The COVID-19 Pandemic has severely impacted educational systems around the globe, necessitating rapid modifications to the educational milieu while safeguarding human health and wellbeing. Following the closure of universities in Saudi Arabia, the instructors of all theory courses were mandated to switch from face-to-face course delivery to remote teaching and learning. This research examines the challenges and impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the mode of teaching and learning and the numerous adaptations in the pedagogical framework of the Landscape Architecture program at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Saudi Arabia. It also explores the opportunities the transition to online education presents to faculty and students moving forward. The data were collected using an online questionnaire survey and focus group discussions. Data analyses consisted of descriptive statistics and thematic content analysis. The research finds that the sudden transition to online teaching and learning disrupted academic activities and had negatively affected the existing teaching and learning framework. Therefore, the research recommends an adaptable and dynamic teaching framework agile enough to cope with sudden disruptions. It concludes with lessons for future teaching and learning frameworks and amendments for upcoming sessions to deal with similar situations.

The current situation of COVID 19 not only involves global health crisis but also economic and social crises. It has brought about a change in the system of education by conducting all academic activities online. Acc. to ILO, a world of universal distance education (as nearly 94% of learners have faced school closures) is created. Online education is a new concept for most Indians, creates room for incivility. Incivility is defined as a lack of manners, courteousness, and respect which deteriorates the decorum leading to disturbance in teaching and learning of the class. This study is focused on incivility in online teaching and learning. A total of 130 college students from around the country were asked to fill an open-ended online questionnaire to know their views on incivility in the online classroom. The overall thematic analysis resulted in the identification of three themes i.e. reported incidents, possible causes, and measures to reduce incivility in the online classrooms. In the time of pandemic where almost all the dissemination of education is done online to minimize the effect of the pandemic on the education system, incivility is a stumbling block. Therefore, it is important to bring incivility in online education in limelight as tackling incivility is the need of the hour.

The dramatic transition to online pedagogy in education, as a consequence of COVID19 has shownseveral inequalities and challenges and advantages in education. The epidemic of COVID-19 profoundly changed the global higher education system in 2020, and the crisis has accelerated innovation in the education sector. Anyhow, whatever the situation, high academic standards are required for a university to produce high-quality teaching outputs and graduates, and it should ensure continuously. With this intention, this study conducted to assess the efficacy of online teaching and learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on the perceptions of undergraduate students from the Selected university.A validated online questionnaire is used among the 171 students from the selected university. The primary goal of this paper is to analyse how the education system adapts to online teaching and learning, identify the preferred mode of study by the students in between face to face interaction and online learning, and identify the advantages and challenges faced by the students in online learning. The paper also aims to make recommendations for improving online teaching and learning through the use of online. The study's findings show that, even though the students are satisfied with the existing online teaching and learning in selected university, they prefer face to face learning than online learning. The study strongly recommends that improving the quality of the online education system and striving to solve students' issues in terms of online learning is required to maintain the standard in education. The study's findings shed light on government and non-government educational institutions, academics, and policymakers to enhance online education and maintain the education standard.

In the wake of the current closure of schools in Ghana, basic schools have been tasked to deliver teaching and learning using e-learning. This study seeks to explore the readiness of teachers in Ghanaian basic schools to undertake e-learning. Using an online questionnaire, data was collected from 108 teachers in both private and public basic schools in Ghana. A factor analysis was conducted to identify the challenges that influenced the ability of basic school teachers to teach using e-learning. The study findings indicated that a majority of the teacher participants preferred face-to-face teaching as compared to online teaching. The study recommends that basic schools adopt a blended approach to teaching where teachers can combine both face-to-face methods with e-learning methods. The very rapid transition to the online teaching and learning system, without sufficient training and not proper adapted to the educational needs of students (already migrated to virtual environments and digital tools), has produced some visible dysfunctions, especially in informal interactions with students. Dimensions investigated using a methodology based on the survey’s technique aimed at types of academic activities carried out during the period dedicated to online activities, participation in online activities of ‘synchronous’ type – face to face – categories of online applications used, types of platforms for asynchronous activities and classical teaching strategies most commonly used in association with online educational techniques. The population was represented by students and teachers from the fields of study administrative studies and academic categories that will provide a serious input for formulating conclusions. We propose to launch a practical module for the training of university professors on the innovative pedagogies applied to the administrative sciences and law academic fields.   Keywords: Teaching and learning, administrative studies, digitalisation / digitisation, innovative pedagogies.

