It is experimentally found that LEDs illumination does not cause a negative influence on visual organs and human body as a whole. It is shown that changes of visual organ functional indices for visual operations are within the correspondent boundaries of physiological fluctuations and have a reversible nature. Integral indices of LEDs illumination efficiency from visual working capacity and visual fatigue degree are estimated. A practical importance of the obtained results is shown.

The authors describe the evolution from 1980 to the present of the tables that describe invalidating states, on which the medical-legal judgments of civil disability in Italy are based. The first part of the work briefly describes the main disabilities, grouped by both body system and percentage value range, that can be found in the tables attached to the main documents applied, or applicable, to the sector: those issued alongside the Ministerial Decree n. 282 of 1980, those that accompanied the Ministerial Decree of February 1982 (still in force today) and those proposed by the Italian Institute of Social Security (INPS) in 2012, which have not yet entered into force. The second part of the paper has two aims. On the one hand, it seeks to underline the change in the pre-eminent type of disability featured in the tables: from osteoarticular diseases, which were the most significant type in the 1980 tables, to neoplastic diseases, which are the most prevalent overall in the 2012 tables. On the other hand, the authors highlight that the tables themselves have evolved, moving towards a more precise definition (both clinical and instrumental) of the organ damage causing the reduction in general working capacity. In the 1980 tables, disability was often evaluated empirically rather than based on the use of functional indices or systematic classification. In the 2012 INPS proposed tables, evaluations of the reduction in working capacity are often based on specific functional parameters for the various organs (EF for the heart, FEV1 for the respiratory system, GFR for the urinary system) or on standardized disability evaluation scales (NYHA classes for heart diseases, EDSS or the Hoehn & Yahr classification for neurological disorders, MMSE or CDR for dementia, the Child-Pugh classification for cirrhogenic hepatopathies).

Recent decades jewelry manufacturers put into practice using of non-precious alloys in order to decrease the production costs. Nevertheless, the large number of customers has allergic (sensitizing) body reaction on jewelries. Applying of non-sensitizing coating is able to decrease negative influence of jewelry material on human body. One of the biologically inert materials toward to human body tissues is zirconium. In the present work we examined the zirconium-based coatings applied by magnetron sputtering. Eleven coating regimes of AISI 430 steel substrates by zirconium oxynitride were investigated. Coatings corrosion test in Hank’s solution, microhardness measurements, color performance in CIE 1976 L*a*b* and RGB color spaces were carried out. The coating width was 0.4–1.2 μm. It was established that coatings have microhardness 2.5–3.0 GPa and can simulate jewelries colors. Using energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, it was evaluated that coatings consist of Zr, N and O. We select the sputtering regimes which provides metallic type coatings with the high optical reflectivity in the energy range near the infrared part of spectrum (<1.7 eV) and has golden color with a high lightness. It was experimentally proved that coatings are not corroding in Hank’s solution. The allergy patch test of jewelry with zirconium oxynitride coating demonstrate a good result on respondents with sensitizing reaction to non-precious alloys jewelry. The obtained results allow us to recommend the application of a zirconium-based coating magnetron sputtering in manufacturing of the non-precious alloys jewelry.

The increase in the yield capacity of cereal spike crops under the current change of the climatic conditions in Ukraine will have a positive tendency in the nearest future. However, sustainable grain production under sharp weather fluctuations is possible only with the agro-technological systems' improvement. The pre-sowing seed treatment with chemical synthesis pesticides remains the primary method in the agricultural industry today. However, pesticides inevitably have a negative influence on the ecosystem of any level. A more environmentally friendly seed treatment method under the intensive technology is the combination of microwave seed irradiation and seed incrustation with the plant growth regulators that increase the cereal crops' yield capacity up to 15–20 %. It is possible to reduce the negative influence of chemical measures on the quality of the cereal crops seeds by using for the seed treatment a mixture of a treatment agent with the preparations having the stimulating properties. The most promising among all physical methods of the pre-sowing seed treatment is the microwave technology, which suppresses the entire complex of the seed infection and can become an alternative to the chemical method of plant protection. The universal character and practical importance of MW technologies combined with the growth-regulating substances consist not only in the increase in the yield capacity of the field crops but also in reducing the technogenic load on the environment. The peculiarity of EMF of EHF application in agricultural production is the necessity to consider the crops' specific electro-physical, technological, and biological properties. High heterogeneity greatly influences the electromagnetic action energy and the final result.

The aim of the study is to describe pathogenetic features of phenotypes of asthma at a resort stage of medical rehabilitation. 300 patients with asthma who arrived on the Southern coast of the Crimea (Yalta) for medical rehabilitation were examined. As a result of the study 7 phenotypes of asthma at a resort stage of medical rehabilitation were distinguished. Asthma phenotypes created by the cluster analysis are pathological conditions of patients which were caused by different pathogenetic mechanisms. Each phenotype of asthma is characterized only by its peculiar pathogenetic features in the form of the manifestation of a different degree and relation of clinical changes and functional indices of airway obstruction, an allergic (eosinophilic) inflammation, a condition of physical working capacity and the quality of life taking into account the gender of patients, their body weight, an age of a disease debut and features of application of medications. The established pathogenetic mechanisms of each asthma phenotypes can be considered when individual programs of medical rehabilitation at the resort are formed

In cultivated landscapes, the negative influence of herbivorous species of bugs on agricultural plants is especially affected. They are distinguished by a wide variety in species composition and in the number of individual species. Some of them can multiply in large numbers. Research is of theoretical and practical importance, since many species are pests of agricultural crops, some species carry viral plant diseases. The nature of the harm caused by various types of herbivorous bugs was studied, since bugs, when feeding on their piercing-sucking mouth apparatus, pierce plants and feed on plant sap. It has been established that the damage caused to plants by bedbugs affects the abscission of fruit elements and the timing of the developmental phases from egg to imago depends on temperature and humidity.

