The article is aimed at further developing the instrumentarium to ensure the financial sustainability of enterprise as the basis of its economic security. It is proved that the economic security of enterprise largely depends on the financial component along with sustainability, solvency, liquidity, and profitability. The position, considered undeniable, is that financial sustainability constitutes the basis of security of enterprise and its ability to implement development strategies in the context of minimizing the impact of risks, threats and dangers. It was noted that the effectiveness of the interrelationship and mutual impact of financial sustainability and security of enterprise is reflected in its financial flexibility on the basis of the ability to change the volume and structure of sources of financing, as well as the directions of investment of financial resources under the influence of risks, threats, dangers of the internal and external environment. The state approach to the gradation of levels of financial sustainability and economic security of enterprise is proposed taking into account the retrospective, current and prospective nature of the impact of risks, threats and dangers on the activities of enterprise; the relevant instrumentarium of evaluation and management tools is specified. It is substantiated that modern approaches in managing the financial sustainability of enterprise on a securely oriented basis should be grounded on systemacity, processity, functionality and synergy. Prospects for further research in this direction are the substantiation of the indicator approach to assessing the level of financial sustainability of enterprise on the basis of taking into account the parameters of its economic security and the development of an instrumentarium for identifying both the existing and the potential threats and dangers.

The article considers the approaches to the interpretation of the category "shadow economy", which causes a variety of approaches to assessing the impact of the shadow economy on the socio-economic development of Ukraine. The spread of the pandemic and the complication of economic conditions, formed as a result of the introduction of forced restrictive measures, have led to the growth of the shadow economy in Ukraine. The index of shadowing of the economic sphere in relation to the inflation index and the level of the state budget deficit has been studied. The factors that led to the shadowing of the economy and caused the growth of the share of the shadow sector in the economy of Ukraine are highlighted. The main components of shadow employment are identified. Business entities operating in the shadow sector have significantly more competitive advantages and much higher efficiency than legally operating businesses. As a result, such enterprises are an obstacle to the flow of funds to the budgets of all levels of the country, and as a consequence, have a negative impact on socio-economic development in general. In recent years, state budget expenditures have been growing too slowly, which indicates a high level of shadowing of the economy in conditions of high inflation and, consequently, negatively affects the socio-economic security of society. Budget expenditures are closely linked to public policy, which allows the state to curb the level of economic shadowing through measures to reform relevant areas. It is investigated that the State budget expenditures grow too slowly, which indicates a high level of shadowing of the economy in conditions of high inflation. The paper substantiates the reasons for the growth of the shadow economy and identifies the main measures to reduce shadow employment, the manifestations of which are the deformation of social and economic institutions of the state. The de-shadowing of the economy provides citizens with the right to social protection, in the form of social guarantees in case of unemployment, temporary incapacity for work, accidents or occupational diseases during official work, pensions, etc.

The purpose of the article is to consider the impact of a number of factors (the wage fund in the economy, its share in GDP, and state social insurance fees rates) on the result indicator – the amount of the financial resources of the state social insurance. Two-factor models of the formation of financial resources of the state social insurance in the article have investigated. The largest change in the result indicator has caused by the size of the wage fund in the economy and the size of the insurance fees rate is calculated. The current practice of reducing the number of insurance fees in 2016 negatively affected the number of financial resources of state social insurance have investigated. It is determined that the reserve for increasing the result indicator is an increase in the absolute size of the wage fund in the economy, which taxpayers due to certain circumstances do not seek to declare and tax. To a lesser extent, such a reserve is the share of the wage bill in the country's GDP.

Sustainable development of an enterprise is a gradual change or maintenance of the appropriate level of all indicators of enterprise sustainability, capable of resisting negative environmental factors, using internal potential, while preserving the integrity and basic properties. That is, it can be argued that sustainable development of the enterprise is provided on the basis of taking into account the influence of the external environment and improving the strategic management within the enterprise in order to increase its efficiency and continuous development. For the enterprises sustainable development means adopting business strategies and endorsing activities that meet market needs and stakeholders at the same time protecting, sustaining and strengthening the human and natural resources that will be needed in the future. The development of an effective management structure for the sustainable development of the business entity requires the integration of all functional components - business planning, organization, accounting, analysis, control. The priority task for ensuring the economic security of a country, which is especially noticeable in the rapidly changing conditions of the contemporary global world, is to forecast challenges and threats. Economic security is one of the necessary conditions for state development, which provides guidelines for making major social and economic decisions. There are a few studies on the determinants of the economic security and no data about security determinants that are required to monitor it. The study aims to identify possible links between leading determinants of the economic security. For this purpose, on the example of Ukraine, causal links between the formation of real GDP (as the leading determinant that characterizes the economic security of the state), 11 determinants that indicate the level of international economic development, and 6 determinants of social development for the period 2014–2020 were determined. With a 5% level significance, the impact on the volume of real GDP of 14 determinants of state economic security was noted and specific time lags were defined. Besides, the bilateral causal effect and lack of causal connection between individual determinants were mentioned. Findings are helpful for effective public administration. In addition, active measures are needed to combat corruption, shadow and criminal economy, and state protection of domestic producers operating in the military, food, information, and energy security sectors.
