In the case of various emergencies, especially pandemics, healthcare workers are faced with disproportionate pressures. Organizational support plays a significant role in protecting the psychological and physical health of healthcare workers. This interdisciplinary research aims to determine how changes in the physical and psychological well-being of healthcare and pharmacy workers during the first wave of the COVID-19 lockdown are related to work organization factors that support safety and stability. A quantitative research strategy was applied in the research. Data from an electronic survey assessed the changes in the physical and psychological well-being of healthcare and pharmacy workers during the lockdown period and the organizational factors supporting safety and stability. The sample of the quantitative research consisted of 967 employees of healthcare institutions and pharmacies in Lithuania. This research broadens the concept of organizational factors and provides data on their interaction with the changes of employee well-being indicators in a pandemic situation. It was found that positive changes in the evaluation of physical as well as psychological well-being during the COVID-19 lockdown could be consistently predicted by all the analyzed safety and stability supporting organizational factors that were found to be associated with subjective physical well-being and psychological well-being even when adjusting for the effect of socio-demographic factors (gender, age, work field, and specialty). The identification and proper management of organizational factors was significant for the psychological and physical well-being of healthcare workers during the lockdown period. It was found that all estimates of safety and stability supporting organizational factors during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown were positively related and could act as protective factors to the subjective physical and psychological well-being of healthcare and pharmacy workers.

AbstractA good level psychological well-being is important for inmates’ prerelease to have a good function in their new surroundings and as a predictor of resilience. Women inmates who will be release can have psychologicall distress that have negative consequences to their level of psychological well-being. The aim of this research is to see psychological well-being in inmates’ during their prerelease. This is a descriptive and quantitative research using 42-item Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale. The respondents were 33 inmates’ during their prerelease time in Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Wanita Klas IIA Sukamiskin Bandung (Women Prison in Sukamiskin Bandung) and were taken using accidental sampling in non-random sampling method. The data then were analyzed by using distribution of frequency in the percentations. The level of psychological well-being was divided into three categories: high, middle, and low psychological well-being, and the result of this research shows that most of the inmates’ have moderate level of psychological well-being. High scores were mostly found in positive relation to others dimension and low scores were mostly found in self-acceptance dimension.Keyword: prerelease, psychological well-being, inmates AbstrakPsychological well-being yang baik diperlukan warga binaan menjelang pembebasan agar dapat memaksimalkan potensi untuk beradaptasi di lingkungan masyarakat dan sebagai prediktor tingkat resiliensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat psychological well being warga binaan menjelang masa pembebasan. Metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan alat ukur 42-item Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale. Jumlah sampel 33 warga binaan menjelang bebas di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Wanita Klas IIA Sukamiskin Bandung yang dipilih dengan metode non-random sampling melalui teknik accidental sampling. Analisis data berupa persentasi distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian sebagian besar psychological well-being warga binaan menjelang pembebasan dalam kategori sedang. Skor dalam kategori tinggi paling banyak ditemukan pada dimensi hubungan positif dengan orang lain, sedangkan skor dalam kategori rendah paling banyak ditemukan pada dimensi penerimaan diri.Kata kunci: masa kebebasan, psychological well-being, warga binaan pemasyarakatan

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of psychological well being experienced by students. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between body image and psychological well being in students of SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Porong. This research is a quantitative research with correlational quantitative method. The population in this study were all students of SMA Muhamadiyah 4 Porong, totaling 62 students. The sample in this study amounted to 62 students with saturated sampling technique. In the data collection technique, the researcher uses a psychological scale, this type of data collection uses a Likert scale in the form of a body image scale (ɑ = 0.797) and a psychological well being scale (ɑ = 0.948). The data analysis technique used Pearson's product-moment correlation with the help of SPSS 22.0. The results of the data analysis of this study indicate that the correlation coefficient (rxy) is 0.246 with a significance of 0.027 <0.05, which means that there is a significant positive relationship between body image and psychological well being in students of SMA Muhamadiyah 4 Porong. The effect of body image on psychological well being in this study was 6.1%.

This study empirically examines individual and organizational factors that influence expatriates’ cross-cultural adjustment and job performance. The study was a quantitative research from 117 Thai expatriates who work in Thai multinational companies (MNC) located in Indonesia. The results of the study indicated that financial perceived organizational support influence positively towards Thai expatriates’ overall cross-cultural adjustment in Indonesia. This study found that cross-cultural training influenced positively towards Thai expatriates’ adjustment. A causal relationship between the predicting variables of cross-cultural adjustment and Thai expatriates’ job performance was not found. Results suggest important consequences for management strategies providing support to Thai expatriate employees increasing their adjustment in Indonesia.

