This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was done by interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the success of educational management applied to mentally retarded children cannot be separated from the existence of a good management process, namely from the planning process, organizing process, implementation process, and control process. The supporting factors for implementing such management include local government support, an adequate organizational structure, and the ability of teachers and parental support. While the inhibiting factors from the application of such management are the condition of mentally retarded students who have different characteristics, the location of the school is far from public roads, and the entry of students with different disabilities from other mentally retarded students

A two-phase study was conducted to evaluate the articulatory abilities of 777 educable mentally retarded children between the ages of 6 to 16 years in a public school setting. In Phase I, an analysis of articulation acquisition by mental age was computed. The children were then divided into speech-deviant and normal groups, and the articulatory skills of the speech deviant group were analyzed. Substitution and omission errors tended to decrease with increasing mental age, but distortion errors increased. Phase II was an attempt to evaluate the effect of articulation therapy on sound error reduction over a three-year period. The speech-deviant group was subdivided into three groups: Experimental, Placebo, and Control. Differences in sound error reduction among the three groups were not significant.

This study aims at investigating the effect of using a computer program on developing verbal communication among the educable mentally retarded students in the elementary stage in Rafha Province. The sample was selected from the students of the intellectual education classes in the elementary stage in Rafha province/ Northern Borders Region. The researchers followed the experimental method to conduct the study. The sample consisted of 20 students randomly distributed into two groups: an experimental group that was taught using the suggested verbal communication developing computer program and a control group that did not receive any educational program. The program was made up of 21 sessions. Each session lasted for 45 minutes, three times a week. The researchers used verbal communication scale to collect data and to compare the performance of the experimental and control groups in the pre and post tests. The results of the study indicated that there are statistically significant differences on the verbal communication scale among the students of the two groups at the level of (0.01) in favor of the experimental group.

This study is very important as a solution to explain the proper communication and how to implement the right communication process in achieving harmony values for all elements related to humans. Unlimited communication between human relations, but also need to understand the form of relations with other than humans. The methodology used in this study is based on an approach that was awakened in the discipline of ALAMTOGI namely the XYZ formula. The XYZ formula explains all the life processes that are manifest are still subject to the XYZ relationship. X as the executor, namely human, Z as the media, namely the element of nature, and Y as the creator, namely constructor Z and X. The result of research that is harmonious communication is communication carried out by means of legal agreement, starting from process planning, process implementation to process achievement. Legal accuracy, that is, every action taken by X in using Z, must understand the value of prosperity possessed by element Z. Planning the communication process can be carried out in four stages, namely the accuracy of planning, preparation of planning tools, willingness of planning tools and willingness to implement the implementation process . The right communication is to be able to produce certainty based on the certainty of the process. However, if communication is based on perceptions of the process, then it certainly produces predictions of results. This is what is called harmony communication.

Twelve trainable mentally retarded children were given six weeks of instruction in the use of adjectives, polars, and locative prepositions. Specially prepared Language Master cards constituted the program. Posttests indicated that children in the older chronological age group earned significantly higher scores than those in the younger group. Children in the younger group made significant increases in scores, particularly in learning prepositions. A multisensory approach and active involvement in learning appeared to be major factors in achievement gains.
