In this paper we present the optimal design of wearable four band antenna that is suitable to work in the fifth-generation wireless systems as well as in cellular systems and in unlicensed bands. The design of the antenna relies on a careful study of optimization algorithms that are suitable for antenna design. We have proposed a benchmark problem to compare different optimization algorithms. It is the space of voltage standing wave ratio and the gain of dipole antenna that was identified for wide range of dipole length and radius. Using this pre-calculated data, we have tuned the parameters of optimization routine for optimal performance with our benchmark. After this, we optimized the geometry of four-band wearable antenna. In the optimization process, we used finite-difference time-domain method together with simplified model of human body. The antenna design was assessed with a fabricated prototype.

Diet therapy is one of the main approaches to the treatment of a wide range of diseases of the digestive system. The treatment effectiveness of celiac disease depends on how strictly the patient adheres to a gluten-free diet. It is often disrupted due to the limited range of recommended foods and dishes, especially for children who are particularly sensitive to dietary restrictions. In this case, the development of new types of specialized gluten-free products is relevant, allowing to expand the diet both in terms of nutritional value and taste diversity. This study concerns the recipe developments of dry gluten-free mixtures using rice and amaranth with the inclusion of fruit and vegetable and berry raw materials intended for the nutrition of children over three years old suffering from celiac disease. When developing the recipes, researchers used various combinations of rice and amaranth flour, as well as fruit and vegetable powders. The rice flour composition varied in the range from 15 to 75%; amaranth – from 15 to 45%; fruit and vegetable and berry powders – up to 10%. The finished product was gluten-free cookies, muffins, pancakes made of rice and amaranth. Organoleptic evaluation showed that the studied samples of gluten-free cookies have high quality characteristics, have a pleasant taste and aroma. According to the calculated data, specialized gluten-free dry mixtures intended for children over three years with celiac disease can serve as an important source of: vegetable carbohydrates – from 26.81 to 55.19 g / 100g of finished products; protein – from 4.06 to 11.82 g/100g of finished products; dietary fiber – from 3.82 to 6.36 g/100g of finished products; and energy – from 158.12 to 333.96 kcal/100g of finished products) The developed recipess of gluten-free products can help to provide children with an adequate amount of nutrients and energy.

The equipment for the production of wide range of metal powders purposed for powder metallurgy is described. The possibility for producing of powders by the plasma centrifugal spraying is considered taking into account the gas dynamic pressure. The calculated data on the powder size for different materials are given.

The Fifth generation (5G) network is projected to support large amount of data traffic and massive number of wireless connections. Different data traffic has different Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. 5G mobile network aims to address the limitations of previous cellular standards (i.e., 2G/3G/4G) and be a prospective key enabler for future Internet of Things (IoT). 5G networks support a wide range of applications such as smart home, autonomous driving, drone operations, health and mission critical applications, Industrial IoT (IIoT), and entertainment and multimedia. Based on end users’ experience, several 5G services are categorized into immersive 5G services, intelligent 5G services, omnipresent 5G services, autonomous 5G services, and public 5G services. In this paper, we present a brief overview of 5G technical scenarios. We then provide a brief overview of accepted papers in our Special Issue on 5G mobile services and scenarios. Finally, we conclude this paper.

Abstract Buna-S is an unsaturated polymer capable of undergoing vulcanization. This may be effected by the application of heat in the presence of sulfur. The process is accelerated by certain organic substances which are used widely for a similar purpose in natural rubber. Preliminary teats have indicated that most of them are applicable to Buna-S, and appear superior to any other chemicals yet investigated. This is fortunate in view of the present emergency, as plants for their manufacture already exist and the industry is familiar with their use. In spite of superficially similar effects, more careful study has indicated that it is an oversimplification to assume various accelerators will produce ideptical effects in both polymers. A wide range of materials is now available to the industry, and the task of accurately evaluating all of them is complex. In addition, an indefinite number of combinations are theoretically possible. The present investigation was undertaken to determine what effect different chemical types of organic accelerators were likely to have on properties of fundamental importance.

