The legislator, guided by the fundamental importance of certain rights in individual and collective employment relationships, decided to formally single out certain principles and separate them from the entire system of labour law principles, giving them the status of basic principles. The singled out principles avoided the fate of other principles, which are the product of doctrine and jurisprudence. The will of the legislator to single out basic principles is the causal reason for their placement in an act of unifying character, having reference to all employees, regardless of their employment model. Only in such a way, taking into account the rules of legislative technique as well as the dualistic model of employment and the mechanism of the interdependence of the general law with special laws (Article 5 of the Labour Code), was it possible to carry out the will of the legislator

Geography is certainly a discipline little loved by the public, even though the spatial dimension of societies is an element of fundamental importance in people’s life. This contribution aims to show how this spatial dimension is omnipresent in the daily life of people, societies and territories and tries to illustrate the specific approach of social geography in analyzing these phenomena. We will focus primarily on the manifestations of daily life that can be read with the gaze of social geography. We will then refer to the perspective of this discipline and we will go through its different levels of analysis, to finally arrive at outlining the most used methodologies and tools for conducting studies and research.

Background: In Italy, the under-30 age category was the one that joined the anti-COVID-19 vaccination campaign in an important way. This study investigates the emotional states and motivations underlying joining the anti-COVID-19 vaccination campaign. Methods: A questionnaire consisting of SF-12, STAI Y, and open questions was administered to investigate the state of health, the state of anxiety, and motivational states of the participants. Results: Of the sample, 80.7% were vaccinated at the first call, deeming the action important to combat the infection. However, 48.2% stated that they were quite worried about the problems related to the pandemic, 37.3% feared being directly infected, and 43.4% were worried about the health of relatives and friends. Conclusions: The positive impact that the vaccination campaign has had on the under-30 category is very significant for the immunization process, which is of fundamental importance for fighting the pandemic, so the “benefits” outweigh the “risks” related to the COVID-19 vaccine.

I was deeply touched and honored by the roundtable organized at the 2016 African Studies Association Conference to focus on my book, Yoruba Art and Language: Seeking the African in African Art (2014). I want to thank Professor Funṣọ Afọlayan for contacting and bringing together a formidable group of scholars of Yorùbá art and culture to that end. I was gratified that, by and large, all the panelists endorsed my premise on the fundamental importance of language in Yorùbá art studies. The first paper by Moyọ Okediji was a pleasant surprise. Even though this possibility has always existed, as I had taught a course in Yorùbá art entirely in Yorùbá language at the University of Ifẹ (renamed Ọba ̀ ́fẹmi Awo ́ ́lọẃ ọ University) in ̀ the 1980s1 , no one was expecting that his entire contribution to the roundtable discussion would be presented in Yorùbá language. Why not? I realized. The language is as fully developed as any other language in the world and it can, and should be spoken as well as written -- especially when we discuss Yorùbá art. For the benefit of those not literate in Yorùba language, Michael Af ́ ọlayan gave an elegant translation of Okediji’s paper in English. The excellent contents and presentation by Okediji touched on issues that lay at the heart of my book, namely its methodology and its insistence on the need for a Yorùbá voice to be heard literally and metaphorically in art historical discourse.

The author, presenting in a limited way the results of research on the law of the Polish People’s Republic, discusses two institutions regulated in the 1952 Act on copyright — the compulsory license under art. 16 and 17 and the implementation of the Council of Ministers’s powers (resulting from art. 33 § 1) to determine the principles and rates of remuneration for authors and contract templates. In accordance with art. 33 § 2, in relation to the provisions of the contracts covered by them, they were absolutely binding. The first of them limited the protection of subjective “ownership” rights to works, enabling their specific, although limited by their function, “expropriation”, while the second resulted in a significant and real restriction of the freedom of contracts regarding the use and disposal of copyright to works. This analysis leads to the conclusion that adapting the law shaped in a different system and political realities — in this case, its specific “totalization” — does not require large-scale changes in the existing regulation. It is only enough to modify the institutions of fundamental importance for the implementation of the principles of a specific political order. At the same time, in the reality of the totalitarian state of the Polish People’s Republic, the acts issued on the basis of art. 33 of the Copyright Act of 1952 were the most important to fulfil the purpose of these principles.

Soil is a resource of fundamental importance for agriculture, one of its functions being the balanced supply of nutrients to plants. One of the ways to make the soil sustainable is by applying organic matter, which can be of animal or vegetable origin. The objective was to evaluate the effect of adding different organic materials to the soil in relation to its fertility and moisture. Conducted an initial analysis to analyze soil fertility. Then the area was divided into plots and the treatments were applied, which consisted of 40 ton ha-1 cattle manure, 5 ton ha-1 poultry manure, 53 ton ha-1 swine manure, 30 ton ha-1 coffee straw and 0 ton ha-1 organic material (control). After 90 days, samples were taken from this soil to analyze its fertility and moisture. The treatments that best contributed to its fertility were swine and cattle manure and the treatment that retained more moisture was coffee straw.

