Posyandu is a program of the Ministry of Health which in its implementation cooperate with Posyandu. Before a program is socialized to the community, careful planning is made. In the planning of culture and social life and local wisdom in a region becomes important capital in the successful implementation of the program. The message to be conveyed should be able to reach as many people as possible (communicant). Communities targeted by messages are heterogeneous. After considering and discussing and reaching an agreement, the message from the center will be rolled into the ranks below, in this case to the provincial, municipality, district, administrative Village, RW and RT levels. The message was then restored in a more conical way by involving the Provincial Health Office and the community consisting of Posyandu Chairman, Posyandu Cadre and health workers. Mothers who have been informed about the benefits of immunization deliver it to the husband, who will usually decide whether the child should be immunized or not. Most husbands are already aware of the benefits of immunization for the health of infants and toddlers ages 0 months to five years. Posyandu cadres adapt to targeted community conditions. The prevailing culture in society is an important consideration in the persuasive of parents who have babies and toddlers. The communication strategy includes macro strategy (planned multi media strategy) and micro (single communication medium strategy).

Internationalization among Washington State apparel SMEs was examined, to determine whether internal barriers were preventing firms from exporting at higher levels. A case study research design and stratified purposeful criterion sampling approach were utilized to collect qualitative data from Washington State apparel SMEs, who manufacture and sell “Made in the USA” consumer products. An analysis of the findings indicated that the growth of e-commerce platforms and establishment of reliable international shipping services have led to a decline in the significance of traditional concerns about internal export barriers for direct, indirect, and hybrid exporters.

Abstract The sequential development of a western, and then an eastern, North Pacific cyclone is examined in terms of eddy energy and a phase-independent wave activity. Based on the propagation of both a contiguous wave activity center and eddy energy, the development of the western cyclone appears to influence its downstream neighbor. A quantitative comparison of these two diagnoses is made in terms of group velocity, and only minor differences are found during much of the initial evolution. It is only once the tropopause undulations lose their wavelike appearance (at which point, application of the group-velocity concept itself becomes quite tenuous) that the downstream propagation of eddy energy seems faster than that of wave activity. Conventional methods of tracking this wave packet are also briefly discussed.

An ongoing effort is being made in the communication field to map the possibilities of media criticism, since there are several modalities of study in this area. In this case, we propose a glance at the journalistic metacriticism that emerges from work cultures financed by alternative models - an organizational redesign that has made the circulation of new narratives about social life possible. Starting from the counter-hegemonic place that vitalizes this other journalism, methodologically, we resort to case study in consonance with the analysis of narratives produced in the context of the project: Ponte: Direitos humanos, justiça e segurança pública (Ponte: Human rights, justice and public safety).Está em andamento, no campo da comunicação, um esforço para o mapeamento das possibilidades de crítica de mídia, já que são várias as modalidades de estudo nessa área. In the trend of openness and international economic integration, traditional craft villages are gradually regaining their positions in the economic, cultural and social life of each country and nation. These villages are like colorful images contributing to recreate the unique, lively, separate and irreplaceable features of the country and people in each area and region. Currently, developing craft village tourism is the subject of various studies, and is the target of many provinces in Vietnam. This paper focuses on analyzing the current status of craft village tourism in Vinh Phuc - a province located in the North of Vietnam, showing the results, limitations as well as proposing a range of recommendations to develop craft village tourism in Vinh Phuc in the context of world economic integration.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to consider the way in which the police service in England and Wales may be able to deal with significant cuts in government funding. The concept of “lean”, as developed in Japanese manufacturing in the 1950s, is proposed as a method by which waste can be reduced at the same time as improvements being made in policing outcomes. Characteristics of police culture and leadership are presented as potential blockages to the successful implementation of lean. Design/methodology/approach This paper reviews literature within the sphere of operations management, policing and organisational behaviour to make appropriate recommendations. A case study, considering the performance challenges facing the Metropolitan Police Service in London, is provided to aid understanding and act as a catalyst for further discussion and research. Findings This paper argues that the simplistic approach to managing austerity so far has been short sighted – rather than considering the longer term development of policing and how a methodology such as lean may be better placed to deliver genuine improvements in public service, whilst also meeting unprecedented fiscal challenges. Originality/value Consideration of lean within public sector management has received recent scrutiny, but very little is offered in terms of the opportunities that lean thinking can offer within policing.

The main objective of this study was to investigate the impact of on-the-job training on employee performance. It was a case study conducted at Riley’s Hotel at Maun; a tourist destination in the North Western part of Botswana. The researchers used a questionnaire to collect data. The results of the study indicated that to a large extent Riley’s Hotel implemented on the job training and that the majority of employees have attended the training. There is also an indication that most of the employees believe that on the job training makes them effective in their jobs. Too much work and time constraints were revealed as challenges to the successful implementation of on the job training. Employment of trained staff was suggested as a major possible solution to the challenges of on the job training. The study concludes that even though on the job training was implemented at Riley’s Hotel there were a number of challenges militating against its perfect implementation. This study would benefit any organization interested in on-the-job training and employee performance.
