BACKGROUND: India, with the declaration of COVID-19 as a pandemic, started imposing restrictions in the country th and initiated a nationwide lockdown under Section 6 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 on 24 March 2020, followed by four phases of lockdown and then gradual unlock of the country. The rationale behind the same was to avoid social contact. Alcohol dispensing was also stopped during this time and was among the rst services to be reopened by the States. We propose in this paper that this lifting of ban on alcohol sale during the pandemic has led to a signicant increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country. METHODS: This is a prospective, observational study, done by collecting data from the Aargya Setu App, which is a mobile application launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on 2 April 2020 for contact tracing and elf assessment of COVID-19. The data of cumulative number of cases in 12 selected states of the country were compared before and after the lift of ban of alcohol and signicance was shown by the paired t test. RESULTS: The number of COVID-19 positive cases in the country during nationwide lockdown with simultaneous ban on alcohol sale when compared to cumulative number of cases after the lift of ban of alcohol sale during Lockdown and initial Unlock is statistically signicant (p = 0.04) CONCLUSION: We found that the decision to restart the sale of Alcohol could have been a factor for rise in number of cases in the country in the given timeframe. The decision to start the sale has also not been in accordance with the Indian Constitution and against the nation's founding ethics.

Traditional methods of irrigation and fertilizing is very time consuming for farmers. Over-irrigation as well as leaching of fertilizers below the root zone, erosion, and transport of soil and chemical particles to the drainage ditches can increase energy and water consumption in farming. A single systems combining irrigation and fertilizing will greatly reduce the cost and time needed in farming. There are two types of fertilizers available for home gardener – granular and water-soluble fertilizers. Generally, granular fertilizers release nutrient gradually but can last longer than water-soluble fertilizers. This project will provide an automated system for irrigation and fertilizing for plantation using Arduino as the microcontroller. This system will include a mobile application to control the amount of water during the irrigation and fertilizing processes. The microcontroller communicates with the mobile application via internet using the Wi-Fi modulator. Then, the microcontroller processes the information and operates the irrigation and fertilizing pumps which supplies water and fertilizer through the sprinkler system in the field. Any feedback will be sent to the user through the mobile application.

The development of cloud services improving the interaction of banks, stores and customers becomes high-demanded by digitalized society, that is ready to use innovative software products. The Receipts & Promotions cloud service, developed at the concept level, allows to realize the idea of providing complete information of a receipt in electronic form along with printed receipt for the Mir plastic card holders through the "Privet, Mir!" mobile application. Information from electronic receipts accumulated in the Mir cloud will allow the customer to receive personalized bonus offers from the stores — partners of the program, as well as manage the family budget. The introduction of the service opens up the wide opportunities to the stores for communication with customers. The Receipts & Promotions service is able to become the first software product based on the collection and analysis of information from electronic receipts linked to a specific user. The system of flexible personalization of bonus offers and their assessment by customers is unique and not implemented in other software products. It will be possible to consider the display of electronic receipts in the "Privet, Mir!" mobile application in a user-friendly interface as the first fully automated option of providing electronic receipts to a wide range of users.

Agricultural productivity along with good nutrition plays a major role in addressing human health. The major source of nutrients for the growth of plants is soil.. The three main nutrients needed by plants are Phosphorus (P),Nitrogen (N) and silver-white element (K) square which are combined and made them into a single name thetrio(NPK). Other important nutrients are calcium, magnesium, and sulphur. Smart Agriculture helps in identifying the nutrient contents present in the soil and also thereby increase the crop yield. The proposed work helps farmers to identify the nutrient contents present in the soil and also helps farmers to identify the type of crops that can be grown on the soil. An automated system can be developed for detecting moisture level, temperature, humidity, pH level in the soil. It also notifies the farmer with an alert message in case of fire. These values are obtained from individual sensors and they are sent to the cloud using Wi-Fi module. Using the API (Application Programming Interface) keys those values are transferred to the mobile application, through which the farmers can monitor their crops remotely. This mobile application also helps the farmers by suggesting a different type of crops that can be grown based on the pH level of the soil. It also suggests the farmers with the amount of limestone and sulphur to be added in the soil in order to raise or lower the pH value by 2.

An intelligent application is an instrumental driving force in retention and satisfaction of customers. Consertle would be one of the first banking applications in India that enables users to interact with an intelligent application through a chat bot that is specifically designed to understand, interpret and analyze user behavior so as to provide better and more efficient results. While chat bots itself are a new introduction to the Indian financial system, an intelligent chat bot enables customer to instant and more efficient query resolution.Currently, most banking applications are visual medium which requires customer to proceed through various levels of data entry and selection in order to get the desired response. It may be a query related to one’s account, transactions or information about the bank in general; but the process to get a satisfactory result is a relatively long and tedious process. It is notable that automation in the financial sector is largely primitive even after the outbreak of technologies such as AI, CV, ML, etc.Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning enables the creation of an automated system that takes in input in the form of voice and/or text, processes it and gives an intelligent response to the user which would be aimed at satisfying their current requirements along with the possible, predicted, immediate query that is likely to arise. The key component of application Consertle is the portable mobile application that upholds the chatbot, where NLP based speech to text conversion and interpretation takes place, thus production accurate results and also providing suggestions, by analyzing user behavior which is dependent upon many factors.
