The article analyzes the importance of computer technologies in the educational process in higher education. The possibilities of entering the educational information space for engineering specialties were demonstrated. The capabilities of modern virtual laboratories are analyzed. The possibilities of using a virtual laboratory in distance learning were demonstrated. The use of modern computer technology is illustrated by the use of the Electronics Workbench electronic software package.

This work reports on the use of virtual tools as means of learning process activation, on the example of the automated information system Platonus. A good result can be achieved by combining the classical learning with modern computer technology. By creating a virtual learning environment and using distance learning tools one can obtain a significant result while facilitating the development of students’ intellectual faculties. One of the effective ways to form students’ knowledge and skills is to carry out distance learning. By carrying out practical lessons by using the automated information system Platonus, one can set various goals facilitating the extension of frontiers of knowledge, significant enrichment, and diversification of learning.

High competition in the educational service market and the necessity to provide advanced level of quality in training of specialists require introducing into traditional educational form a new format based on information technologies and interactive methods of educational process by research and educational staff of higher education institution. The specific of MOODLE using for distance learning during the quarantine COVID-19 is considered and its advantages and disadvantages for training management and administration specialists are discussed in the article. The questionnaire which was carried out by authors among students of the Accounting and Finance Faculty of the Centralukrainian National Technical University in terms of their attitude about LMS MOODLE use for distance training during spring semester of 2019–2020 academic year students shows the next results: Most of the students had a positive attitude to distance learning – 48,3 %, negative – 34,5 %, neutral – 17,2 %. From students prospective the main advantages were the opportunity to study and work at the same time (32.4 %) to plan more flexible study schedule (29.7 %). Existence of such negative situation as wish to cheat while performing tests and tasks in MOODLE. Difficulties for lecturers to control stand-alone basis tests and tasks performance by students. The main problem was the independent study of lectures and practical tasks by students without teachers’ support. To improve the effectiveness of training asynchronous Moodle or Google Classroom platforms and learning sessions in Zoom, Meet, Skype, etc should be combined. This approach allows visualizing educational material with presentations and simplifying training materials by students, as well as expanding opportunities for students with special educational needs to obtain professions in management and administration.

Distance learning has already become a part of the educational process. In this regard, questions appear concerning its organization and the solution of specific problems. They include laboratory workshops, which is an integral part of the educational process in higher education since laboratory works allow students to gain knowledge and acquire skills, which is a prerequisite for the formation of their specialist competence. The problems of obtaining educational information during distance learning can be quite successfully solved. However, the acquisition of experimental skills remains an educational, scientific, and methodological problem that requires a solution. The article defines the peculiarities of using virtual laboratory workshops in the online education of students studying the discipline “Inorganic Chemistry”. The theoretic analysis of the main statements of the research problem was presented in the article. The results of the experimental study have proved that the use of computer modeling and the tools of a virtual laboratory when studying chemistry disciplines increases the educational achievements of the students, regardless of the initial level of knowledge. A prerequisite for the effective acquisition of skills by students is the systematic use of virtual laboratory tools. With the occasional use of virtual laboratory instruments, the skills obtained during the experiment were not learned or were not learned for a long time. The use of virtual laboratories provides independent training for students, increases motivation to master new material. Students focus on the experimental process, not on equipment and tools, as it happens in a real laboratory, which can become both a positive and a negative aspect of acquiring practical skills of future engineers, doctors, and pharmacists.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the features of teaching foreign languages in higher education in the context of distance learning. To achieve this goal, the article uses the methods of theoretical analysis, critical analysis of scientific resources and scientific observation of the educational process. A comprehensive description of the application of these methods through the prism of foreign languages is the scientific novelty of the work. In the era of continuous informatization of society and education, in particular the use of modern computer technology, the Internet, multimedia and mobile communications in the educational process of higher education, has become a necessary condition for training and education of competent professionals and their future adaptation to working conditions. Therefore, educational institutions try to organize the educational process so as to provide students with full access to educational materials, using paper, electronic and multimedia media and access to Internet resources. In addition, the use of computer technology and the Internet, distance learning technologies significantly expands the range of potential students and allows to involve in education (including language) a wider range of students from abroad. Conclusions. Distance learning through computer telecommunication networks has broad prospects in the study of foreign languages. First of all, this advantage, in comparison, for example, with video and audio seminars, lies in the availability of operational feedback from teachers and students, with numerous training programs. Distance learning of foreign languages is a fairly effective form of learning a foreign language, aimed at the development of cognitive abilities, oral speech, foreign language thinking and full mastery of written foreign language communication.

