The purpose of research. The current state of the tourism industry is characterized by growing demand for tourism services by using GIS technologies and increasing attraction for tourism. Specialists in this field are increasingly using geographic information technology to solve various problems of tourism. This article represents studies and possibilities of comprehensive information technology use in the field of tourism, such as, using of the avalanche pass for a tourist attraction. The information obtained from GIS technologies may have been used not only for travel agencies, but also to be useful for forestry workers but also (because it is an avalanche), should be taken by correspondent rescue services in the winter. Therefore, these studies currently remain relevant for scientific and practical issues. The goal of the work. Show how GIS technology performs the functions of spatial analysis and specific user tasks, such as, data processing, mapping, visualization of tourist routes and areas, etc. Thus, the most common usage of geographic information technologies for the formation of databases and filling mapping atributes about the tourist object and infrastructure of the tourist destination. Improving the informativeness is achieved by visualizing the various characteristics of the object, that is showing the avalanche area, avalanche path and power, which led to the destruction of the forest, and futher on. Method. A tourist route passing through the village of Chernyk, Nadvirna district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, north of Mount Polensky (Polenskaya) was used for this study. The research in this article is based on the use of the extremely destructive snow avalanche that came down from Polensky Mountain in the Ukrainian Carpathians on March 24, 2006 and led to destruction in a large part of the forest in the Gorgany Nature Reserve. Geoinformation modeling methods were used on the territory of the avalanche slope from Polensky Mountain. Results. A digital terrain model of the study area was created. Geotourism route was developed within Gorgan, also some additional studies were performed related to detailed mapping and surface modeling in terms of route safety. Experimental studies were performed based on materials (DEM) provided by the Research Institute, Geodesy and Cartography , also the SURFAR software package was used. On its way, the avalanche destroys not only a large amount of forest (lumber), but also young trees. By cutting and capturing the soil and forest, the avalanche carries all this material (vegetation, top soil, rocks, debris)to the foot of the mountain and changing the terrain as well. According to our estimates, the forest losses caused by this avalanche were as follows: about 2,500 trees were destroyed, or 1,575 cubic meters of lamber. Different models were created for Mount Polenska, which are shown in the relevant figures. The obtained visual images that will be interesting for tourists and enhance the attractiveness of the object. Scientific novelty and practical value. The performed researches doesn’t have only descriptive nature, but also can be applied for the rescue service to protect of tourists on the route. The development of modern transport information systems and the creation of tourist maps and guides are another goals of this research. The creation and accurate mapping of tourist routes with the use of digital electronic maps is especially important, as the existing cartographic material is very inaccurate and the information is outdated. The use of geographic information technologies in tourism will also expand to solve specific engineering problems related to tourism. In addition, the images shown can serve as a warning of possible dangers. Conclusions. Thus, the use of geological objects in the tourism industry is promising, specially for mountainous and upland areas, which are very attractive for tourism. Because the formation of geotourism routes on the basis of correspondent and trusted geological data, and also involves a detailed study of geolocations, the route of the group, taking into account the safety aspects of travel. These tasks are efficiently implemented with the help of geographic information systems and technologies.

The article deals with the structure of the modern information technology system used in the tourism industry. It is emphasized that the use of information technology in each separate segment of the tourism industry, such as hotels, ticket reservations, the creation of specialized tourist products, is interlinked with all others. The purpose of the article is to reveal the peculiarities of the using of modern information technologies in the tourism industry. It was established that the introduction of information technology in the tourism industry took place in four stages, from the creation of data, through the direct development of   information technologies , the development of strategic information systems and the integration of individual IT components      in a network of different levels, from local to global. It is revealed that the majority of tourist enterprises use both standard and special software in their activity. For tourism enterprises to carry out marketing activities successfully, the information market offers technologies aimed at the process of automating the accumulation of survey results, planning and developing a marketing strategy. One of the most important elements in the tourism industry is computer reservation systems, which eventually integrated into global booking systems. These systems provide not only transport services, but also hotel accommodation, cruise trips, location information, bus, rail and air connections, exchange rates, weather reports, etc., allowing one to reserve all major components of the tour. Tour operators use several classic approaches to building a reservation system. The features of the market of tourist services, the specific characteristics of the services themselves and the peculiarities of their perception by consumers determine the specifics of marketing in this area. The use of information technologies, in particular the Internet, enables businesspeople and marketers to explore new market opportunities for their travel services, to highlight and explore various market segments (geographic, demographic, professional, organizational, behavioural, etc.). Tracking relevant information can be used to predict the future development of consumer demand and identify new trends in the behaviour of existing and potential customers. The use of geoinformation systems opens up broad prospects for engineering justification and design of new tourist routes and recreational areas, the publication of thematic tourist maps and the creation of web atlases, etc. Thus, thanks to information technologies, a single tourist information space is created that allows all players in the tourist market to quickly receive real information.

