Almost all universities divide their IT freshman into classes randomly or based on students score, either their score during the selection test held by the university or National Examination score. Universities often find case that a class consists of all ‘smart’ students and a class consists of all ‘lazy’ students. This thesis intends to create an application to help universities divides their Information Technology freshman into classes based on freshman competency and experience about Information Technology (IT) on the senior high school. The experiment is conducted by collecting data IT students who are not in the first semester. The data consists of their experience about IT as well as other knowledge fields and their current GPA. The results of the experiment show that from 50 data samples collected, the application correctly predicts 34 students GPA range based on respondents competency with IT and other knowledge fields during their study in senior high school.

The data obtained describe that the Indonesian language teachers of Senior High School (SMA) have the highest scores, then the Indonesian language teachers of Junior High School (SMP), and the last ones were the teachers of elementary school (SD). Moreover, among the Indonesian language techers‘ capabilities of SMA, SMP, and SD in doing UKBI have not shown the significant differences.

As in a number of other continents, Africa experienced a wave of student and union protests in May 1968. One of its epicenters was in Senegal, based at the University of Dakar, also known as the “eighteenth French university,” where students from France and almost all Francophone Africa were directed. The events of May 1968 in Senegal were primarily caused by local factors, although similarities with the global youth protest movement can also be found. Initially ignited by a student revolt over the conditions of scholarships, the movement spread to high school students and workers’ unions, gaining the support of the working classes, while the party-state relied on the army’s loyalty as well as the support of marabouts, the Muslim leaders. This in turn expanded the crisis, first from Dakar to other parts of the country, then from Senegal to the native countries of the students who had been arrested and expelled after the university campus had been stormed by the police. At the crossroads between an escalating student strike, a student movement infiltrated by political opposition or foreign influence, a rebellion against neocolonialism, as well as a sense of weariness due to difficult social and economic circumstances, May 1968 in Senegal resembled a protest against the personal power of President Senghor as well as a demonstration led by young people who, like their counterparts abroad, wanted to change the world. The national crisis, in a context of international turmoil and in interaction with global issues, ended on September 26, when the four-month high school strikes satisfactory ended.

In the early years of university learning, university students required academic adjustment in regards to the differences between the learning demands and strategies between senior high school and university. Academic adjustment is a required process to fulfill academic needs appropriately. Schneider (1964), Aspinwal & Taylor (1992) found that students who are optimist were more likely to undergo the transition from senior high school to university with a lower level of stress. Seligman (2006) stated optimism as a way for individuals to explain and link an event that is perceived to be wonderful as personal, permanent, and pervasive. 129 students from the Faculty of Psychology participated in this research. The measures used based on Seligman’s theory weas Schneider academic adjustment. The validity of the measure was between 0.3-0.65 and the validity of the academic adjustment measure was between 0.3-0.62. The reliability of the optimism measure was between 0.17-0.64 and the reliability of the academic adjustment measure was 0.874. Based on the analysis of the data and the results of the Spearman Rank Correlation test, there was a quite significant finding on the relationship between optimism and academic adjustment. The aspect of permanence was found to have a stronger relationship with academic adjustment in comparison to the other two aspects of optimism. Future research suggested further research in understanding the role of optimism towards the academic adjustment of the university students of the Faculty of Psychology. The staffs of the faculty of psychology could utilised the results of this research to assemble an optimism and academic adjustment training for the recently enrolled university students.

There are many businesses that are carried out by schools to prepare their students to face national examinations. In fact almost all schools provide material deepening to their students for subjects tested at the national examination. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the level of success of the school in preparing students in facing national examinations. The method used is a decision tree with C4.5 algorithm and naïve Bayes algorithm. From the results of the study, the results of the accuracy of the naïve bayes algorithm were as big as 95,50% , while accuracy using the c4.5 algorithm is equal to 78,50%. Then it can be concluded that the predictions generated from the naïve bayes algorithm are better compared to the c4.5 algorithm .

The application of Information Technology is a solution that can be applied for the sustainability of community activities in the midst of this pandemic, one of which is the education sector. Edmodo's E-Learning system is one of the most widely used e-learning systems for the teaching and learning process. The application of e-learning certainly changes the way students learn from offline to online. EUCS (end-user computing satisfaction) is one of the methods used to analyze user satisfaction of an information system, where this method has 5 variables, namely content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness. The case study of Senior High School 1 Sampang will be the object of this research, where the EUCS method is used to measure the satisfaction of end users of the Edmodo E-Learning system. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to active students at Senior High School 1 Sampang by obtaining a sample of 80 respondents. From the results of the research conducted, it was found that the EUCS method can be applied to the Edmodo E-Learning system at Senior High School 1 Sampang because the data obtained from the respondents was declared valid and reliable so that it can be relied upon in measuring end user satisfaction with the Edmodo E-learning system, while the factors - the factors of the EUCS method that affect the satisfaction of the end user of the Edmodo E-Learning system at Srnior High School 1 Sampang are the content and accuracy factors.

Impulse momentum theorem is one of the fundamental principles of physics, especially in mechanics. Therefore, students’ understanding of impulse and momentum will contribute to their success in learning physics. This study exposed common students difficulties in solving problems related to impulse and momentum. The subjects consisted of 175 students of a Senior High School in Malang, 70 students of grade XI who recently learned about impulse and momentum and 105 students of grade XII who relearned the topic for national examination preparation. The data were gathered using multiple-choice test with open explanation and confidence rating scale. The study concluded that the students’ difficulties were not only caused by their lack understanding of the concepts but also by their deficiency in using vectors.
