The objective of the research is to improve speaking skill of English House Course students through English camp strategy. This was an pre-experimental research  using one group on pre-test and post-test design, the population of this research was the students of English House Course which has 80 students. Because the total number of the population was big enough, the researcher took 20 samples and applied random sampling technique; it means that one class of the population were taken as samples and the data was analyzed into percentage, mean score analyzes and the value of the t-test. The result of the data analyzes shows that the students’ achievement on the pre-test was 71,7 and post-test was 86,1. This shows that English camp is a good strategy in English learning process at the students of English House Course Maroangin. After analyzing the data by using the t-test formula, the result of the t-test value (11,86) was greater  than t-table value (2,093). This indicated that the hypothesis of research is accepted. There is a significant Influence of English camp program towards the students’ achievement in English learning process. The researcher does English camp in English House Course Maroangin Kabupaten Enrekang for five days and it gives positive effect of students’ skill in speaking. All item of learning achievement able to improve the students’ speaking skill.

This research aims to see the students’ speaking skill before and after learning process by using expression card media at the second grade of SMA Negeri 1 Parepare. The results of the research are useful for the teacher and students. The teacher should aware that it is important to supplied the technique or strategy before teaching and the students also can be easier to express their ideas, make the students more active in learning process. The subject of this research is XI IIS4 class which is consisted of 30 students. The sample was taken by using simple random sampling. The design in this research was pre-experimental with pre-test and post-test design. The student did the pre-test, got the treatment and did the post-test. Then the criteria of speaking skills are fluency, accuracy, content, pronunciation and they were usedto measure the students’ speaking skill. It aimed to know whether using expression card media can improve the students’ speaking skill. The result in this research was indicated that there was improvement of the students’ speaking skill. It was indicated by the students’ mean score of post-test (73.3) was greater than pre-test (41.9). Even, for the level significant (p) 5% and (df) = N-1=30-1=29, and the value of table is 1.699, while the value of t-test is 16.18. it means that, the t-test value is greater than t-table (16.18 ≥ 1.699). Thus, it can be concluded that the students’ speaking skill is significant better after getting the treatment. So, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is fail rejected.

The objectives of the research were to find out whether or not the use of KangGuru English Learning Packages can improve the listening achievement of the students of SMA Negeri 1 Sungguminasa in learning to listen. The research Pre-experimental method with one group pre-test and post-test design. The procedure of collecting data involved administering pre-test before treatment and then post-test. The population of this research was the eleventh year students of SMA Negeri 1 Sungguminasa, academic year 2015/2016 which consisted of 360 students. The sample was taken by random sampling technique, where the researcher took 4 students in every class and the total of the sample was 36 students. The result of the mean score of the students’ listening achievement before being taught through KangGuru English Learning Packages was 62,33 and it was classified as “fair”. Whereas, after doing the treatment, the mean score was 90,69 and it was classified was “very good”. To find out the significance of the difference between pre-test and post-test, the researcher applied t-test. The value of t-test was 11.57 which was greater than the value of t-table 1.689 at the level of significance 0.05 and the degree of freedom was 35. It was revealed that KangGuru English Learning Packages significantly improved the listening achievement of the students.Keywords: Listening, Achievement, KangGuru English Learning Packages.

This research is aimed to find out whether Talking Chips has positive effect or not toward students’ self-assurance in speaking of the second grade students at SMAN 4 Mataram. The research was experimental research and the design used was Pre Experimental with one group without control group and used one group pre-test post-test design only. The population of the study was the second grade students of SMAN 4 Mataram which consisted of one class (19 students). One class was chosen by using accidental sampling technique and the result was XI IPS 1. In collecting the data pre-test and post-test were done. And then, the data analyzed by using SPSS. The result of data analysis showed that t-test was 3.457 and t-table was 2.109, it means that t-test was higher than t-table as the level of significance level 0,05. It can be concluded that teaching self-assurance in speaking skill at SMAN 4 Mataram using talking chips produce much greater change in the students’ self-assurance in speaking. On the other words, talking chips technique is effective in teaching self-assurance in speaking at SMAN 4 Mataram.

