This chapter reads Beckett's Endgame alongside another prominent work of the mid-century French literary context, Roland Barthes's A Lover's Discourse: Fragments. It proposes that queer readings of Beckett's play have emphasized queer sexual relations and sexual acts at the cost of attending to the experience of love as itself a potentially queered condition. Emphasizing the relationship of Clov and Hamm as an ongoing dialogue in the sense of that undertaken by Barthes's figure of the plagued Romantic lover, or l'amoureux, this reading finds in Barthes's work precisely the critical vocabulary to make the queer experience and relations of Beckett's play visible.

RESUMO Ao observar as relações de Nietzsche com seus contemporâneos verifica-se que ele estava ciente das principais discussões relativas à Unificação da Alemanha (1871). Para a unificação era necessário que os 39 estados alemães compartilhassem o sentimento de pertencimento a uma pátria comum. Nesse meandro, os historiadores prussianos do século XIX desempenharam papel fundamental ao produzir um ambiente filosófico nacionalista, uma maneira científica e objetiva de pensar sobre a história. O objetivo deste trabalho é compreender as interações de Nietzsche com estes círculos intelectuais. Para isto, foram selecionados quatro dos chamados fragmentos póstumos de Nietzsche datados entre 1871 e 1873. De acordo com o ponto de vista de Nietzsche, as pretensões dos historiadores, não tinham nenhuma crítica, pois acreditavam, ingenuamente, que a verdade era um alvo tangível. Por outro lado, ele indicou a necessidade de uma história ligada à cultura, que era trabalhada em conjunto com "instintos artísticos".  ABSTRACT By observing the relationship of Nietzsche with his contemporaries one can notice that he was aware of the main discussions related to the unification of Germany (1871). Unification required 39 German states to share the feeling of belonging to a common homeland. Prussian historians of the nineteenth century played a key role in producing such a nationalist philosophical environment, a scientific and objectivist way of thinking about History. This work aim is to understand the interactions between Nietzsche and this intelectual circles. For this purpose, four of the so-called posthumous Nietzsche fragments, dated between 1871 and 1873, were selected. According to Nietzsche's point of view, some historians had a naive pretension to reach the truth, as if it were a tangible target. On another hand, he pointed out the necessity of a link between History and Culture, which should be understood altogether with ‘artistic instincts’.

This investigation was made to evaluate the health and well-being of workers who made activities in the manufacturing processes of an aerospace industry installed in the city of Mexicali and based on the evidence presented in certain stages of a production line. The cost-benefit of applying ergonomic methods was analyzed, developing a descriptive model, which involved important aspects. Said aspects analyzed were (1) work methods, (2) training of employees in the operational area, (3) evaluation of times and movements of industrial operations, and (4) working conditions as the relationship of workers with supervisors and managers.

In a service-oriented networked manufacturing (SONM) environment, geographically distributed manufacturing resources are encapsulated as various manufacturing services. These manufacturing services release via the Internet and can provide services on the demand of manufacturing tasks. Usually one manufacturing task needs several different services belonged to different organizers to work together. Hence, effective cooperation among services is the foundation of the efficient operation of SONM. In this paper, a bipartite network model is presented to describe the relationship of two different kinds of nodes in SONM, and also is projected as a weighed network for further exploring the behaviors of service nodes. Furthermore, an agent-based model is built for modeling the interactive behaviors of service nodes in a cooperative network and an agent-based simulating system is developed with Repast. The simulation results show that the emergence of cooperative behaviors among service nodes is related to both the cost of cooperation and initial trust of services in the SONM environment.

Vertrauen hat zunächst einmal eine fundamentale Funktion in der sozialen Sphäre. Dementsprechend fungiert es als philosophischer Terminus vor allem in der Politischen, der Sozial- und der Moralphilosophie. Aber auch in der neueren Soziologie und Psychologie ist es zentral. Im Verweis darauf kann man das Vertrauensverhältnis zwischen Zuschauer und Leinwandheld als parasozial bezeichnen, als eine Als-ob- Interaktion. Für die neuere Filmphilosophie spezifisch interessant ist demgegenüber das ontologische Vertrauen. Statt es mit Deleuze im Sinne einer Kino-Metaphysik zu erklären, scheint es angemessener, die verschiedenen fachspezifischen Antworten noch einmal unter Kants Spielkonzept zusammenzubinden. Ästhetische Erfahrungen bestärken uns in der Einstellung, so zu tun, als ob wir in die Welt Vertrauen haben könnten. At first trust plays a fundamental role within the social sphere. Accordingly, trust serves as philosophical term above all in Political, Social, and Moral Philosophy. But it is also central in recent Sociology and Psychology. Referring to these disciplines, the relationship of trust be- tween viewer and hero on the screen can be called ›parasocial‹, as-if-interaction. In contrast, ontological trust is of particular interest for recent philosophy of film. Instead of explaining it, following Deleuze, in terms of a metaphysics of cinema it seems to be more adequate to com- bine the different subject-specific answers in Kant’s concept of play. Aesthetic experiences then are encouraging us in the attitude to act as if there could be trust in the world.