Background: Healthcare workers in the front line of diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are at great risk of both infection and developing mental health symptoms. This study aimed to investigate the following: (1) whether healthcare workers in general hospitals experience higher mental distress than those in psychiatric hospitals; (2) the role played by religion and alexithymic trait in influencing the mental health condition and perceived level of happiness of healthcare workers amidst the stress of the COVID-19 pandemic; and (3) factors that influence the resilience of healthcare workers at 6 weeks' follow-up.Methods: Four-hundred and fifty-eight healthcare workers were recruited from general and psychiatric hospitals, and 419 were followed-up after 6 weeks. All participants filled out the 20-item Toronto Alexithymia Scale, five-item Brief-Symptom Rating Scale, and the Chinese Oxford Happiness Questionnaire.Results: Under the stress of the COVID-19 pandemic, 12.3% of frontline healthcare workers in general hospitals reported having mental distress and perceived lower social adaptation status compared with those working in psychiatric hospitals. Christians/Catholics perceived better psychological well-being, and Buddhists/Taoists were less likely to experience mental distress. The results at 6 weeks of follow-up showed that the perceived lower social adaptation status of general hospital healthcare workers was temporary and improved with time. Christian/Catholic religion and time had independent positive effects on psychological well-being; however, the interaction of Christian/Catholic religion and time had a negative effect.Conclusions: Collectivism and individualism in the cultural context are discussed with regard to alexithymic trait and Buddhist/Taoist and Christian/Catholic religious faiths. Early identification of mental distress and interventions should be implemented to ensure a healthy and robust clinical workforce for the treatment and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Big Five Personality is one of the theories of personality that consists of five personality dimensions, namely: Agreeableness, Openness to New Experience, Extraversion, Neuroticism and Conscienstiousness. Thirty-five prisoners of cases of narcotics and drug trafficking into subjects in this study. In testing the assumptions of normality of data, showed that the data were normally distributed. This is indicated by the value of significance (p-value) greater than 0.05. As for the correlation test, showed that Openness to Experience significantly positively correlated with Psychological Wellbeing (r = 0.504; p = 0.002). Extraversion significantly positively correlated with Psychological Wellbeing (r = 0.420; p = 0.012). Agreeableness positively correlated significantly with Psychological Wellbeing (r = 0.620; p = 0.000). Constinousness significantly positively correlated with Psychological Wellbeing (r = 0.473; p = 0.004). Neuroticism is negatively correlated significantly with Psychological Wellbeing (r = - 0.479; p = 0.004). The purpose of quantitative research with correlational approach is to know the relationship between the Big Five personality dimensions with Psychological Wellbeing on inmates in Prisons Women Class II A Malang. Further research is expected to contribute to the Women's Prison Class II A Malang in order to carry out the task of coaching the inmates. Conclusions from the analysis of the data is that the four dimensions of personality Big Five Personality significantly positively associated with psychological well-being. Except for Neuroticism personality dimensions are significantly negatively associated with psychological well-being.

Well-designed of an urban park is one of the best ways to achieve the city sustainable development and contributes to the quality of life in many ways. Central to this argument is the claim that the variables need to be considered and thus, this research was conducted to assess the quality of urban park by empirically evaluating through behavioral competencies and psychological well-being from the model of Lawton’s Quality of Life. A quantitative research method was employed for the research with 138 respondents in Taman Lembah Bukit SUK, Shah Alam. Results confirm that the urban park provides the potential for psychological well-being, but it often underutilized and attract the aged of 19-50 years old of a user group.

This research responds to calls for a more integrative approach to leadership theory by identifying subpopulations of followers who share a common set of perceptions with respect to their leader's behaviors. Six commonly researched styles were investigated: abusive supervision, transformational leadership (TFL), contingent reward (CR), passive and active management-by-exception (MBE-P and MBE-A, respectively), and laissez faire/avoidant (LF/A). Study hypotheses were tested with data from four independent samples of working adults, three from followers ( N = 855) and a validation sample of leaders ( N = 505). Using latent profile analysis, three pattern cohorts emerged across all four samples. One subpopulation of followers exhibited a constructive pattern with higher scores on TFL and CR relative to other styles. Two cohorts exhibited destructive patterns, one where the passive styles of MBE-A, MBE- P and LF/A were high relative to the other styles (passive) and one where the passive styles co-occurred with abusive supervision (passive-abusive). Drawing on conservation of resources theory, we confirmed differential associations with work-related (i.e., burnout, vigor, perceived organizational support and affective organizational commitment) and context-free (i.e., physical health and psychological well-being) outcomes. The passive-abusive pattern was devastating for physical health, yet passiveness without abuse was damaging for psychological well-being. Interestingly, we find a clear demarcation between passiveness as “benign neglect” and passiveness as an intentional and deliberate form of leadership aimed at disrupting or undermining followers—hence, the two faces of passiveness: “bad” and “ugly.” We discuss the novel insights offered by a pattern (person)-oriented analytical strategy and the broader theoretical and practical implications for leadership research.

This research investigating the innovative work behavior of teachers and school staff during the Covid-19 pandemic is still rarely studied, so it has contributed to improving the behavior of teachers and school staff in Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to analyze and examine the direct influence of workplace spirituality and perceived organizational support on the innovative work behavior of teachers and school staff. Besides, exploring the mediating role of psychological health variables. The research sample was 379 teachers and school staff that is analyzed using SEM-PLS. The results showed that workplace spirituality and perceived organizational support had a direct effect on innovative work behavior.Psychological well-being also affects innovative work behavior. This study also shows that psychological well-being has a role in mediating the influence between work-place spirituality and perceived organizational support for innovative work behavior. This study indicates that workplace spirituality and workplace spirituality can be directly and indirectly through psychological well-being to increase the innovative behavior of teachers and school staff in learning activities at school.
