Real-world systems that are composed of various types of components, their interactions, and relationships, and numerous applications are often modeled as graphs or network structures to represent and analyze the presence of relationship, shape, and meaning of objects. Network-structured data are used for various exploration and in-depth analysis through visualization of information in various fields. In particular, online bibliographic databases are a service that is used for a myriad of purposes, such as simple search of research materials as well as understanding the history and flow of research, current status, and trends. A visualization tool that can intuitively perform exploration and analysis by modeling the data provided by the online bibliographic database in a network structure will be a very meaningful study for the exploration of various information using a large amount of complex bibliographic data. This study has modeled an online bibliographic database as an information network, and further developed a prototype of a visualization tool that provides an interactive interface for easily and efficiently performing visual exploration and multidimensional analysis. The visualization tool that was developed through this study will be used to conveniently perform various online analysis of the bibliographic data, and the information and knowledge acquired as a result of the analysis are expected to contribute to the research development of various researchers. Furthermore, this visualization tool can be applied to other types of data in the future, and it is expected to develop into a useful tool for various information network analysis by improving, supplementing, and expanding the functions and performance of the developed prototype.

Background:First discovered in the early 1970s, Acanthamoeba keratitis has remained a major eye infection and presents a significant threat to the public health, especially in developing countries. The aim is to present a timely review of our current understanding of the advances made in this field in a comprehensible manner and includes novel concepts and provides clear directions for immediate research priorities.Methods:We undertook a search of bibliographic databases for peer-reviewed research literature and also summarized our published results in this field.Results:The present review focuses on novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in details which can provide access to management and treatment of Acanthamoeba keratitis. This coupled with the recently available genome sequence information together with high throughput genomics technology and innovative approaches should stimulate interest in the rational design of preventative and therapeutic measures. Current treatment of Acanthamoeba keratitis is problematic and often leads to infection recurrence. Better understanding of diagnosis, pathogenesis, pathophysiology and therapeutic regimens, would lead to novel strategies in treatment and prophylaxis.

Background: Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is one of the leading complications of type-2 diabetes mellitus. It isassociated with neuropathy and peripheral arterial disease of the lower limb in patients with diabetes. Basically, there are four stages of wound healing namely hemostasis phase, inflammatory phase, proliferative phase and maturation phase. In case of DFU, all these stages are disturbed which lead to delay in healing and consequently to lower limb amputation. Traditionally the dosage forms like tablets, creams, ointments, gels and capsules have been used for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer from many years. Introduction: In this review the global prevalence as well as etiopathogenesis related to diabetic foot ulcer has been discussed. Potential role of various synthetic and herbal drugs as well as their conventional dosage form for the effective management of diabetes foot ulcer has been highlighted. Methods: Structured search of bibliographic databases for previously published peer-reviewed research papers was explored and data was culminated in terms of various approaches that are used for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer. Results: About 142 papers including both, research and review articles, were included in this review in order to produce a comprehensive as well as readily understandable article. A series of herbal and synthetic drugs have been discussed along with their current status of treatment in terms of dose and mechanism of action. Conclusion: DFU has become one of the most common complications in patients having more than ten years of diabetes. Hence, understanding the root cause and its successful treatment is a big challenge because it depends upon multiple factors such as judicious selection of drug as well as proper control of blood sugar level. Most of the drugs that have been used so far either belong to the category of antibiotics, antihyperglycaemics or, they have been repositioned. Moreover, in clinical practice, much focus has been given towards dressings that have been used to cover the ulcer. The complete treatment of DFU is still a farfetched dream to be achieved and it is expected that a combination therapy of herbal and synthetic drug with multiple treatment pathway could be able to overcome the disease.

The purpose of this paper is to report on a quantitative analysis of the LCGFT vocabulary within a large set of MARC bibliographic data retrieved from the OCLC WorldCat database. The study aimed to provide a detailed analysis of the outcomes of the LCGFT project, which was launched by the Library of Congress (LC) in 2007. Findings point to a moderate increase in LCGFT use over time; however, the vocabulary has not been applied to the fullest extent possible in WorldCat. Further, adoption has been inconsistent between the various LCGFT disciplines. These and other findings discussed here suggest that retrospective application of the vocabulary using automated means should be investigated by catalogers and other technical services librarians. Indeed, as the data used for the analysis show somewhat uneven application of LCGFT, and with nearly half a billion records in WorldCat, it remains a certainty that much of LCGFT’s full potentials for genre/form access and retrieval will remain untapped until innovative solutions are introduced to further increase overall vocabulary usage in bibliographic databases.

Bibliographic data contains necessary information about literature to help users to recognize and retrieve that resource. These data are used quantitatively by a “Bibliometrician” for analysis and dissemination purpose but with the increasing rate of literature publication in open access journals such as Nucleic Acids Research (NAR), Springer, Oxford Journals etc., it has become difficult to retrieve structured bibliographic information in desired format. A digital bibliographic database contains necessary and structured information about published literature. Bibliographic records of different articles are scattered and resides on different web pages. This thesis presents the retrieval system for bibliographic data of NAR at a single place. For this purpose, parser agents have been developed which access the web pages of NAR and parse the scattered bibliographic data and finally store it into a local bibliographic database. Based on the bibliographic database, “three-tier architecture” has been utilized to display the bibliographic information in systematized format. Using this system, it would be possible to build the network between different authors and affiliations and also other analytical reports can be generated.

