So it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning model using Audiovisual can improve the learning outcomes of students in the heat transfer sub-theme around us in 5th-grade students of SD Negeri 132 Palembang. Keywords: Model Problem-Based Learning, Audiovisual Media, Students learning outcomes

This study aims to describe the application of the scientific approach from teacher interactions on online learning in class V of 128 Palembang public elementary schools. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that, the application of the scientific approach from teacher interac tions on online based learning has been carried out but from the 5M step activities there are still some activities that have not been effective on online based learning such as teacher interactions in observing a score of 100, namely the teacher using image media and textbooks There is a score of 100 in the book and Reasoning, namely the teacher gives a task in each meeting that is categorized as very good while the Questioning activity with a score of 50 is there is no reciprocal activity between the teacher and students, Trying to score 33, the teacher only gives a few questions and communicates a score of 16, that is, the teacher does not provide opportunities for students to communicate the results of their work are categorized as Less. This study aims to determine the suitability of learning materials with basic competencies in the thematic book theme 3 class IV SD revision edition 2017. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this study were thematic books on the theme of 3 grade IV SD as well as class teachers and one of the fourth-grade students from SDN 99 OKU. The data collection techniques used were documentation and interviews. In this study, an analysis was carried out covering 3 domains, namely, affective, cognitive, and psychomotor domains. In the affective domain, the data collection technique used interviews, while the cognitive and psychomotor domains used the documentation study by analyzing the 2 aspects analyzed. Based on the results of interviews with teachers and students to see the level of suitability in the affective domain, which is very appropriate. As for the results of the analysis of the level of conformity between the learning material and basic competencies in the cognitive and psychomotor domains as a whole, from the 2 aspects analyzed, the results are included in the very appropriate category. Thus it can be concluded that the suitability of the learning material with the basic competencies in the theme book 3 for grade IV SD revision edition 2017 is very appropriate. Keywords: suitability, learning material, basic competencies, thematic book theme 3

This study has the following objectives To describe the application online learning using whatsApp social media for students. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative research. The study was conducted in February 2021. The sample in this study are teacher and students of grade I SDN 25 Indralaya. Data collection using a questionnaire and observation sheet. Data analysis techniques on this research uses descriptive statistical techniques. The results showed that the effectiveness of the use of social media whatsApp for online learning in grade I SDN 25 Indralaya classified as moderate with a percentage of 35%. Meanwhile, from the results of observations shows that the use of whtasApp social media on learning online in class I was classified as good with a percentage of 44%. Keyword: effectiveness, whatsApp Social media, online learning

This research is a research and development (R & D) which aims to produce cross-cultural-based teaching materials with the Project Based Learning model on the sub-theme of globalization around me. The development model used is a 3D model with 3 steps, namely Define, Design, and Develop. Based on the results of the validation that has been carried out on cross-cultural-based teaching materials with the Project Based Learning model which is assessed by the validator, the total value of the material aspects of expert 1 is 93.75% and the display aspect is 95%, from expert 2 with the percentage value on the material aspect is 90.62 % and the display percentage reaches 85%, while the practitioners give the percentage value for material aspects is 95.31% and display aspects reach 95%. Based on the results of this assessment, it can be concluded that the teaching materials are valid and suitable for use. Keywords: Development, Teaching Materials, Cross-culture, Project Based Learning Model

This study aims to compare similarities and differences about the learning video. This type of research is descriptive qualitative analysis research. The subject of this study was observing a learning video, one of the teachers of Grade V.A SD Negeri 100 Palembang with a learning video from Youtube. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2020- 2021 school year. Data analysis in this study using observation sheets and interviews. In terms of the content of learning materials have been well used for students both teacher videos and videos from Youtube, the use of music in the teacher's video and Youtube has used musical instruments with a low voice followed by voice over. Even though both the teacher's video and the video made by the creator on Youtube still have some shortcomings but not too fatal such as the error of the word and display the face of the narrator. teacher-made learning videos and learning videos from Youtube to the whole have been good to be used in learning although there are some parts that must be improved in the future so that the learning videos made more interesting, easy to understand and effective. Keywords: Analysis, Learning Videos, Comparison

This study aims to develop cross-cultural-based teaching materials on the sub-themes of globalization and love for the country in the form of pictorial stories in grade VI elementary school and provide an understanding of the importance of understanding and appreciating differences and knowing the validity of teaching materials. The type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with a 3D model, namely Define, Design, and Development. This study uses validation in terms of material and appearance. Based on the results of expert validation by 2 lecturers and practitioners by the teacher of this teaching material, it got the valid and feasible category. The acquisition of material validation assessments got a percentage of 94.23% by expert 1, 80.76% by expert 2, and 96.15% by practitioners. Meanwhile, display validation obtained a percentage of 90% from expert 1, 90% from expert 2, and 95% from practitioners. Keywords: Development, Teaching Materials, Cross-Culture, Picture Stories.

This study aims to describe information about higher order thinking skills in the evaluation of thematic learning used by grade IV teacher at SD Negeri 81 Palembang. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The subject and objects in this study were the grade IV teachers and the learning evaluation used by the grade IV teachers. Data were collected using research instruments through interviews and document. The result of this study indicate that the evaluation of learning in the daily assessment of theme 1 is 4% HOTS and 96% LOTS, the daily assessment of theme 2 is 24% HOTS and 76% LOTS, the daily assessment of theme 3 is 20% HOTS and 80% LOTS, theme daily assessments 4 there are 16% HOTS and 84% LOTS and the mid semester assessment is 7% HOTS and 93% LOTS. So the learning evaluation used by the teacher is only a small part using operational verb (KKO) which contains higher order thinking skills and are dominated by operational verb (KKO) which lead to lower order thinking skills. Keyword: Higher Order Thinking Skills, Evaluation, Thematic Learning, Teacher, Class IV.

This Classroom Action Study was aimed at describing the online learning outcomes improvement and learning process of Grade VI students in Public Elementary School 77 Palembang through the using of Zoom Aplication. The research was conducted through two cycles of action. The diagram shows that the exhaustiveness increased from cycle I at 47% to 88% after cycle II. The learning outcomes also improved from cycle I to II at 63.8 and 82.9 respectively. This study concluded that through the using of Zoom Application, there will be improvement at online learning outcomes in thematic learning.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Online Learning, Zoom Application