ABSTRAKMasih tingginya penderita hipertensi merupakan salah satu masalah yang berpengaruh terhadap gaya hidup dan sikap yang mendorong timbulnya hipertensi. Untuk menangani tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi umumnya minum obat-obatan dari puskesmas, rutinitas ini sering tidak disukai oleh penderita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas air rebusan daun seledri terhadap perubahan tekanan darah pada lansia di Posyandu Ngudi Konco Desa Donomulyo Kecamatan Donomulyo Kabupaten Malang.Desain penelitian ini Pre-Experimental dengan rancangan One- Group Pre-Post test design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua lansia penderita hipertensi di Posyandu Ngudi Konco Desa Donomulyo Kecamatan Donomulyo Kabupaten Malang sebanyak 30 responden. Sampel diambil dengan teknik total sampling. Variabel penelitian yaitu pemberian air rebusan daun seledri sebagai variabel independent dan tekanan darah sebagai variabel dependen. Data yang di dapat melalui lembar observasi tekanan darah kemudian di uji dengan menggunakan uji paired t Test.Hasil uji paired t Test menunjukkan bahwa p = 0,000 α= 0,05 Ho di tolak dan H1 diterima sehingga air rebusan daun seledri efektif terhadap perubahan tekanan darah pada lansia di Posyandu Ngudi Konco Desa Donomulyo Kecamatan Donomulyo Kabupaten Malang.Terdapat penurunan jumlah penderita hipertensi sebelum dan sesudah diberikan air rebusan daun seledri. Responden agar dapat meningkatkan informasi tentang pelaksanaan tekanan darah sehingga dapat mengurangi tekanan darah yang dialami dengan cara non formakologi sehingga responden tidak hanya menggantungkan pada obat-obatan farmakologi dalam menurunkan tekanan darah.Kata kunci : Air Rebusan Daun Seledri, Tekanan Darah, Lansia ABSTRACTStill high hypertension was  one of the problems that affect the lifestyle and attitudes that encourage the emergence of hypertension. To handle blood pressure in people with hypertension generally take  medication from puskesmas, this routine was often disliked by the patient. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of boiling water celery leaves on changes in blood pressure in the elderly at Posyandu Ngudi Konco Donomulyo Village Donomulyo District Malang Regency.The design of this research was  Pre-Experimental with the design of One- Group Pre-Post test design. Population in this research was all elderly patient of hypertension in Posyandu Ngudi Konco Village Donomulyo District Donomulyo Malang Regency as many as 30 respondents. Samples were taken with total sampling technique. The research variable was giving boiled water of celery leaves as independent variable and blood pressure as dependent variable. The data can be through blood pressure observation sheet then tested by using paired t test.The result of paired t - test showed that p = 0.000 α = 0.05 Ho in rejection and H1 accepted so that boiling water celery leaf effective against blood pressure changes in elderly at Posyandu Ngudi Konco Donomulyo Village Donomulyo District Malang Regency. There was a decrease in the number of hypertensive patients before and after being given boiled water of celery leaves. Respondents in order to improve information about the implementation of blood pressure so as to reduce blood pressure experienced by non-formakologi way so that respondents not only rely on pharmacological drugs in lowering blood pressure. Key Words: Water Stew of Celery leaves, Blood Pressure, Elderly

              This research generally aims to get brief description of teachers’ understanding aboutnstudents and its implication in learning process. Specifically, the purpose of this research are to get description about: 1) teachers understanding about students and its defferences among variables, 2) the implementation of high touch unsure in learning process according  to teachers’ and students and defferences among them, 3) the contribution of teachers, understanding about student toward high touch applied in learning process and, the different response between teachers and students about high touch  implementation. This research is conducted by descriptive quantitative method.  The population is all teachers and students at senior high school in Padang. Samples are taken by using stratified cluster random sampling technique. The percentage, correlation and t test. The results of this research reveal that: 1) everall, teachers understanding is in middle category, so is with the implementation toward learning process, 2) five observable variables about the nature of man are valid and can be used to explain teachers’ understanding about the nature of man as laten variable, and six observable variables  about high touch  implementation as implication of teachers’ understanding about student in learning process.  Therefore, teachers understanding about student  has positive and significant correlation with implementation  of teachers’ understanding about nature of man toward learning process trough high touch  implementation, and 3) teachers’ opinion about high touch implementation as implication of teachers’ understanding toward learning process differ significantly with students’ opinion. In general, teachers’ opinion score is higher compared with student’s opinion score

