During the Covid-19 pandemic in the spring of 2020, educational organizations around the world were closed suddenly, while education continued. In a time of digitalization and information technology, such emergencies are no excuse for halting continuous learning. It has become evident that the digital revolution concerns people and their habits, behaviors, and attitudes in using the new technology. This conceptual article is based on the current discourse on the “new normal” after Covid-19, which will be about change, reorientation, and sustainability. A sustainable society requires access to successful strategies, agile and flexible leadership, digital platforms, partnerships, and the ability to respond to rapid change, promote flexibility in learning, and support our students. Based on these aims, we can prepare for the UNESCO initiative, Futures of Education – Learning to Become.   Keywords: Covid-19, ecosystem, futures of education, OER Recommendation, new normal

Work from home (or remote working) has become the new normal ever since the pandemic hit the world. This new normal, which represents the unison of social and technical assemblage, has been used as a backdrop in the study to explore the nature of employee job behaviour and its impact on job satisfaction. The sample consisted of employees who are working remotely from their homes in the information technology sector. The Cronbach alpha of the questionnaire was found to be .862. The results indicate that dimensions of employee job behaviour like enhanced work association, need for interaction for information exchange, and increased work responsibility were found to be highly correlated in the backdrop of work from home. Further, employee job behaviour was found to be significantly impacting job satisfaction of employees in the backdrop of work from home.

A topic that has come increasingly into limelight is rising economic inequality in the world and the suffering of the labouring classes associated with the rise of new technology—in particular, artificial intelligence and digital platforms. Not surprisingly, these were topics with which the author had some ample engagement during his years as policymaker and this chapter speaks to this new global challenge. The chapter provides some basic information about the state of inequality and the falling share of labour income, and also suggests policy interventions to mitigate some of these problems.

Creating the global village very much attach to a macroergonomic approach to work life issues theoretically, empirically and in action. The underlying paradigm in macroergonomics is very much the same in various countries and may only differ regarding terminology. In this symposium we will enjoy the experiences from the North American pioneers and one Japanese pioneer. The world around us is being transformed during the past few years. Technical development, primarily within the information and communication area, is both a prerequisite and a driving force for the internationalization and globalization of economy, trade, science and culture. At the same time on another level the development of new technology, advanced and widespread use of computer technology and telecommunication and the convergence of these technologies have a profound impact on organizational and quality aspects of our lives today both at work and at home. New application areas within information industry are emerging in the integration of communications, computer and media. The span of control for human intervention might seem to shrink when we take use of more integrated technical solutions. On the other hand the structures in work life built during the industrialized era seem to break down and new organizational structures characterized by networking and virtual organizations, are offering new forms for human influence and interventions. Education and training have a key role for taking advantage of the opportunities and foreseeing the risks. Recent discussions about the role of ergonomists have centered around our role as change agents who are also trained as scientists. This scientist/practitioner dual identity can cause difficulties in implementing ergonomics. The purpose of this panel is to present macroergonomic strategies for creating change. Panelists will present structural, strategic, and participatory macroergonomic approaches. These approaches provide a larger framework from which we can understand our role, our research, ergonomic knowledge, and how to implement meaningful change in organizations. Without this overarching framework, ergonomics remains an interesting but impractical means for example in the field of transferring technology. Moreover these implementation issues confront people everyday in the expansion of organizations and technology across an ever shrinking global village. With or without ergonomic input, people and organizations are making changes every day that profoundly influence human performance and behavior. There are many examples that these change efforts fail. The papers will argue that these failures are rooted in the technical, structural and process focus of these changes, without considering the human. The macroergonomic strategies to be presented suggest routes on a larger road map to create meaningful change. This is even more important in the near future, when goals of sustainable environments are set. When capital and technology as well as people become increasingly and rapidly mobile at the global level, the strength of the local competence and know-how environment will become of greater significance for the development and prosperity of the individual countries and for the living conditions of their citizens. Competence to cope with the rapid pace of change will become ever more essential. Global villages are being created in the countryside around the world, with the use of information technology. Electronic marketplaces are used to strengthen small enterprises, to create new professional roles, and to strengthen the citizen's role. Adapting a perspective of macroergonomics is crucial. Guiding principles for a national information technology investment are formulated both in USA and Europe where also questions are brought up regarding information support for innovative industry, distance education, decentralized work and distributed civic information.