The global spread of coronavirus infection has paralysed the work of many areas of economic, business, and, of course, educational activities of almost all countries on the planet. Unfortunately, Ukraine is no exception and a quarantine regime has been introduced in this country. The way out of the current situation in education in Ukraine was the introduction of distance learning in all educational institutions, which created new challenges for both teachers and students. The purpose of the paper was to study information technologies, tools and methods of learning that can be used for distance learning in educational institutions under quarantine. As a result, authors analysed world practices in ensuring the educational process within the framework of distance learning. The advantages and disadvantages of distance learning technologies for both higher education institutions and higher education seekers were identified.

Online learning platforms play an important role in modern education. However, they may not be sufficiently represented in educational institutions. In this regard, the research objectives are set, namely: organize a comparative analysis of several popular distance learning platforms (Moodle, Open edX and NEO LMS) in accordance with the criteria (system features, content support, content creation, user management, reporting system; conduct consultation with university teachers, during which they will highlight the benefits of distance education systems from the point of view of the teacher; and test students, who use the online platform for learning in order to clarify its impact on academic performance. While consulting with 40 teachers of Russian and Chinese universities (Moscow State University, Higher School of Economics, Peking University, Tsinghua University), the following advantages of distance platforms have been highlighted: greater freedom of access, lower education prices, the possibility of dividing the content of the e-course into modules, flexibility of education, the ability to keep up with modern pace of life, and the ability to define criteria for assessing knowledge. According to the results of testing, after working with the Moodle platform, students (300 people in total) with different academic performance have improved their results. The most significant improvement has occurred among students with “unsatisfactory” grades; more than 50% have improved their results. Analysis of distance learning systems, testing of students and consultation with teachers allow saying that such platforms help to make education more accessible and convenient. Besides, information technologies are introduced in the educational process. That is why it is important to implement such platforms in higher education.

Introduction. Ensuring livelihood in to- day's information society has a number of specific re- quirements for all its members. At present, it is impossible to imagine modern industries, science, education, culture, sports and economics, without the use of computers; they help a person in work, study, research, recreation, etc. Therefore, characteristic of the current stage of develop- ment of society – the formation of the information society – is the widespread introduction of computer technology in all spheres of human life, including in the training of spe- cialists in various specialties, practical psychologists in particular. But, as the experience of practical activity in this field shows, it is computer technologies that open up fundamentally new opportunities and, as a result, have gained recognition and spread in the developed countries of the world, are extremely little used by domestic psy- chologists. Purpose. Consider the possibility of using information technology in the work of professional psychologists; develop a program of specialized training for the training of future psychologists. Methods. Analysis, synthesis, systematization, speci- fication, generalization. Results. As a result of the research, the training course "Information Technologies in Psychology" was concluded, which is intended for students studying in the 3rd year in the specialty "Psychology" at the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" Originality. The original is the adaptation of knowledge about modern information technology for the training and professional activities of practical psycholo- gists. Conclution. 1. Modern computer technology provides ample opportunities in all areas of human activity, some of which can be used in the training of future professional psychologists. 2. Their application provides new opportu- nities for employees of psychological services in various institutions, allows to implement previously unavailable techniques, which expands the range of services provided and improves the level of customer satisfaction. 3. The use of modern computer technology allows a practical psychologist to rise to a new, higher level of professional- ism, in almost all activities.