The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the main sources, works that developed and supplemented the main elements of Confucian doctrine that appeared during the lifetime of Confucius. The main data on the life and work of thinkers who developed and supplemented the teachings of the Great Teacher of antiquity, the main options for translating and interpreting the names of treatises and basic terminology are outlined. It outlines the main provisions and ideas of the treatise "Zhong Yun" written by Confucius 'direct students, which is of fundamental importance for the process of historical evolution of Confucian doctrine, and clarifies, details and deepens the theses of Confucius' main book "Lun Yu". Against the background of the basic traditional Chinese picture, one of the key principles of Confucianism is pointed out – the principle of the "golden mean", the critical importance of personal virtue of rulers, and the main approaches to determining the formula of human nature. It is determined that the subject of interest "Zhong Yun", broader than the basic treatise "Lun Yu" and denotes cosmogonic and moral properties of the spirit, more richly interprets the inner content of the fundamental category of humanity ("Ren") constructs an integral system of categories, the sources of which are in the depths of ancient Chinese mythology. The main concepts and meanings of the work "Da Xue" ("great teaching") are established, one of the most fundamental traditional categories of which is the concept of "where" – personal "grace", "achievement, acquisition", and the uniqueness and special place of a person in the universe is the ability to follow "due justice". The quintessence of the DA Xue worldview system is the presumption of immanent virtue of human nature, which should radiate from those in power in the form of "humanity"; the basic thesis of the treatise is the attitude according to which the ruler who "does not show" virtue is deprived of his right to rule. It is stated that the work named after the outstanding thinker of traditional China, Meng Tzu, was of fundamental importance for the long evolution of Confucianism. (Meng Ke), who not only expanded the leading principles of Confucius, but also improved the teachings of the great teacher by actualizing and considering new issues. This approach transformed the teachings of Kun Tzu into a harmonious construction of judgments, which later turned into the official government ideology and worldview system of the Great Chinese society, which has existed for thousands of years. It is to Meng Tzu that the orientation to consider human nature moral goes back, one of his most original ideas is the concept of the heart-mind, which is provided on the one hand by an innate, intuitive ability, moral instinct, and on the other by benevolence. On the contrary, the approaches of another thinker, Sun Tzu, were completely antagonistic to Meng Tzu's ideas and proved the conclusion that human nature is evil. Sun Tzu's concept is located exactly on the border between Confucianism and legalism, but the Thinker (unlike the legists) believed that it was not punishments and rewards that should curb the evil nature of a person, but moral improvement and high literature, that is, culture. Sun Tzu was the first in Confucianism and proved the concept of an enlightened monarchy based on the principle of both traditional morality and the authority and power of the law. Against the background of the study of significant monographic literature, conclusions are drawn about the almost instantaneous beginning of the complex deepening, improvement and development of teaching, already by the first students of Confucius. Confucianism was formed as a method of interpreting the ancient Chinese system of symbols and concepts, categories laid down in mythological form in an active, active spirit. The development of Confucian doctrine was due to the incorporation of elements of other teachings. Confucianism essentially developed through finding common ground with other Chinese doctrines.  The key idea that emerged in the development of Confucianism is the statement that everything in a person, including his inner world, is just a reflection of the natural world, and the restoration of perfect social institutions will not mechanically restore perfect order in the Middle Kingdom. The core of the DA Xue ideological system is the assumption of the inner virtue (de) of human nature, which must be shown by those in power. In the course of its long evolution, Confucian traditional thought put certain fundamental problems and categories on the agenda much earlier than European thinkers did, of course, at the ancient, traditional level synchronous with that distant century

Background: Vascular access devices are critically important for the treatment of neonates and paediatric patients. Vascular cannulation is a key clinical skill for healthcare professionals working in the neonatal and paediatric wards. The creation of specialised Teams dedicated to the positioning of Vascular Venous Accesses is increasingly used and of fundamental importance for good patients care. The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a training intervention for the staff of the Intensive Care Units for the insertion of the short/long peripheral catheter and to create a NuVa Team (Nurse-led Vascular Access Team). Methods: At the Hevi Paediatric Teaching Hospital, a course and an on-the-job training programme were carried out for two doctors and six nurses on the insertion of the in long peripheral catheters newborns and paediatric patients admitted at the hospital. The data collected were analysed from April 2017 to December 2020. A pre and post-procedure study was designed to determine whether establishing the Nurses Vascular Accesses Team (NuVa) is associated with higher success rates and a reduced risk of catheter-related complications. Results: A total of 271 Leader-cath™ catheters were placed during the study period. The mean age at catheters insertion was 2.9 years, the mean residence time was 11.7 days. Most catheters were inserted by five nurses ( n = 216 (80%)); the remainder was entered by two paediatricians ( n = 55 (20%)), p = 0.001. General reasons for removal were home discharge ( n = 103 (38%)), deceases ( n = 81 (30%)), accidental causes ( n = 43 (16%)), leg/arm oedema ( n = 21 (8%)), mechanical problems ( n = 10 (3.5%)), physician’s indication ( n = 9 (3%)) and skin infection ( n = 4 (1.5%)), p = 0.001. Conclusions: The standardisation of the procedure for inserting the catheters placement and the creation of a NuVa Team has been of fundamental importance in gaining awareness of the procedure and allows healthcare professionals to insert the catheter without complications.
