The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an effect between green product made by the company on the decision to buy green products among young consumers in Indonesia, using green product identification as a moderating variable. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis (MRA) techniques. Data were obtained through questionnaires to 200 young consumers. The results of this study indicate that green products have a significant and positive direct influence on the purchasing decisions of young consumers. However, when green product identification is included as the moderating variable, the indirect relationship pattern between green products has a positive but insignificant effect on the purchasing decisions of young consumers. Thus, it is concluded that the decision of young consumers to buy green products is actually determined by the awareness of the importance of green products, not green product identification.

This paper aims to evaluate the purchase behavior and reactions of educated young consumers towards ‘green products' which is an essential element of the green marketing. Various variables have been found on the basis of the literature review. The survey questionnaire was designed with the help of literature and expert's inputs and got 343 actual respondents. An exploratory factor analysis and linear regression analysis has been used to bring the findings of the study. The result of the study shows that EYCs (Educated young consumers) purchase behavior towards green product is positive. Green product awareness, Eco-labels and satisfaction and all these found significantly associated with the purchase behavior or intention, but premium price and consumer (those who are highly concern towards environment) has insignificant relationship with the purchase behavior. The concept of green marketing in India is emerging and the study can be a meaningful guide.

This study examines purchasing decisions of green products, viewed from the aspect of consumer preferences and perceptions in the perspective of Theory of Planned Behavior (Ajzen, 1991). A quantitative approach was applied, using a questionnaire to 100 respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that simultaneously, consumer  preferences and perceptions influence purchasing decisions. However, partially, there is no influence of preference on purchasing decisions of green products. This study provides support for further expansion of the theory of planned behavior in the context of enviromental consumerism, as well as practical support for producers, marketers, and public policy makers in encouraging ecosystems of responsible consumption and do not harm the environment.

We investigated the influence of consumer innovativeness and public self-consciousness on green product purchasing behaviors (e.g., decision to purchase and pay a premium price). We conducted 2 experiments on 2 green products (mineral water and a car) with undergraduate students (N = 303) in Korea. The results revealed that consumer innovativeness played a generally marginal role in green product purchasing decisions, whereas public self-consciousness figured importantly in such decisions. However, public self-consciousness had no influence when products did not have logos identifying them as being green. In addition, the influence of the 2 variables on the purchasing behaviors was found to be contingent on the type of product. On the basis of these findings, we concluded that green product purchasing behaviors more closely reflect conspicuousness, rather than innovativeness.