This research was conducted to find out whether there was a significant effect of the Mnemonic method in teaching vocabulary mastery at the Seventh-grade students’ of SMPN 22 Buton Tengah. The design of the research was a pre-experimental design ( one group pre-test post-test design). The population of this research was the seventh-grade (VII) of SMPN 22 Buton Tengah which consists of three classes, while the sample in this research was class VII3 that consisted of 25 students and used a simple random sampling technique. The instrument in this study was multiple choices, matching tests and public buildings, food, people around us to the topic. This study was conducted three sections namely pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The researcher used a paired sample T-test through SPSS 16.0 version to analyze the result of this research. The result showed that the mean score of students’ vocabulary mastery in the post-test was higher than students’ vocabulary in the pre-test ( 53.6 > 45.28 ). The hypothesis testing found that the value of sig ( 2 Tailed ) was 0.00 while the significant alpha value was 0.05. It can be concluded that the value of Sig ( 2 Tailed) was lower than the significance of α value (0.000< 0.05). in other words, (H1) was accepted. It showed that there was a significant effect of using the Mnemonic Method on teaching vocabulary mastery at the seventh-grade students of SMPN 22 Buton Tengah.

The objective of the study was to find out whether or not the silent way method can significantly affect students’ speaking competence. The design of this study was a pre-experimental research design (one group pre-test post-test design). The researcher applied a simple random sampling technique. The class 10 IPA1 was taken as the sample of the study with 18 students. The instrument of this study was an oral test in pre-test and post-test. This research was conducted through the following procedures: giving a pre-test, applying treatments and giving a post-test. The data were analyzed by using paired sample t-test. Through the SPSS16.0 version. The result showed that the mean score on students’ speaking competence in a pre-test was 32.22 and in the post-test was 49.44. Hypothesis testing found that the value of sig (2 tailed) was 0.00 while the significant alpha value was 0.0. It could be concluded that the value of sig (2 tailed) was lower than the significant alpha value was (0.00<0.05). Therefore, H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. So, the use of the silent way method had a significant on the students’ speaking competence at the tenth grade of SMAN 1 Kontu kowuna.

Kemampuan dalam menginterpretasikan blood gases analysis (BGA) sangat diperlukan bagi mahasiswa keperawatan. Namun, menginterpretasikan BGA sering menjadi beban bagi mahasiswa oleh karena sulit dipelajari. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui efektivitas media grafis terhadap kemampuan menginterpretasikan BGA pada mahasiswa Profesi Ners di Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Tribhuwana Tunggadewi Malang. Desain penelitian menggunakan one group pre-post test design dengan populasi mahasiswa Program Studi Penddidikan Profesi Ners. Besar sampel sebanyak 38 responden diambil melalui simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes tulis. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji paired t test dengan ?=0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum diajarkan teknik interpretasi BGA menggunakan grafis kemampuan responden berada pada rerata 3,74 (SD= 1,89) dan setelah diajarkan teknik interpretasi BGA menggunakan grafis kemampuan responden meningkat dengan rerata 7,63 (SD= 2,09), serta hasil uji statistik didapatkan p=0,000 yang berarti bahwa media grafis sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menginterpretasikan BGA. Dengan demikian, media grafis dapat menjadi pilihan yang sangat tepat untuk menyampaikan materi yang sulit dipahami namun bisa disederhanakan dalam bentuk gambar atau bagan.

This study aims to determine the differences in student achievement who are taught using interactive multimedia drills model with students who are taught using science comic media. This type of research is experimental research. The population in this study is all students of class VII MTs. The State of Selong Model and the sampling was determined by using cluster random sampling technique to select the class and simple random sampling to select the students in that class. The second sampling technique is random sampling by drawing lots, cluster random sampling, namely the class is divided into experimental class I, namely the class that is taught using interactive multimedia drills model (class VII-E) and the experimental class II, namely the class that is taught using comic media. science (class VII-F), each of which consists of 36 students. And simple random sampling, where students are drawn after data collection to reduce the sample to 30 students to facilitate hypothesis testing. The data collection technique used post-test while the data analysis technique to test the hypothesis was the t-test. The results of data analysis using t-test showed that there were differences in student achievement who were taught using interactive multimedia drills model with students who were taught using science comic media. This can be seen in the post-test results where t-count > t-table is 2.206 > 2.002. Thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there are differences in student achievement who are taught using interactive multimedia drills model with students who are taught using science comics