Indonesia's Government has made policy in the education sector due to the COVID-19  pandemic situation. Previously teaching and learning process especially in the higher institution is held face to face, and it switches to fully online learning. This situation forces the lecturer and students to adopt online learning and effected to their learning experiences. This current study is aimed at analyzing the students’ difficulties during online learning in speaking for professional context subject during COVID-19  situation. This research was held using a descriptive qualitative method approach. The data was obtained from an online questionnaire and interview conducted to 45 students of the second semester of the English Department who joining speaking for professional context class at Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The findings of the research revealed various problems for students as indicated in the current research. A total of 5 problems arose during online learning in the Speaking for Professional class. The arisen problem was: The first problem was related to Youtube video as the source of learning materials. The second problem was dealing with the students’ difficulties in elaborating the materials given by the lecturer during an online class. The third problem was related to the students’ procedure in doing the project or assignment given by the lecturer. The fourth problem was dealing with Students’ limitations in accessing ZOOM Meetings. The Students’ learning equipment and supporting facilities also contributed as the fifth arisen problems of the students while having online learning during COVID-19  pandemic situations. The findings provide information for further development and improvement in online teaching and learning procedures. Further research on the strategy of how the students face the challenge and adapt are encouraged.

With the increasing number of students enrolled in fully online programs and subjects across different Australian universities, online education has become a popular higher education alternative. The University of Melbourne has responded to this challenge by establishing the Melbourne School of Professional and Continuing Education (MSPACE), where the learning designers (LDs), project managers, educational technologists, graphic designers and video producers work collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs) from across the university to create high-quality fully online graduate subjects. The case study presented in this article examines how MSPACE used this team-based approach to design and develop Psychodynamic Psychiatry, a six-week elective in the Master of Psychiatry. This paper examines a number of pedagogical challenges that arise when converting a pre-existing face-to-face subject to a fully online subject, as well as some relatively unique aspects in the design and development process utilised by MSPACE. While the approach provided by MSPACE currently focuses on supporting SMEs by providing access to third-space professionals, it is hoped that this will act as a conduit through which the SMEs are enculturated into the ways of design thinking for effective online teaching and learning practice.

The recent outbreak of COVID-19 has enor- mously affected every aspect of global arrange- ments with its fast and lethal reach. Originating from Wuhan, a Chinese city, this highly infectious virus has forced to impose nationwide closures in many countries impacting onsite educational systems to shut down. Considering the safety of students and following the steps taken by many infected countries, the Pakistan government initially closed all the edu- cational institutions and later allowed partial opening of schools where 30-50 % of students were allowed to attend classes in a cyclic manner. The direct and most immediate impact of this decision was an untimely break and loss of learning opportunities for all students. In order to continue with teaching and learning, Higher education commission, developed online tea- ching guidelines with the instructions to resume tea- ching, by following these guidelines. The guidelines included development and implementation of both online and hybrid curricula. Online teaching-learning is based on application of information technology tools to ensure access to learning resources for all students in the absence of face to face classes. It is conducted in the form of asynchronous or synchronous communication where-in asynchronous system tools like e-mail, discussion boards, learning newsgroups are used. For synchronous system webcasting, live chat and audio/video technologies are used for realtime class. Hybrid learning can be defined as a learning approach that combines both remote learning and inperson learning to improve student experience and ensure learning continuity.

Education worldwide has been conducted in the traditional face-to-face classroom teaching style for ages, and this includes the education in dentistry. Since the introduction of online education and distance learning, teaching institutions have gradually made e-learning an integral part of teaching and learning activities. With the emergence of COVID-19 pandemic and closure of teaching institutions worldwide, the faculty of dentistry is amongst the many that were forced to leap onto the online education field abruptly. There is a sudden need for educators to resort to online teaching and e-learning becomes an essential tool to be developed as an alternative to traditional education methods. This article serves as a review to explore and discuss the common concerns and institutional readiness in delivering e-learning and review the methods currently utilised during this time of crisis.

This paper’s intents are to render the learning outcome, success and challenges that emerge in an online teaching and learning environment in comparison to the traditional face to face classroom environment. First of all, we will examine how the students acclimate to the new online digital learning atmosphere after the traditional face to face learning environment; what challenges and barriers the students encounter in a synchronous and in an asynchronous online learning environments? Second of all, we will focus on how professors adapt to the new digital online teaching styles and examine the new essential teaching innovations that arise in order to achieve and go beyond the expected learning outcomes; how to remit to the students’ challenges and retain the positive and engaging learning environment? In addition, our aims are to examine new pedagogical innovations that naturally emerge while responding to the students’ travails and to smoothly navigate them to achieve the expected learning outcomes.Furthermore, our paper’s intents are to portray how an online learning environment can attain more effective learning outcomes in comparison to the traditional face to face classroom environment; how to think beyond our horizons and to enhance the learning outcomes in a digital learning atmosphere while addressing the students’ challenges? Moreover, we will emphasize how the immediate graded feedback and students’ feedback serve as pertinent tools in achieving the learning outcome and inspires students to learn in an online atmosphere.
