Background: It is known that the power of the heart alone is about 3.3 W, and the length of the vessels is about 100,000 km. It made us doubt that with this power the heart can deliver blood to the capillary bed. Effects on the vascular wall of various modes of laser radiation (wavelength of 630-640 nm.) showed that if continuous radiation did not affect the parameters of blood pressure, frequency regimes had an impact. This leads us to the idea that the root cause of the development of different cardiovascular diseases is the system disturbance of the activity of the vascular pump leads to the increase of intra vascular pressure and the emergence of the hypertensive illness and the coronary heart disease. The local disturbances can cause various diseases depending on the organ where they develop. Rationale: According to our calculations - the length of the arterial bed is 29.1 - 504,6 km. Mathematical modeling showed that if the delivery of blood from the heart to the capillary bed, the required power ranges from 660 to 11942 W. Thus, the main load during transportation the blood to the capillary bed rests on the artery but not on the heart and the vascular pump plays the major role in transportation of blood. Even minor changes in the wall of the arteries, which disrupts vascular pump, lead to the emergence of various vascular diseases. The rationale for this idea I got Ming Chien Kao Awards 2015 [1]. The mortality from the diseases due to the affection of vessels came out now on the first place. The use of the Intravenous laser blood irradiation (ILBI) within the last 30 years showed its high efficiency in a treatment of diseases of vessels and heart, and other system diseases. Therefore ILBI, as the method of the system impact on the blood system, allows to lower the lethality and to increase the life expectancy [2]. The lasers used for treatment of various diseases, the waves having length of 630-640 nanometers are the most effective for the direct impact on the blood and the vascular wall. The energy of the waves of this length is absorbed by oxygen, improves the microcirculation in tissues, changes the viscosity of the blood and affects the wall of vessels [3].

Objective. To evaluate and study the dynamics of endothelial dysfunction instrumental indicators, vascular wall stiffness and microcirculation state in patients with gastric cancer (adenocarcinoma) before and after chemotherapy; compare it with the results obtained from healthy volunteers and patients with cardio-vascular diseases.Materials and Methods. The study included 65 people: 25 healthy volunteers, 15 patients with known cardio-vascular diseases (CVD) and 25 patients with histologically confirmed gastric cancer (adenocarcinoma) stage 2—4 who underwent surgical treatment followed by chemotherapy according to the FOLFOX, XELOX, and XP regimes. For non-invasive assessment of the vascular wall’s state of large vessels and microcirculation, all patients in the main group underwent computer nailfold capillaroscopy and finger photoplethysmography before chemotherapy and within a month after the completion of the last course. For healthy volunteers and patients with CVD, the above studies were performed once during the examination.Results. The data obtained indicate a significant increase in the reflection index of small muscle arteries (RI) and the stiffness index of large conducting arteries (aSI) during chemotherapy. In cancer patients, even before the treatment, endothelial dysfunction was detected, which significantly worsened after treatment (occlusion index (IO) before and after chemotherapy 1.7 (1.38; 1.9) vs. 1.3 (1.2; 1.5), p<0.0002, respectively). Significant differences in the compared indices in cancer patients and CVD group were revealed only after chemotherapy. Significant structural and functional disorders of capillaries were noted in the studied groups, which also worsened during chemotherapy in the main group (density of the capillary network at rest 43.23cap/mm2 vs. 42.19cap/mm2, p <0.01, respectively; density of the capillary network after the reactive hyperemia test 46.77cap/mm2 vs. 44.11cap/mm2, p<0,02, respectively).Conclusion. In this study, for the first time, the dynamics of endothelial dysfunction indicators, vascular wall stiffness and microcirculation state in patients with gastric cancer were studied, and a reliable increasing of these changes was proved during chemotherapy. The results indicate the need for a further search for accurate and effective methods of identifying early signs of close and distant vasculotoxicity, the development of individual prevention programs in order to significantly reduce the risk of cardiovascular events during and after chemotherapy.