The article considers the role and functions of geographic information technologies in ensuring the cybersecurity of the organization. It is established that the main purpose of the application of geographic information systems (GIS) in the field of cybersecurity is to achieve a comprehensive common vision of the situation in cyberspace by all management entities, which will ensure effective and timely decision-making on awareness, prevention, protection, response and recovery cybersecurity. The concept of GIS application in the field of cybersecurity of the company-manufacturer of GIS platforms ESRI is analyzed, which proposes to implement a geospatial model of perimeter protection in order to identify and evaluate attempts to compromise ITСS and form cyber support lines to perform critical missions.

The purpose of the article is to study the history of the implementation of geographic information technologies in the process of teaching geography at school, the readiness of Ukrainian schools in this process and comparing the achievements of Ukrainian and foreign education systems regarding the use of geographic information technologies in the process of teaching geography. Main material. The use of geographic information systems (GIS) during the teaching of geography at school is an issue that is essential for the further development of education. The challenges faced by society, such as the consequences of scientific and technological progress, globalization, climate change, require the training of specialists who will cope with the tasks that the modern world dictates. To train specialists of a new generation, a specialized education is needed, which will give students new content with the help of new teaching methods. Geography as an educational discipline that develops spatial thinking and understanding of the world as a complex system is at the forefront of changes in the educational process. Therefore, in order for students to effectively use material adapted to the conditions of the modern world at geography classes, new methods are needed to help this problem be solved, and above all, the use of geographic information systems. As the analysis of foreign experience and our study on the use of GIS in the educational process with geography showed, the world faces common problems: overloading students, inability (unwillingness) of teachers to learn new technologies, financial and communication problems. In order to introduce geoinformatics methods and skills in working with GIS into the educational process from geography, it is necessary to have, in our opinion, at least four components: 1) the legislative base; 2) use of the best world experience; 3) training of specialist geographers competent in the field of work with geographic information systems; 4) appropriate software and hardware for schools to work with GIS. Conclusions and further research. Polls and experiments of domestic and foreign researchers have shown the effectiveness of GIS as a method in teaching geography in terms of increasing the academic performance of students and increasing the level of assimilation of knowledge. The SWOT analysis of the use of geographic information systems as educational technologies showed problems common to Ukrainian and foreign schools, such as the high cost of software, the lack or lack of technical equipment, and insufficient teacher training. At the same time, the results of the survey indicate that abroad the biggest problem is the lack of motivation of teachers, while in Ukraine the main obstacle is the high cost of logistics. It is promising to conduct a survey of geography teachers at the all-Ukrainian level in order to obtain a complete picture regarding the willingness to introduce the GS in the educational process, in particular on geography.

The way aeronautical information is managed and disseminated must be modernized. Current aeronautical information services (AIS) methods for storing, publishing, disseminating, querying, and updating the volume of data required for the effective management of air traffic control have become obsolete. This does not contribute to preventing airspace congestion, which turns into a limiting factor for economic growth and generates negative effects on the environment. Owing to this, some work plans for improving AIS and air traffic flow focus on data and services interoperability to allow an efficient and coordinated use and exchange of aeronautical information. Geographic information technologies (GIT) and spatial data infrastructures (SDI) are comprehensive technologies upon which any service that integrates geospatial information can rely. The authors are working on the assumption that the foundations and underlying technologies of GIT and SDI can be applied to support aeronautical data and services, considering that aeronautical information contains a large number of geospatial components. This article presents the design, development, and implementation of a Web-based system architecture to evolve and enhance the use and management of aeronautical information in any context, e.g., in aeronautical charts on board, in control towers, and in aeronautical information services. After conducting a study into the use of aeronautical information, it was found that users demand specific requirements regarding reliability, flexibility, customization, integration, standardization, and cost reduction. These issues are not being addressed with existing systems and methods. A system compliant with geographic standards (OGC, ISO) and aeronautical regulations (ICAO, EUROCONTROL) and supported by a scalable and distributed Web architecture is proposed. This proposal would solve the shortcomings identified in the study and provide aeronautical information management (AIM) with new methods and strategies. In order to seek aeronautical data and services interoperability, a comprehensive aeronautical metadata profile has been defined. This proposal facilitates the use, retrieval, updating, querying, and editing of aeronautical information, as well as its exchange between different private and public institutions. The tests and validations have shown that the proposal is achievable.
