This research aims at identifying types of implicature and analyzing types  speech acts  and the strategies employed by the speakers and hearers during the visit at the Museum Asian African Conference.  The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive analysis, where the data is collected, then sorted and categorized and finally analyzed based on the theory. The results show that 1) two types of implicatures are found; conversational implicature (91%) and conventional implicature (9%), 2) Four types of illocutionary acts encountered in the conversation; assertive (90%), directive (6%) commissive (93%) and expressive (1%) and 3) Both strategies are used in delivering illocutionary acts; direct strategies (94%) is more dominant than the indirect one (6%).

The research objective was to find out the interference of first language occurs to English Speaking Performance at English department Students in University of Muhammadiyah Sorong and to find out what kinds of first language interference occurs to English Speaking Performance at English department Students in University of Muhammadiyah Sorong. The research design applied qualitative descriptive analysis which used to analyze the data taken from the real speaking of respondents that recorded on the progress of data collection. Numbers of respondent are asked to give their opinion or responses on selected theme provided on this research to elicit their real speaking performance which is recorded and analyzed. The result of this research revealed that there were first language interference occurred at English department students in university of Muhammadiyah Sorong and several kinds of first language interference were occurred on Word Pronunciation (54%), Dialect (38%), and Word Repetition (8%) which based on 15 respondent and total populations from three semesters of English Department in University of Muhammadiyah Sorong.

Salah satu jenis sastra lisan yang hingga kini masih membudaya di Bengkulu Selatan adalah bedindang. Bedindang sebagai sastra lisan mengandung tuturan yang memiliki makna ilokusi beragam karena banyak mengandung perumpamaan dan makna yang tersirat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud implikatur dan fungsi implikatur dalam bedindang. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua pendekatan, yaitu pendekatan pragmatik dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada dua wujud implikatur dalam sastra lisan bedindang, yaitu (1) implikatur konvensional dan (2) implikatur percakapan yang terbagi menjadi tiga, yaitu (a) implikatur percakapan umum, (b) implikatur percakapan berskala, dan (c) implikatur percakapan khusus. Wujud-wujud implikatur yang ditemukan dalam analisis memiliki fungsi tertentu yang ingin disampaikan penutur. Ada tiga jenis fungsi, yaitu (1) fungsi direktif, (2) fungsi ekspresif, dan (3) fungsi asertif. One type of oral literature that is still cultivated in South Bengkulu is bedindang. Bedindang, as an oral literature, contains utterances that have various illocutionary meanings as it contains many parables and implied meanings. This study aims to describe the implicature form and implicature function in bedindang. There are two approaches used, namely the pragmatic approach and the qualitative descriptive approach. The results revealed two forms of implicature in bedindang oral literature: (1) conventional implicature and (2) conversational implicature. Conversational implicature is divided into three, namely (a) general conversation, (b) scaled conversation, and (c) conversation implicature with special context. Additionally, the implied forms found in the analysis have three specific functions which the speaker wishes to convey: (1) directive, (2) expressive, and (3) assertive.

The purpose of this study to analyze type of illocutionary speech acts that used by Hanan Attaki and identifying speech acts utterance by Hanan Attaki on Youtube. The method used in this study is the qualitative descriptive method because this is done only based on the fact and the writer describes the result in from words and the explanation of the result. Data collection method that used is scrutinized method and make a script, is scrutinize use of language by Ustadz Hanan Attaki, then the data is note and classified based on type of illocutionary. In this result the writer analyze all type of illucationary speech act used by Ustadz Hanan Attaki on Video Ust. Hanan Attaki Youtube Channel. The result of this study found 65 clauses that contain the type of illocutionary speech acts, there are representatives (37), directives (22), declarative (5) and commissive (1) each type of the speech acts are delivering different meaning and representative is the most widely used by Ustadz Hanan Attaki. The title of this research is ??Implicate in The Dialogue of 500 Days of Summer Movie by Marc Webb: Pragmatics Study??. The topic studied in this research is about implicature that is as a tool of meaning submission implicitly in an utterance. This research aims to identify and analyze types of implicature and levels of intended meaning that appear in the dialog of 500 Days of Summer movie. The method of this research is descriptive analysis method. The descriptive analysis method is a method that explains or describes an object research through analyzed data. The source of data used is taken from the dialog of 500 Days of Summer movie, derived from the website. The results of this research show that there are four types of implicature appear in the dialog of 500 Days of Summer and there are 30 data have been analyzed as implicatures. There are data as generalized conversational implicature, 2 data as scalar implicature, 19 data as particularized conversational implicature, and 8 data as conventional implicature. Besides that, the results show that the implicatures contain intended meanings that have been classified according    to the levels of intended meaning. There are 6 data as speaker??s literal meaning, 2 data as speaker??s occasion meaning, 13 data as the hint level, 6 data as the manipulation level, 2 data as the secret deception level, and one utterance as the subconscious or self-deception level. Therefore, it can be concluded that particularized conversational implicature is a dominant implicature and the hint level as a dominant level of intended meaning that appear in the dialog of 500 Days of Summer movie.