This study aims to determine the effect of applying e-filing and knowledge of taxation on taxpayer compliance. Compliance costs as moderating variable that moderate relations between application e-filing and knowledge taxation on the taxpayer compliance. The population in this study is taxpayers in Padang city. The number off samples used was 100 respondents with the sampling method using purposive sampling. The data used in this study are primary data. Data collection techniques are done by questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression and moderated regression analysis. The results obtained are the application of e-filing has a significant positive effect on taxpayer compliance, knowledge of taxation does not affect taxpayer compliance, compliance costs proved to moderate the relationship between the implementation of e-filing and taxpayer compliance, and the cost of compliance was not proven to moderate the knowledge relationship of taxation with taxpayer compliance

the main issue of the study is the problem of improving the efficiency of the housing sector. The current state system does not ensure the proper efficiency of the housing stock, which is increasingly manifested in the growing gap between the cost of operation of apartment buildings, aimed at ensuring the quality of their functioning and the real state of this quality. In recent years, numerous regulatory documents have been adopted to ensure the normal maintenance of buildings, but a comprehensive understanding of the relationship of various activities with technical and economic solutions, in most cases, has an empirical nature, not confirmed by a strict analytical justification. The purpose of the study is a systematic integrated approach to solving problems to improve the efficiency of maintenance of housing using the proposed mathematical apparatus, which allows you to objectively, fully and accurately assess the relationship of economic and technical indicators. All total socially significant economic indicators of operational measures can be the basis of legislative regulation in the industry. Conclusions: criteria for assessing the effective and safe operation of buildings, optimal for residents of apartment buildings and management companies serving these houses.

This study aims to examine the effect of disclosure and earnings quality on the cost of equity. The theory used to explain the relationship of each variable in this study is agency theory and signal theory. The population used in this study is a manufacturing company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2013-2017. The sample selection method used is the purposive sampling method and produced 87 companies as samples. Data analysis in this study used E-Views (Econometric Views). The results of this study succeeded in proving that the higher the disclosure and earnings quality can reduce the cost of equity.

Abstract Emerging technologies are efficient alternatives for satisfying the growing demand for sustainable and cheap energy sources. Piezoelectrics are one of the most promising energy sources derived from emerging technologies. These materials are capable of converting mechanical energy into electricity or vice versa. Piezoelectrics have been used for almost a hundred years to generate electrical and sound pulses. However, the use of piezoelectrics for power generation is constrained by the cost associated with equipment and infrastructure. This problem has been addressed through mathematical models that relate the physical and electrical properties of the piezoelectric material with the voltage generated. Although these models have high performance, they do not incorporate voltage rectification and electrical charge storage stages. This work presents a mathematical model that describes the relationship of the physical and electromechanical properties of a system employing a piezoelectric for energy generation. The voltage of the system and the charge stored in a capacitor are calculated through this model. Also, contour diagrams are presented as a tool for facilitating the efficiency of energy generation.

Este artigo tem como tema a relação entre literatura, religião e modernidade. A partir deste, desdobra uma problemática em torno da irrupção de uma autonomia crítico-criativa na formação literária brasileira, no início do século XX, e a relação dessa autonomia com a heteronomia estético-religiosa vigente naquele contexto. O estudo propõe desenvolver essa problemática a partir do papel que a obra poética de Augusto dos Anjos (1884-1914) tem para a história da literatura brasileira. O objetivo do artigo é reconhecer a originalidade de Anjos em relação ao contexto literário vigente e, num segundo momento, analisar o poema Viagem de um vencido numa perspectiva teológico-literária, tendo em mente a problemática da relação acima mencionada. Nas conclusões destaca-se as implicações teológicas dos elementos de originalidade da poesia de Anjos; a pertinência da mediação teórico-metodológica da teologia da cultura de Paul Tillich para essa perspectiva crítica; bem como a contribuição de uma abordagem que considere a temática religiosa para a compreensão do processo histórico-literário da poesia brasileira.Palavras-chave: Poesia brasileira. Within this theme, it addresses this relationship as an issue concerning the emergence of a critical-creative autonomy in the formation of Brazilian literary culture in the early twentieth century, and the relationship of this autonomy with the current aesthetic-religious heteronomy in that context. The study develops this problem from the important role that the poetic work of Augusto dos Anjos (1884-1914) plays in the history of Brazilian literature. The objective of this article is to recognize Anjos’ originality regarding his literary context and, secondly, it aims to analyze the poem Viagem de um vencido (Journey of a defeated man) in a theological and literary perspective, taking into consideration the problem previously mentioned. In conclusion, the article highlights the following aspects: the theological implications of the originality of Anjos’ poetry; the theoretical and methodological relevance of Paul Tillich’s Theology of Culture for this critical analysis; and the contribution of an approach that considers religious themes to understand the historical and literary process of Brazilian poetry.Keywords: Brazilian poetry.