Vascular diseases are major causes of death worldwide, causing pathologies including diabetes, atherosclerosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Exposure of the vascular system to a variety of stressors and inducers has been implicated in the development of various human diseases, including chronic inflammatory diseases. In the vascular wall, antioxidant enzymes form the first line of defense against oxidative stress. Recently, extensive research into the beneficial effects of phytochemicals has been conducted; phytochemicals are found in commonly used spices, fruits, and herbs, and are used to prevent various pathologic conditions, including vascular diseases. The present review aims to highlight the effects of dietary phytochemicals role on antioxidant enzymes in vascular diseases.

In this review, we focus on the actual understanding of the role of IL-33 in vascular biology in the context of the historical development since the description of IL-33 as a member of IL-1 superfamily and the ligand for ST2 receptor in 2005. We summarize recent data on the biology, structure and signaling of this dual-function factor with both nuclear and extracellular cytokine properties. We describe cellular sources of IL-33, particularly within vascular wall, changes in its expression in different cardio-vascular conditions and mechanisms of IL-33 release. Additionally, we summarize the regulators of IL-33 expression as well as the effects of IL-33 itself in cells of the vasculature and in monocytes/macrophages in vitro combined with the consequences of IL-33 modulation in models of vascular diseases in vivo. Described in murine atherosclerosis models as well as in macrophages as an atheroprotective cytokine, extracellular IL-33 induces proinflammatory, prothrombotic and proangiogenic activation of human endothelial cells, which are processes known to be involved in the development and progression of atherosclerosis. We, therefore, discuss that IL-33 can possess both protective and harmful effects in experimental models of vascular pathologies depending on experimental conditions, type and dose of administration or method of modulation.

The leading increasing of cardiovascular pathology in miner workers dictates necessity of development of effective methods of prevention. The article presents the results of application of intravenous blood laser irradiation in miner workers with cardiovascular pathology. The evaluation of condition of cardio-vascular system was carried out to detect mine workers with high cardio-vascular risk. To this group of mine workers course of preventive procedures was prescribed. The course included common medicinal treatment and intravenous laser therapy. The application of intravenous blood laser irradiation promoted normalization of indicators of Holter monitoring of electrocardiogram, day monitoring of arterial pressure, lipid profile and hemostasis system. The anti-arrhythmic, anti-hypertensive, anti-atherogenic and anti-aggregative effects of complex therapy using intravenous blood laser irradiation in mine workers with high cardiovascular risk with its subsequent decrease as a result of treatment.

Introduction: Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) are chronic diseases with a number of complications that, among others, may include alterations in the cardio-vascular system. Methods: The aim of this study was to evaluate the risk of Cardiovascular Diseases (CVD) in patients with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis between the ages of 30-50. The research covered 95 outpatients and inpatients: 51 with plaque psoriasis (23 women and 28 men) and 44 with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis (16 women and 28 men). The risk of cardio-vascular incident was evaluated with the use of the Framingham algorithm covering the age, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, blood pressure, the habit of smoking and diabetes. The 10-year risk of the occurrence of a cardio-vascular incident was higher in patients with psoriatic arthritis than in patients with plaque psoriasis (9,9% vs6,2%). A high risk of cardio-vascular events was observed in 35% men with psoriatic arthritis in comparison to 11% men with only psoriasis. In patients with plaque psoriasis, the increase in the risk of cardio-vascular incident was connected with the late beginning of psoriasis; whereas in the group of patients with psoriatic arthritis, the risk of cardio-vascular incident was connected with the intensification of psoriatic lesions. Conclusion: The patients with psoriasis, especially men with psoriatic arthritis, certainly require special medical care in terms of cardio-vascular diseases prevention.

ABSTRACT Intracranial vessel wall imaging plays an increasing role in diagnosing intracranial vascular diseases. With the growing demand and subsequent increased use of this technique in clinical practice, radiologists and neurologists should be aware of the choices in imaging parameters and how they affect image quality, clinical indications, methods of assessment, and limitations in the interpretation of these images. Due to the improvement of the MRI techniques, the possibility of accurate and direct evaluation of the abnormalities in the arterial vascular wall (vessel wall imaging) has evolved, adding substantial data to diagnosis when compared to the indirect evaluation based on conventional flow analyses. Herein, the authors proposed a comprehensive approach of this technique reinforcing appropriated clinical settings to better use intracranial vessel wall imaging.
