Teachers play a very important role in improving the quality of education. Therefore, professional teachers are required to always improve their competence, one of them is social competence. Learning will not run well and effectively if the teacher is not able to develop social competence. The purpose of this study is to describe and find out the relationship of teacher social competence in inculcating student character education. This research was carried out at SD Negeri 014 Pulau Rengas. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive. Methods of data collection using questionnaires, interviews, field notes. The results showed that the social competence of teachers obtained an average score of 90% in the excellent category and the assessment of students' character education planting had an average value of 85% in the very good category. The results of the study prove the teacher's social competence is very important in instilling character education in elementary school students 014 Pulau Rengas

The teacher is the holder of a very important role in improving the quality of education. Therefore professional teachers are required to always improve their competence, one of them is social competence. learning will not run well and effectively if the teacher is not able to develop social competence. The focus of the problem in this research is the application of the method of word guessing and improvement of science learning outcomes in the human digestive organ material in grade V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah 43 Batulotong. Furthermore, this study aims to improve students' understanding in teaching subjects IPA Madrasah Ibtidaiyah 43 Batulotong so that the quality of learning can be achieved optimally. This research uses qualitative approach and quantitative approach with Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is designed through three cycles. The research data obtained were analyzed by using descriptive statistic formula (percentage) to express descriptively the research result. Furthermore, to discuss and explain the results of research that is qualitative descriptive techniques used data reduction analysis, data presentation, and conclusion. From the research results showed that in the pre cycle stage, the average value of student learning outcomes is 50.70. With a classical thoroughness of 7.69%. After implemented by applying the method of guessing words, in the first cycle, the average score of student learning outcomes is 63.92 with 39% complete classical learning. Furthermore, in cycle II with the average value of student learning outcomes is 88.62 with 79.16% classical learning completeness. Then, continued in cycle III with the average value of student learning outcomes is 90.42 with classical learning completeness 88.46%. Thus, students' learning outcomes on science lessons in grade V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah by applying the word guess method can increase in each cycle. Therefore, the method of word guessing should be used as a reference by teachers in science learning activities in SD / MI, especially in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah 43 Batulotong.

AbstractThis study aims to describe the social capital developed by economics teachers in Pontianak City High School. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data was collected from 10 economics teachers in Pontianak City High School. Data analysis techniques using qualitative descriptive techniques. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation and field notes / log books to see intellectual capital and social capital developed by economics teachers to improve the quality of graduates, and data collection instruments in the form: interviews to teachers about the social capital they develop and interviews with students and principals as a cross check data. It also observes the activities of teachers in developing social capital. The results showed that the social capital developed by economics teachers in Pontianak State High School includes Trust through the activities of teachers building mutual trust with their students in race activities. Keywords: Social Capital of Economic Teachers AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan modal sosial yang dikembangkan guru ekonomi di SMA Negeri Kota Pontianak. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dari 10 orang guru ekonomi SMA Negeri Kota Pontianak. Teknik análisis data menggunakan tehnik deskriptif kualitatif.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi dan catatan lapangan /log book untuk melihat modal sosial yang dikembangkan oleh guru ekonomi untuk meningkatkan kualitas lulusan,  dan  Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa: wawancara kepada guru tentang modal social yang dikembangkannya serta wawancara dengan siswa dan kepala sekolah sebagai cros cek data. Selain itu juga melakukan pengamatan terhadap kegiatan guru dalam mengembangkan modal sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Modal sosial yang dikembangkan guru ekonomi di SMA Negeri Pontianak meliputi Trust melalui kegiatan guru-guru membangun rasa saling percaya dengan para siswanya dalam kegiatan perlombaan.Kata Kunci : Modal Sosial Guru Ekonomi

This study aims to describe the values of character education contained in the 3rd grade students' books in theme 4 Caring for the Social Environment. This research is a qualitative descriptive study The data in this study are sentences that contain and show the value of social care character education. Data collection is documentation. Data analysis method used is content analysis. The results showed the value of character education of social care in accordance with the indicators, namely: (1) tolerant of differences, (2) able to work together, (3) willing to be involved in community activities, (4) love humans and living things, (5) love peace in dealing with differences. So there are indicators of the value of social care character education that has not been found in the sentences contained in the book grade 3 elementary school students theme 4 Caring for the Social Environment, namely: (1) treat others politely, (2) act politely, (3) do not like to hurt people others, (4) do not take advantage of others.

One of the use of learning media is to deliver the material from teacher to students. There are many types of learning media that can be applied to learning activities, especially at the primary school. In the era of technology, there are many new habits in life especially for primary school. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the material for primary school students about the value of goodness contained in regional arts. This research is included in research and development which will later obtain the results of a teaching material in the form of a Pop up book learning media by using Jombang's art figures. In addition to obtain a learning media, this research also aims to determine the process, implementation, and quality of the media. The research process was carried out in accordance with the steps in the 4-D model from Thiagarjan which had been modified by researchers without dissemination stage. In the development process, the researcher obtained 94.35% from material and media experts. While at the implementation stage, the researcher obtained 85.89% from the average score given by media users. Then 87.01% for the quality score which is the average of the process and implementation stages which indicates that the media developed by researchers is included in the category of very valid and feasible to be used without the need for improvement.

Abstract. This paper is aimed at examining the effect of physical activity, socioeconomic, and family environment on the social skills of elementary school students of South Tangerang City. In collecting the data, survey was employed as it used quantitative technique in which it examined how independent variable influenced the dependent one partially or simultaneously. Samples taken to assert this research are 164 students coming from 2nd grade of Labschool FIP UMJ and 2nd grade of Madrasah Pembangunan of UIN Jakarta. This study brings the writers to the facts that; (1) physical activities directly affect social skills; (2) socioeconomic effects directly on social skill; (3) family environment directly affects social skills; (4) physical, socio-economic and family activities all at once influence on students’ social skills. For this reason, it is assumed that the students’ social skills can be well fostered once they have well-developed quality of physical activities, socio-economic and family environment.

The purpose of this research was to know the social relationship through Sorokin's theory. This research was done through a film titled Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them which was released in 2016 ago. The data was taken from the utterance of character dialogue through documentation, the process of watching, and post watches the film. The method of research used a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study indicated that: (1.) Knowing the types of social relationships: Social interaction phenomena, non-social interaction phenomena in the film based on Sorokin’s theory, (2.) Getting 7 data about a social relationship were: three data about social interaction phenomena conceptual social interaction phenomena by a human in friendship, social interaction phenomenon by a human in ethnic, social interaction phenomenon in helping the economy, (3.) Obtained seven data also for sub-chapter cause and effect using Tsapeli's theory as it was basic theory