PurposeValue co-creation is known to increase innovation, but it can backfire under certain conditions. The purpose of this study is to investigate co-creation activities for their effects on consumer perceptions of symbolic designs and to investigate the mediation effect of psychological distance and the moderation effect of peer feedback.Design/methodology/approachThree studies were designed by using a survey (Study 1) and two controlled laboratory experiments (Study 2 and 3). Study 1 had a sample size of 160 respondents and examined whether innovative ideas and behavior intensity had different impact on symbolic design. Study 2 had a sample size of 204 respondents and verified the interaction effect between innovativeness and intensity and to show that psychological distance is the underlying internal mechanism. Study 3 examined peer feedback as a critical moderator by using a sample of 235 participants.FindingsResults show that idea innovativeness positively influences perceptions of symbolic design, while behavior intensity has a negative influence. The studies verify that innovativeness interacts with intensity to affect perceptions of symbolic design. Psychological distance explains why it is difficult to co-create luxury goods. Peer feedback is revealed to be a new moderator.Originality/valueThis research uniquely develops an extensive theory-based conceptual model and highlights two dimensions of value co-creation that interact with product design. The article emphasizes the theoretical and practical importance of studying both direct and indirect moderating effects.

The purpose of the article is to introduce modern cleaning technologies in hotels by reducing the harmful effects of chemicals on human health and the environment. Method. The research is based on scientific methods of analysis and comparison of information. Results. The negative impact of modern detergents used by hotel companies on the human body and the environment has been determined. The most aggressive components of chemistry and their harmful effects when used on humans are listed. The comparison of the most popular professional cleaners with the green type of cleaning products and their neutral effect on the environment and efficiency during use. Scientific novelty. One of the innovative areas in the field of professional cleaning in hotel enterprises is green cleaning, which uses solutions and technologies aimed at minimizing the harmful effects on the human body and the environment. This includes the use of cleaners based on natural components, the reduction of water consumption and the amount of chemicals used through the use of pre-treatment methods, the use of innovative materials and equipment, improving the energy efficiency of apparatus and machines and more. The principle of work of environmental cleaners is shown, which is based not on removal of contaminants by their dissolution (alkaline purifiers) or chemical reaction (acid purifiers), but on the removal of dirt from the surface by means of water base and organic compounds. Practical importance. The European experience in the use of environmentally friendly solutions proves that the use of green-series means can optimize the cost of maintaining facilities. Thanks to the "green" type of cleaning, protective films and coatings are formed on surfaces that are washable and cleanable. This allows them to extend their service life, which is very important in our economic environment. Eco-friendly goods or products are valued much higher and hotel services are no exception. Positioning the hotel as an eco-hotel gives the owner a number of competitive advantages, for example, the ability to use the new status for advertising purposes, create a favorable microclimate for guests and increase the rate of loading of the room.

The article is devoted to the issues of classification of persons sentenced to imprisonment. Attention is drawn to the fact that the achievement of criminal responsibility goals largely depends on a clear division of convicts, depending on the criteria established by law, into homogeneous groups with subsequent differentiation and individualization of correctional and educational impact. As a result of the research, the author came to the following conclusions. In order to efficiently and effectively organize the process of correctional influence on convicts, it is rational to divide them into such categories, in relation to which the main means of correction provided for by law (established procedure for execution and serving of sentences, socially useful work, educational work, education of convicted persons, and social impact) could be applied in different volumes and with different degrees of intensity in order to ensure the achievement of the goals of punishment. Thus, differentiated application of correctional measures to convicts is possible only if they are correctly divided into homogeneous groups. Classification of persons sentenced to deprivation of liberty is of great practical importance for organizing the process of their correction and achieving criminal responsibility goals. It provides isolation from each other of various categories of convicts, thereby preventing the possibility of negative influence of more dangerous criminals on less dangerous criminals, and suggests the possibility of strengthening security and supervision, as well as the correctional and educational impact of punishment against dangerous criminals, while reducing the legal restrictions for convicts who do not pose a great public danger.

Today, the issue of creating conditions for homeland security is relevant, under which any socio-economic system can be comfortable and is not threatened by the negative influence of any external and internal factors. The main purpose of the study is to form a methodological approach to the formation of an appropriate defense ecosystem in the context of ensuring homeland security. To achieve this goal, we applied analysis and synthesis methods to study the current state of the homeland security level and the methodology for the formation of the IDEF0 functional model to represent the proposed defense ecosystem. The methodological approach can have the practical importance for state structures dealing with the issue of ensuring homeland security. The result of the study was the formation of a decomposition of the first, second and third levels of the functional model of the defense ecosystem in the context of ensuring homeland security. The article has limitations which are associated with the choice of the security system of Ukraine, since in the context of a pandemic, it was difficult to gain access to information from other countries. In the future, the proposed methodological approach is planned to be applied to the homeland security systems of other countries.