<p dir="ltr">This research analyzes direct and indirect illocutionary speech acts on Donald Trump’s 2016 victory speech. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This research focuses on utterances to analyze the types of illocutionary acts and how they are delivered in speech, directly or indirectly. The results of this study are: (1) there are five types of illocutionary speech acts found in the speech, namely commissive 24%, directive 9.3%, representative 17.3%, expressive 24.6%, and expressive 24.6% and declaration 22.7%. The research findings show that the dominant illocutionary act is an expressive action that is 24.6%. (2) Donald Trump delivers the speech that is mainly conveyed directly</p>

This research discussed about the analysis of speech act used in the Grown Ups movie. This research revealed the types of speech act that found in the Grown Ups during the movie. The researcher applied the qualitative descriptive method because it was dealt with the description analysis by using words. Observation method used to collect the data. The researcher chose this movie because it was popular in the 20’s century and there were many speech acts reflected in this movie. As the result, it was found that were 30 utterances of speech acts in Grown Ups movie. From the 30 data that researcher collected, the main characters most expressed the types of speech act. They are 6 locutionary acts, 15 illocutionary acts, and 9 perlocutionary. Based all the data above, it can be concluded the most used speech act found in this data was illocutionary act. The next was perlocutionary act. Then the last was locutionary act.

AbstrakHubungan interpersonal adalah hubungan yang terdiri atas dua orang atau lebih yang memiliki ketergantungan satu sama lain dan menggunakan pola interaksi yang konsisten. Ucapan yang disampaikan ketika terjadi konflik sangat mungkin memiliki makna yang berbeda dengan apa yang disampaikan. Perbedaan makna dan maksud tuturan yang disampaikan inilah yang disebut implikatur percakapan. Film Dilan 1991 merupakan salah satu film yang diminati penoton khususnya kalangan remaja. Film Dilan 1991 menunjukkan konflik interpersonal antartokohnya yang menyebabkan munculnya implikatur percakapan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bentuk implikatur percakapan dalam hubungan konflik interpersonal remaja dalam film Dilan 1991. Pendekatan penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan pragmatik dan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa penggalan tuturan dalam konflik interpersonal remaja yang diduga terdapat implikatur dalam tuturannya. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu keseluruhan tuturan di dalam film Dilan 1991 yang menunjukkan dialog yang dilakukan tokoh remaja. Dari 129 data tuturan, secara umum terdapat 42 tuturan yang mengandung implikatur percakapan. Hasil seleksi data yang dilakukan menghasilkan 14 data yang mengandung implikatur percakapan dalam konflik interpersonal remaja dan selanjutnya dideskripsikan dalam penelitian ini.AbstractInterpersonal relationships are relationships that consist of two or more people who have dependencies with one another and use a consistent pattern of interaction. The utterance that is conveyed when a conflict occurs is very possible to experience a different meaning from what is conveyed. The difference in meaning and purpose of the speech delivered is what been kown as the conversational implicature. Dilan 1991 is one of the films that interested  to the audience, especially among teenagers. The film Dilan 1991 shows interpersonal conflicts between characters that lead to the emergence of conversational implicature. This study aims to explain the implicative form of conversation in adolescent interpersonal conflict relationships in the  film Dilan 1991. The research approach was carried out with a pragmatic approach and qualitative descriptive analysis. This research data in the form of fragments of speech in adolescent interpersonal conflicts that allegedly contained implications in the speech. The data source in this study is the whole utterance in the film Dilan 1991 which shows the dialogue carried out by teenage characters. From 129 speech data, in general there are 42 speech that contain conversational implicature. The results of the data selection were conducted to produce 14 data that contain conversational implicature in adolescent interpersonal conflicts and are further described in this study.