Abstract Coiled tubing (CT) operations in the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) often require a long and large-outside-diameter pipe due to big diameter completions, deep wells, and the need for high annular velocity during fluid circulation. However, getting the CT string onboard becomes a challenge when the crane lifting limit is 35 t, and using a standalone crane barge increases the cost of the operation. The alternative is spooling the CT from a vessel to the platform. Boat spooling is done by placing the CT string on a floating vessel with dynamic positioning while the standard CT injector head is secured at the edge of the platform to pull the pipe from the vessel to an empty CT reel on the platform. The boat is equipped with a CT guide; special tension clamps; and an emergency disconnect system, which consists of a standard CT shear-seal blowout preventer. The technique requires careful study of the platform structure for placement of the injector head support frame, metocean data of the field, and equipment placement on the vessel and platform. The boat spooling operation of a 7,700-m long, 58.7-t, 2.375-in.-outside-diameter CT string was successfully executed for a platform at 70-m height from mean sea level. The total operating time from hooking up the vessel to successfully spooling the string only took 12 hours. Historically for the region, the method has been attempted in sea state of up to 4-m wave height and 16 knots maximum wind speed. For this operation, the spooling was carried out during an average sea state of 2-m wave height and 15-knot wind speed. The continuous CT string allows a telemetry cable to be installed inside the pipe after the CT is spooled onto the platform reel, enabling real-time downhole measurements during the intervention. Such installation is not possible or presents high risk if the CT string is taken onboard by splicing two sections of pipe together with a spoolable connector or butt welding. From a cost perspective, the boat-spooling operation had up to 80% direct cost saving for the operator when compared to other methods of lifting a single CT string onboard, such as using a motion-compensated barge crane. The planning for the boat spooling included several essential contingency plans. Performing a CT boat spooling operation in a complex environment is possible and opens new opportunities to use longer and heavier CT strings, with lower mobilization costs. Such strings enable more advanced and efficient interventions, with the option of using real-time CT downhole measurements during the execution of a wide range of production startup work. This, in turn, is critical to support the drilling of more extended reach wells, which allow access to untapped reservoirs.

Рассмотрена проблема коррекции искажений OFDM-сигнала, вызванных смещением частоты дискретизации сигнала в приемном и передающем устройствах системы сотовой связи пятого поколения. Предлагаемый метод компенсации смещения частоты дискретизации основывается на прямой коррекции искажений, вносимых в передаваемый сигнал наличием смещения, и не предполагает какой-либо оценки величины смещения. Метод предназначен для коррекции сигналов в восходящем канале системы сотовой связи пятого поколения и основывается на использовании референсных сигналов, рекомендованных стандартами 3GPP. Результаты численного моделирования показали, что использование предлагаемого метода позволяет повысить эффективность передачи данных по многолучевому радиоканалу более чем на 15% в широком диапазоне значений отношения сигнал/шум. 5G-NR, CP-OFDM, synchronization, sample clock offset, PUSCH. О The paper investigates the issue of sampling clock offset ( SCO) in the fifth generation new radio systems. Due to the imperfect SCO estimation methods, the correction methods relying on the SCO estimation are not perfect, so the proposed method directly corrects the effect of SCO without using any kind of estimation method. Our method is designed to correct the signals in the physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The method uses reference signals as recommended by the 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) standards. The results of the numerical simulation show that the use of the proposed method increases the efficiency of data transmission over the multipath radio channel by more than 15% in a wide range of signal-to-noise ratio values.

We reprint Henry Mayer's review from MIA 42:70, November 1986: This careful study of video viewing among 1,498 primary school children in South Australia looks both at children and parents. It shows that access to videos, considered in more controlled circumstances as unsuitable, is easy through a wide range of sources. Over a third reported seeing videos containing extreme violence and horror, including mutilation and dismemberment. The children are affected and report scenes they would like to but cannot forget. A smaller number report a desire to continue to remember scenes of striking violence. Sixty-one per cent had a VCR at home and 85.7% reported watching tapes at a friend's home. The report includes very detailed extracts from the responses. It is by far the most careful study yet of access and responses to content, with proposals for action.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to describe a parameter identification method based on multiobjective (MO) deterministic and non-deterministic optimization algorithms to compute the temperature distribution on transformer tank covers. Design/methodology/approach – The strategy for implementing the parameter identification process consists of three main steps. The first step is to define the most appropriate objective function and the identification problem is solved for the chosen parameters using single-objective (SO) optimization algorithms. Then sensitivity to measurement error of the computational model is assessed and finally it is included as an additional objective function, making the identification problem a MO one. Findings – Computations with identified/optimal parameters yield accurate results for a wide range of current values and different conductor arrangements. From the numerical solution of the temperature field, decisions on dimensions and materials can be taken to avoid overheating on transformer covers. Research limitations/implications – The accuracy of the model depends on its parameters, such as heat exchange coefficients and material properties, which are difficult to determine from formulae or from the literature. Thus the goal of the presented technique is to achieve the best possible agreement between measured and numerically calculated temperature values. Originality/value – Differing from previous works found in the literature, sensitivity to measurement error is considered in the parameter identification technique as an additional objective function. Thus, solutions less sensitive to measurement errors at the expenses of a degradation in accuracy are identified by means of MO optimization algorithms.
