The positive effects of active mobility on mental and physical health as well as on air quality are widely acknowledged. Increasing the share of active travel is therefore an aim in many countries. Providing bicycle-safe infrastructure is one way to promote cycling. Roundabouts are a common traffic infrastructure and are supposed to facilitate safe and smooth traffic flow. However, data on road traffic accidents indicate an over-proportional involvement of cyclists in accidents at roundabouts. In the present study, the influence of roundabout geometry and traffic flow on bicycle accident occurrence was investigated using a logistic regression approach on twelve parameters of N = 294 mostly small- and mini-sized single-lane roundabouts in the Canton of Berne, Switzerland. Average weekday motorized traffic was identified as a major factor in explaining bicycle accident occurrence at roundabouts. Further, the radius of the central island, the location of the roundabout (in town vs. out of town) and the number of legs were significantly related to bicycle accident occurrence. While these results are in general agreement with findings from similar studies, the findings regarding the central island’s radius and the number of legs underpin the need for roundabout type-specific studies: Some parameters may not prove relevant in intermediate- to large-sized roundabouts, but become critical in small or mini roundabouts, which are common in Switzerland and numerous in the present sample.

COVID 19 is undeniably one of the deadliest diseases that humanity has ever seen. It continues to affect the lives and livelihood of people appallingly across the world. Maximum discussions focus towards the apprehension of catching the infection, dwelling in homes, overpopulated nursing homes and shut down of all kinds. But, here let’s discuss the positive side of COVID 19 pandemic. As COVID 19 has spread its influence all over the world, affected countries have either announced lockdown or have implemented severe restrictions in their respective countries. Because of this, everyone dwells in their homes. Thus, exercising social distancing and functioning from home. All of the above is directed at restricting the transmission of coronavirus and expectantly ostracising the fatality from COVID 19. These transformations have also brought about some unanticipated emanations; some good things have come out of the pandemic as well. Positive effects of COVID 19 are seen on reduced road traffic, and road traffic accidents lowered levels of air pollution which has to lead to lowered heart attack rates and rejuvenating environment. Crime rates have fallen, and expenses are reduced in most places. Community action, communication amongst families, behaviour, sanitation, hygiene, online and distance education has positively impacted by COVID 19 pandemic. COVID 19 despite a bane for humans, can be thought of a boon for living beings. The habitats and elements have been purified with the stringent use of petrochemical products. To breathe fresh air and to consume purified water is a boon by itself. Now, it is time for humans to lead a caring life to every bounty bestowed on them by Nature. This thoughtful and considerate life will give hope for a healthy, stress-free life.

Injuries due to traffic accidents were ranked eighth as health problem that caused deaths in several countries. Many traffic accidents occur in Africa and Southeast Asia with mortality rate of 26.6 and 20.7 deaths per 100,000 populations in 2016. East Java Province was ranked second as the location of traffic accidents on Java. Surabaya was ranked fifth as a contributor to the large number of road traffic accidents in East Java. The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between parents’ authoritarian parenting and the experience of teenage traffic accidents while riding a motorcycle. This research is a cross sectional study and uses two stage random sampling method. From the sampling process, as many as 222 students were obtained as respondents. The instrument used in this study consists of personal data and the Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ) to identify parenting style. Data analysis was carried out by logistic regression test with α= 5%. The data collection process was carried out during April-October 2017 in public and private high school in Surabaya. Logistic regression test results showed that there is no significant impact between parenting style and traffic accidents experienced by respondents (authoritarian p = 0.966; OR = 0.967, permissive p = 0.616; OR = 1.556). The conclusion of this study is that traffic accidents are not directly affected by parenting style, but it has role in forming individual characteristics, such as decision making and driving attitudes.

The purpose of this paper is to analyse the possibility for predicting the outcome of a road traffic accident concerning the traffic environment, personal traits of the traffic participant and the vehicle, i.e. aiming to answer the question whether specific values of the factors analysed to increase the likelihood of a fatal accident. The logistic regression model that allows identifying the relationship between the dependent and independent variables were used in the research. Other methods for describing and analysing categorical variables were also used alongside the logistic regression. When analysing the results, it was recognised that the odds ratio above 1 shows a higher likelihood for a representative of the category in question to be involved in a fatal accident compared to a representative of the base category. Odds ratios of likelihoods for calculation of the road traffic accident types show that the likelihood of a fatal accident is statistically significant affected by rollovers or driving into obstacles, compared to vehicular collisions. When summarising the results, it was stated that most of the factors researched have an impact on the outcome of a road traffic accident. The influence of some factors has a higher probability of resulting in a fatal accident as compared to other factors.

The Coronavirus disease spread like fire, and millions of cases have been reported worldwide, and thousands have died. So, many countries around the globe ordered lockdown to stop the spread of the Coronavirus, which caused significant economic fallout. But every incident has two aspects, positive and negative. This article aimed to study the positive effects of COVID-19 pandemic on some specific factors and to study this topic, datais collected from various websites, web blogs, newspapers and reports on the internet. This pandemic enforced the cancellation or postponement of multiple events, which leads to a reduction in travelling and subsequently there were fewer vehicles on the road, which leads to a decrease in air and water pollution. Road traffic accidents and crime rate had come down suddenly. Due to lockdown, there was a reduction in transportation and industrial activity which allowed Mother Nature to recharge and replenish. Due to lockdown, people spent quality time with their family, fulfilled their hobbies, learnt many new skills and understood the importance of sanitation, hand hygiene and social distancing. This pandemic is a lesson for us to learn many new things. This crisis revealed that there is a need to improve our healthcare system and clinical researches. Immunity of an individual can play an important role to fight these kinds of viral diseases, and these diseases can be avoided by simply following the basic concepts of the Ayurveda. This lockdown showed the short-term depletion in greenhouse gas emissions, but this is not an option for long-lasting climate change, and we have to think about a sustainable solution to save the environment.

Entrepreneurship and business creation is a key factor to enhance the vitality and development of the Moroccan economy especially when undertaken in areas of high economic impact including the textile sector. To delineate the main determinants of entrepreneurial activity factors, we mobilized the theoretical model of planned behavior (Ajzen & Fishbein, 1991), and the model of Shapero (1993) who consider the desirability of the act of undertake as a dependent variable of demographic variables and personality traits. Our results have directed us to the proposal of some actions to be taken to increase the likelihood of undertaking in this area. Each proposed action is accompanied by an approximation of the expected positive effects on endogenous variable due to a variation of a factor

Intersection is one of the most important components of urban roads, and traffic flow is the node that realizes route change. When the vehicle passes through the intersection due to the need for traffic flow route conversion, the driver can slow down, change lanes, park, steer. A series of tasks such as acceleration, etc., must be completed, and this process must be completed at the intersection and its neighboring area. Therefore, a number of traffic conflict points are formed at the intersection and its adjacent area, and the intersection between traffic flows in different directions, Traffic conflicts such as merger and direction change occur. Traffic characteristics of intersections are more complex than road sections, and road traffic bottlenecks and traffic accidents are frequent. Good design of intersections ensures safe and efficient operation of the entire road network. Based on the analysis of the serious causes of urban traffic problems, the importance of intersections in improving road traffic capacity, traffic jams and accidents is analyzed. The basic content, types, forms, advantages and disadvantages of intersections are analyzed in detail. Carry out a specific analysis of the crossover design method classified by the crossover point, and demonstrate the existing and unsolved problems.