The purpose of this study was to describe the category of illocutionary and reaction to illocutionary interlocutors expressed by the speakers used in the Dead Poets Society movie. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The object of the research is the Dead Poets Society movie script. Based on data analysis, the researcher found 72 utterances illocutionary acts, the dominant ones are Verdictives, namely Estimating and Behabitives, namely Complimenting, while the reaction of the interlocutor to illocutionary acts is dominated by Behabitives illocutionary acts, namely Applauding, and Expositives illocutionary acts, namely Denying. The researcher assumes the tendency of using inspired speech acts by the genre of movie, namely tragedy and drama because this movie features several characters show interest in poetry, and have conflicts between students, parents, and teachers when taught by Mr. Keating is considered to have deviated in principle from  Welton Academy. The results of this study can be used as a reference in studying speech acts in pragmatics because, in this study, the researcher classified the types of illocutionary acts more easily based on Austin's theory.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis praanggapan yang terdapat dalam tindak tutur tayangan Bocah Ngapa(k) Ya di TRANS 7. Bocah Ngapa(k) Ya merupakan tayangan televisi bergenre komedi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik catat. Analisis data dilakukan dengan membahas tindak tutur dalam tayangan Bocah Ngapa(k) Ya kemudian menganalisis pranggapan yang terdapat dalam tindak tutur tayangan tersebut. Sampel data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak empat episode. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan Tindak Tutur Ekspresif yang mengandung Praanggapan Leksikal, Tindak Tutur Representatif yang mengandung Praanggapan Konterfaktual, Tindak Tutur Direktif yang mengandung Praanggapan Nonfaktual, Tindak Tutur Representatif yang mengandung Praanggapan Leksikal dan Eksistensial, Tindak Tutur Representatif yang mengandung Praanggapan Faktual, dan Tindak Tutur Representatif yang mengandung Praanggapan Leksikal.Kata kunci: tindak tutur, praanggapan, tayangan televisi.  AbstractThis study aims to describe the types of presuppositions contained in the speech act of Bocah Ngapa(k) Ya in TRANS 7. Bocah Ngapa(k) Ya is a comedy genre television show. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive analysis. Collecting data in this study using a note-taking technique. Data analysis was carried out by discussing the speech acts in the show Bocah Ngapa(k) Yes and then analyzing the presuppositions contained in the speech acts of the show. The sample data used in this study were four episodes. Based on the research results, it was found that expressive speech acts contain lexical presuppositions, representative speech acts contain counterfactual presuppositions, directive speech acts contain non-factual presuppositions, representative speech acts contain lexical and existential presuppositions, representative speech acts contain factual presuppositions, and representative speech acts contain factual presuppositions. Language plays an important role in human life as a medium of communication. The communication between sender and receiver is the activity of conveying ideas, messages, attitude, and mood of both speakers and hearers. This paper attempts to analyze cooperative principle (CP) and politeness principle (PP) in guest complaining at x hotel in Kuta-Bali through a series of conversation at the front desk. The data were gathered from guest’s conversation record book from one of the hotels in Kuta-Bali. The conversations have been transcribed into a written text. The intended data were identified, classified, and then separately analyzed based on cooperative and politeness principle. A qualitative descriptive analysis was employed to analyze CP and PP in the guest complaining as in line with the theories which are proposed by Grice and Leech. The results of analysis show that the receptionist carefully observed both CP and PP, but the guest’s responses might not necessarily comply with those principles for some reasons.  Keywords: Cooperative principle, maxim, speech acts, politeness principle, pragmatics.
