The article considers the restaurant business from the point of view of not only the entrepreneurial aspect, but also the service aspect, which is fundamental. The reasons why people visit restaurants have been revealed. In addition to physical need, restaurants are an element of cognition and a way of experiencing positive emotions. The importance of the restaurant business in shaping people’s positive emotional state has been formulated. Two forms of emotional labor of an employee and the influence of emotional states on work performance have been highlighted. The role of emotional intelligence and communicative competence in customer satisfaction with a restaurant visit has been determined. The importance of developing emotional intelligence has been concluded. Recommendations for its development has been formulated.

The purpose of this study is to identify the level of development of emotional intelligence of preschool children. The article notes that in modern conditions, the problem of the development of the emotional intelligence of pre-schoolers is relevant, this is due to the fact that the process of globalization, changes in all spheres of life had a negative impact on the pre-schooler, subjected him to emotional tests that inhibit the development of emotional intelligence of preschool children. The author of the article proves the importance of the development of emotional intelligence in preschool children. In his opinion, the preschool age has great opportunities for the development of the emotional intelligence of preschool children. The main goal of the study was to identify the level of development of emotional intelligence in preschool children. The study involved 40 pre-schoolers of diverse ages: 3-4 years old, 4-5 years old, and 5-6 years old. The indicators for the development of the emotional intelligence of pre-schoolers are: knowledge of various types of emotions, recognition of emotions, description of various emotions, identification of the causes of the appearance of emotions, awareness of their own and others' emotions, the ability to manage their own emotional state and the emotions of other people. The above indicators helped to identify the following levels of development of the emotional intelligence of preschool children: high, medium and low. The results of the study of the level of development of emotional intelligence indicate that: - pre-schoolers have a very poorly formed emotional intelligence, there are no emotional and motivational attitudes towards themselves, people around them, peers, - there are a lot of preschool children with a low and medium level of development of emotional intelligence, there are practically no children with a high level of development of emotional intelligence, - children have deficiently developed communication skills in different life situations with peers, adults, - the level of development of emotional intelligence in pre-schoolers is higher at the age of 6-7 years, very low at the age of three, i.e. the age of children, as well as temperament, influences, sanguine people have a high level of development of emotional intelligence, girls, compared to boys, have a high level of development of emotional intelligence.

This chapter evaluates EI research, introduces the concept of engaged interaction, and explains how leaders can use EI for self-improvement. Goleman describes EI as a manager's ability to recognize the emotions in self and others. The manager then uses this information to make improvements in self-management and relationships with others. EI leads people to gain awareness by recognizing personal emotions and the emotions of others. This creates an emotional state of consciousness where people use the information skillfully and intelligently in deliberate, purposeful decision-making activities. The concept of engaged interaction is achieved when all parties participate in flexible, full-range communication, making sure to listen, hear, and understand. This open and flexible communication must continue until interaction and shared understanding are achieved. Leaders can combine EI, engaged interaction, and strategic flexibility to improve operations and team building.

With the acceleration of global aging, the service of the aged has been widely concerned by the whole society. The traditional service mode has been challenged, and it is difficult to meet the needs of the aged. In order to provide better services for the aged, the construction of emotional intelligent service based on Internet of things is proposed in this article. First, the framework is introduced, and the architecture of the whole system is given. Second, the key technologies of emotional intelligence and Internet of things are described, which mainly include affective computing and data collection of Internet of things. Third, the implementation of the software and hardware is given, and the core functional modules are analyzed. As a whole, there are two main contributions of this article. One is to give the framework of emotional intelligence service system for the aged based on Internet of things, and the other is to analyze the emotional state and the physical data of the aged so that the early-warning and intelligent services can be provided for them.

Previous research has indicated that many people often take extra time to consider existing information. They do so possibly in order to acquire more information, or even to “wait” in the hope that new information may be forthcoming before they make a decision. However, recent studies have provided scant information about how waiting affects a person's choice given different emotional states. In this paper, an experimental study was carried out to demonstrate and explain the relationship between waiting and a person's choice. Results show that when conditions are certain, more people choose to wait – when they are in a positive emotional state – in order to maintain their current mood. However, under either certain or uncertain conditions, when people are in a negative emotional state they prefer to take immediate action rather than wait. The causes and implications of this phenomenon are discussed in relation to the existing literature on emotions and choice.

In recent years, the level of crime among young people has increased, so there is a need to improve the methods of education and correction of such persons, which is why the in-depth study of the emotional intelligence of the convict is relevant. Based on empirical data, the components of emotional intelligence of male juveniles with normative behavior and convicts were compared. The following research methods were used: semantic, sociological (observation, interviewing, psychodiagnostic testing), comparative analysis, and correlation analysis. The study found that the level of emotional intelligence of juvenile convicts is lower than the emotional intelligence of normative behavior. Convicts have a lower level of understanding and control of their emotions, reduced empathy, which is expressed in the inability to consciously interpret the emotional state of another person, and reduced control over their expression. The above directly proportionally affects the ability of juveniles to commit criminal offenses, so it is necessary to purposefully influence and develop emotional intelligence and emotional competence in juvenile male convicts. Based on the constant analysis of the emotional intelligence of convicts, it is possible to more effectively identify and eliminate the causes and conditions that contribute to the commission of offenses and anti-social actions.

The article deals with the study of the main modern approaches of the concept investigation. Special attention has been paid to the methods of binary concepts analysis in modern linguistics. The research has been conducted on the example of the binary concepts HAPPINESS::UNHAPPINESS in modern English. The author has carried out the definition analysis of lexemes verbalizing the concepts HAPPINESS::UNHAPPINESS. It has been stated that the conceptual core of the binary concepts is represented by three main content components which prove their binary nature and reveal that happiness is a positive emotion deriving from the luck or the beneficial event of any kind, it is a state of well-being, abundance, pleasure and bliss while unhappiness is a negative emotional state occurring from adverse events or conditions, it is a failure, trouble, and misfortune. The research also examines combinatorial properties and synonymous series of lexemes “happiness” and “unhappiness” as a means of expressing the analysed concepts. The article deals with the actualization of key lexemes in the context, defines additional conceptual characteristics of the binary concepts HAPPINESS:: UNHAPPINESS and determines their associative field. The author has come to the conclusion that the study of the lexical-semantic representation of the concepts allows determining the conceptually meaningful characteristics of happiness and unhappiness as the key notions representing English speakers’ worldview.

The article contains examples of the psychological and emotional state of children-teenagers with disorders of the musculoskeletal system in comparison with healthy children. The ability of a child-teenager to adapt easily in the right direction in society and social environment and to find a conscious way to solve obstacles. In order to do this, it is necessary to pay attention to the importance and advantages of emotional intelligence in a person's life. The article focuses on the concepts of national and Russian scientists, as well as near and far abroad. In addition, the country provides methods for detecting the emotional intelligence of children with damage to the musculoskeletal system. These techniques help define the experiment in research work.