Purpose This study aims to draw observations on the current status and potentials of the Philippines as a farm tourism destination and identify the underlying factors that inhibit farm tourism development. It intends to gauge the challenges that Filipino farmers face in diversifying farms and operating farm sites and uses these challenges in crafting strategies and policies for relevant stakeholders. It also provides Philippine farm tourism literature to address the limitations of references in the topic. Design/methodology/approach The study adopts an exploratory type of inquiry method and secondary data collection from various sources, such as published journal articles, news articles and reports, to gain insights and relevant information on farm tourism. The study also uses a threats, opportunities, weaknesses and strengths analysis approach to develop competitive farm tourism strategies. Findings The Philippines, with vast agricultural land, has the necessary base for farm tourism, and the enactment of the Farm Tourism Development Act of 2016 bridges this potential. With low agricultural outputs, the country draws relevance for farm tourism as a farm diversification strategy to supplement income in rural communities. While having these potentials, crucial initiatives in physical characteristics, product development, education and training, management and entrepreneurship, marketing and customer relations and government support must be implemented. Farmers' lack of skills, training and capital investment potential to convert their farms into farm tourism sites serves as the major drawback. Thus, developing entrepreneurial and hospitality skills is crucial. Originality/value This work presents a historical narrative of initiatives and measures of the Philippine farm tourism sector. It also provides a holistic discussion and in-depth analysis of the current state, potentials, strategies and forward insights for farm tourism development.

The semiconductor industry is facing a new era in which device scaling and cost reduction will not continue on the path they followed for the past few decades, with Moore's law in its foundation. Advanced nodes do not bring the desired cost benefit anymore and R&D expenses for new lithography solutions and devices in sub-10nm nodes are rising substantially. Subsequently, new market shifts are expected in due time, with “Internet of Things” (IoT) getting ready to take over pole market driver position from mobile. In these circumstances, where front-end-of-line (FEOL) scaling options remain uncertain and IoT promises application diversification, in order to answer market demands, the industry seeks further performance and functionality boosts in package level integration. Emerging packages such as fan-out wafer level packages, 2.5D/3D IC and related System-in-Package (SiP) solutions together with more conventional but upgraded flip chip BGAs aim to bridge the gap and revive the cost/performance curve. In such an environment, what is the importance of fan-in wafer level packages (FI WLP), the current status of the fan-in WLP industry and how will fan-in WLP market and technology evolve? This work aims to answer these questions by performing an in-depth analysis on fan-in WLP market dynamics and technology trends.

About the only way a small non-profit art museum and its library can hope to create and disseminate information about both its art and bibliographic collections is through collaboration and co-operation. The Akron Art Museum, the University of Akron Libraries, and OhioLink (the state-wide library and multimedia consortium) joined forces to compile the necessary records, images and software to connect information in the museum library’s catalogue to image files, and other biographic and bibliographic databases. Selected portions of the newly created resources are refashioned and merged with web-based lesson plans for use within the museum itself, out in the greater metropolitan area, and wherever Internet-based web resources can reach.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to present the knowledge structure based on the articles published in Library Hi Tech. The research hotspots are expected to be revealed through the keyword co-occurrence and social network analysis. Design/methodology/approach Data sets based on publications from Library Hi Tech covering the time period from 2006 to 2017 were extracted from Web of Science and developed as testbeds for evaluation of the CiteSpace system. Highly cited keywords were analyzed by CiteSpace which supports visual exploration with knowledge discovery in bibliographic databases. Findings The findings suggested that the percentage of publications in the USA, Germany, China, and Canada are high. Further, the most popular keywords identified in Library Hi Tech were: “service,” “technology,” “digital library,” “university library,” and “academic library.” Finally, four research issues were identified based on the most-cited articles in Library Hi Tech. Originality/value While keyword plays an important role in scientific research, limited studies paid attention to the keyword analysis in librarian research. The contribution of this study is to systematically explore the knowledge structure constructed by the keywords in Library Hi Tech.

This paper presents global evidence derived from a systematic review of the literature on the issues of D/deaf pregnant women and antenatal care. A comprehensive search through four bibliographic databases identified a dataset of 10,375 academic papers, from which six papers met the inclusion criteria for in-depth analysis related to D/deaf pregnant women’s use of antenatal care/clinics. Findings from the analysis revealed four major concerns for D/deaf pregnant women who attended antenatal clinics for care. These concerns were communication difficulties, satisfaction with antenatal care services, attendance at antenatal clinics, and associated health outcomes. Based on the identified issues and concerns, it is recommended that pre- and in-service healthcare workers should be trained on how to communicate through sign language with their D/deaf patients. In addition, there is a need to rapidly expand the body of knowledge on the issues concerning antenatal care for D/deaf pregnant women vis-à-vis their relationship with healthcare workers in antenatal facilities.

In this paper, based on the current status of the domestic real estate industry, in line with the theoretical basis of sustainable development, in-depth analysis of the domestic real estate industry problems encountered in the development process, made some suggestions and solutions for sustainable development