The article deals with a phased approach to the development of information competence of future teachers of visually impaired, which was implemented in teaching students of "Special education (pedagogy for the blind)." General pedagogical and special literature about the introduction of the latest computer technologies in educational process of secondary and higher education was analyzed, as well as the level of development of this in Ukraine. The interpretation of the concepts of "computer training", "information and computer competence of tiflopedagog" and "readiness to use the latest computer technology by future teachers" was high lighted. The content of training in computer technology was identified and justified for the future teachers of visually impaired, which is a system of information and disciplines of computer sphere, associated with the study of the multifaceted phenomenon of information technologies, as well as the patterns and characteristics of its manifestations in various spheres of professional work of teachers of visually impaired. The efficiency of a phased approach is shown on training of students of the Faculty of Correctional Pedagogy and Psychology of National Pedagogic University named after N.P. Dragomanov.

The article presents the results of the concept analysis, information and communication technology of education as a parallel, interconnected development of computer technology in the framework of educational concept. The potential and prospects for the development of information technologies in the modern educational environment are revealed. II Международный конгресс ЮНЕСКО «Образование и информатика» (1996) и «Окинавская хартия Глобального информационного общества» (2000) объявили информационные технологии стратегическим ресурсом в образовании. Революционные воздействия этих документов напрямую относились к жизни людей, их образованию и работе. И вот сейчас в 2021 году актуализировалась потребность использования информационных технологий в образовании для содействия и помощи студентам шире использовать свой потенциал и реализовывать свои устремления в эпоху пандемии COVID-19. В связи с этим для укрепления студенческого потенциала необходимо уделять особое внимание высшему образованию и одновременно расширять возможность пожизненного обучения с упором на развитие навыков использования информационных технологий через систему дистанционных образовательных технологий. Информационные технологии обучения – это совокупность электронных средств компьютера, компьютерных сетей, компьютерных телекоммуникаций, других средств связи и способов их функционирования, используемых для реализации образовательного процесса. Все эти средства должны эффективно работать не только для непосредственной информатизации учебного процесса, но и для информатизации всего комплекса процессов, характерных для системы высшего образования. Помимо расширения традиционной технической помощи для эффективного функционирования дистанционного обучения, необходимо содействовать подготовке специалистов в сфере информационных технологий и разрабатывать инновационные подходы. В статье анализируются проблема применения дистанционных образовательных технологий в системе высшего образования России. Авторы рассматривают информатизацию высшего образования с его достоинствами и недостатками с учетом собственного опыта преподавания, а также ставят вопрос о необходимости развития дистанционного обучения, повышения его эффективности и дальнейших перспективах. The II UNESCO International Congress "Education and Informatics" (1996) and the Okinawa Charter of the Global Information Society (2000) declared information technology a strategic resource in education. The revolutionary effects of these documents directly related to people's lives, their education and work. And now, in 2021, the need to use information technologies in education has become more urgent to promote and help students use their potential more widely and realize their aspirations in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this regard, in order to strengthen student potential, it is necessary to pay special attention to higher education and at the same time expand the possibility of lifelong learning with an emphasis on the development of information technology skills through a system of distance learning technologies. Information technologies of education is a set of electronic computer tools, computer networks, computer telecommunications, other means of communication and ways of their functioning used for the implementation of the educational process. All these tools should work effectively not only for the direct informatization of the educational process, but also for the informatization of the entire complex of processes characteristic of the higher education system. In addition to expanding traditional technical assistance for the effective functioning of distance learning, it is necessary to promote the training of specialists in the field of information technology and develop innovative approaches. The article analyzes the problem of the use of distance learning technologies in the higher education system of Russia. The authors consider the informatization of higher education with its advantages and disadvantages, taking into account their own teaching experience, and also raise the question of the need to develop distance learning, improve its effectiveness and future prospects.