All nations throughout the world have been influenced by rapid developments and transformations in the twenty first century. Throughout this process of rapid change, in which newly developed technologies and globalization gained momentum, all social establishments are being restructured. The restructuring process may only be realized with the involvement of individuals raised and trained in accordance with the age we live in, thus the strategic importance of educational organizations has risen. For educational organizations to fulfill the expectations of the responsibilities assigned to them, they must be managed in accordance with the requirements of this era. School principals are laden with important responsibilities throughout this process. One of the foremost variables of the transformation process enabled by digital technologies in the digital age is the concept of digital culture. This concept must be analyzed regarding its repercussions in educational organizations. This study analyzes the digital culture which has emerged in the digital age regarding its repercussion in schools and school management from a conceptual perspective.

Present economy and society are under a “digital revolution”. Digital platforms connect service and product suppliers to recipients all around the world creating new businesses and changing business models in place. Old-fashioned informal gig-economy and sharing practices by using the new technology seem to change consumption and production patterns to more efficient and sustainable ones… or maybe not. This “new economy” also poses several challenges to law questioning the adequacy of concepts and regulations in force. Disputes with authorities and incumbent industries end up in violence or in courts, including the European Court of Justice. We intend to give an overview of those challenges, especially in light of European Union law and following a multilevel constitutionalist approach, which we believe is best suited to respond to the regulatory challenges of this “new economy”.

Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) was developed in 1990 to overcome the shortage of IP Version 4 (IPv4) addresses. The world saw IP Version 6 as the next generation IP addressing and an innovative backbone for the Internet. Although more than twenty five years have passed since the development of IPv6, but still IPv6 is seen as new technology without drastic enhancements and has not been widely adopted. Even Information Technology giants fear the network transition to IPv6 backbone. This article analyses the reason for this resistance towards IPv6. A detailed study of the same has been conducted and is discussed in the paper. The discussion includes the myths and facts that has resulted to the IPv6 resistance and outlines the resolutions for IPv6 transitions.

During the COVID-19 pandemic HyFlex teaching/learning has increasingly grown into a crucial feature of education. My strong conviction is the integration of information technology in education will be further accelerated and online education has eventually become an integral component of the present-day education. Despite the drawbacks, there are some obvious benefits to leveraging a HyFlex course model. It allows students more flexibility than ever before, meaning they can adjust and adapt as needed to accommodate their schedules (in our case, being in Ukraine or abroad). It also gives students access to a greater breadth of learning materials than they would otherwise receive. It is worth mentioning that after Covid-19 the world and education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital platforms. This resulted in the largest “online movement” in the history of education. Importantly, research suggests that online learning has been shown to increase retention of information and less time-consuming, means the changes Coronavirus have caused will be here to stay.

The technology of blended learning is one of the modern trends in education both in the world and in Russia. The article explores the various possibilities of blended learning technology. As a means of implementing online learning, it is proposed to use LMS Moodle, which is widely used among educational organizations. The categorization of the main elements of Moodle from the perspective of the organization of pedagogical control, forms of presentation of teaching materials is presented. Examples of the use of basic resources and elements of Moodle in the educational process are given. The interactive properties of individual elements those allow you to more effectively implement online learning in blended learning technology are revealed. An approach is proposed to understand the essence of blended learning technology as a technology that allows to activate a student’s activities in the framework of full-time education by using online training and transferring (from full-time education) those activities that students are able to implement in the absence of a teacher.
