There has been growing interest in how to foster collaborative relationships between facility managers and end-users to obtain user-centred post-occupancy data for improving design and user satisfaction. Despite this attempt, there is little understanding on how facility managers respond to user feedback and its impact on user post-feedback behaviours. Drawing from theoretical insights from organisational justice, organisational response, and service quality studies and using a case study of higher education facilities in Australia, how facility managers manage user feedback to drive collaboration between facility managers and users during occupancy is explored. Various methods were used in this case study research, including document analysis, interviews, and observations. The research findings indicate that facilitation, timeliness, redress, apology and explanation, and attentiveness and efforts are applicable to facilities management (FM) services and could influence user post-feedback behaviour. Current responses to user feedback are not satisfactory, resulting in a poor relationship between facility managers and users that negates service acceptance and the engagement in a positive word-of-mouth. To foster more facility manager–user collaborative relationships in post-occupancy evaluation, and position FM as a service organisation, there is a need for improvements in current FM responses to user feedback and the effective management of user post-feedback behaviours.

This paper will present a few of the results of qualitative, case study research conducted among students in six cities in Central and Eastern Europe. It will describe the use of images in interviews and how this enabled digging beyond cultural, customary religious belief to uncover a search for ultimate meaning and spirituality. A summary of the findings regarding the emerging values of the young people and their descriptions of what is significant to them in life will be related to Savage, Collins-Mayo and Mayo's research conducted in the UK, specifically to their theories of formative and transformative spirituality and the happy midi-narrative. The tension between a young person's actual situation and their dream about their ideal life will be discussed in terms of the research findings regarding the students' use of celebrity images in their living space. The young people's values, as they emerged from the research, will be contrasted with the values and practices of churches in this region, as seen through the young people's perceptions of traditional church and as articulated by local church leaders. The paper will include a short analysis of the current religious situation in former Soviet countries in light of the finding of the research..

The main objective of this research is to analyze the use of dialogue journal to teach writing. This case study research was conducted at one of senior high school in Cianjur. The research purposively sampling twenty students of grade XI. In order to collect the data, I used three techniques of data collection namely interview, observation, and document analysis. The research findings revealed that: (1) The reasons behind the implementation of dialogue journal were because the teacher wanted to give students opportunity to fulfill the need of reflection and expressing ideas while the belief relied on the standpoint to give non-threatening atmosphere for students to freely express themselves and to give opportunities for teacher to observe students’ progress and their personal background. The procedure of dialogue journal was done five up to seven minutes which involved three parts, those were greeting/ salutation, body, and closing. While, the learning situation was positive in the case of interaction, attitude, and motivation. Students’ responses were classified into open-ended responses which displayed students’ positive thought, feeling, and reaction because they had experienced many advantages in doing dialogue journal as well as silence which indicated the moment when the students reduced interaction to only center their attention in writing dialogue journal; (2) Teacher’s difficulties in doing dialogue journal were managing time to handle with students’ dialogue journal overload and responding to super active students. Whereas, students’ difficulties in doing dialogue journal were writing in limited time, finding suitable vocabulary, using correct grammar, and responding as well as giving suggestions to the questions given by the teacher; and (3) To cope with such difficulties, the teacher should manage a schedule to be able to correct students’ work and respond to the students’ questions. Furthermore, students’ difficulties in doing dialogue journal could be solved by giving more language skills input, doing peer correction, and encouraging autonomous learning. Keywords: Dialogue Journal, Use, Teach Writing.

AbstractThis paper sketches out a number of sociolinguistic themes regarding Mexican indigenous multilingualism, exploring a global sociolinguistic framework to understand the possibilities of continuity of Mexico’s indigenous languages and their different challenges. In pursuit of an understanding of Mexican indigenous sociolinguistic complexity a series of theoretical and methodological as well as historical and empirical traits, together with our own revitalizing efforts vis-à-vis key institutional contexts, are investigated. For this purpose, case study research findings are highlighted (e.g. Nahuatl), findings which also represent different poles of the language shift-retention continuum (e.g. Kiliwa versus Yucatec Maya).

Since Best Value was first introduced in the Netherlands in 2005 several tender procedures have been conducted following this approach, however, most documented cases have been within construction. As there is a lack of documented cases of the BVA in areas outside of construction in the Netherlands, this researches focus is to further test, explore and confirm the claims associated with the Best Value Approach and its applicability in the Facility Management (FM) industry. Using case study research, the Best Value Approach (BVA) was used to procure cleaning-related services for the Facility Management department of an organization in the energy sector. The research findings confirmed the applicability of the BVA in the FM industry through the successful identification of an FM expert supplier as the best value for the lowest cost. The results additionally confirmed the BVA to being more efficient, improve supplier risk migration measures and give a clearer view of the accepted project scope.

End-user feedback has an essential role in the requirement’s identification, prioritization, and management of the software evolution process. Several approaches are proposed for utilizing user-pushed feedback collected from social media, forums, and review systems. The collected feedback via the online channels contains a variety of information. Thus, the researchers proposed analytical approaches to classify feedback according to the data it holds. Still, recent results indicate that no single classifier works best for all feedback types and information sources. Also, online feedback does not have a direct mapping to the requirements, and it does not contain user context data. This causes wasting in developers’ effort in understanding and analyzing feedback. On the other hand, online feedback cannot be used to explore user satisfaction and acceptance of the implemented and planned requirements. Likewise, the developer cannot collect feedback from a specific segment of the users. To overcome the deficiency of online feedback, this paper proposes a novel approach that utilizes pulling feedback from users while using the software. The proposed approach consists of a model and process for structuring feedback requests, linking feedback to the requirements, embedding feedback with the user context information, specifying the target audience for the feedback request, analyzing collected feedback depending on predefined interpretation rules, which provide insights that support developers in release planning. The feedback request model and process are implemented by a tool called FeatureEcho which was evaluated in a software company by conducting a case study for upgrading a governmental internet portal. The results indicate that FeatureEcho is a valuable step towards increasing the understanding of the end-users needs which supports the decision-making procedure of software evolution.
