The paper focuses on the fundamentals of electrochemical machining technology de-elopement with special attention to applications for micromachining. In this method, a material is removed during an anodic electrochemical dissolution. The method has a number of features which make it attractive technology for shaping parts with geometrical features in range of micrometres. The paper is divided into two parts. The first one covers discussion on: general characteristics of electrochemical machining, phenomena in the gap, problems resulting from scaling down the process and electrochemical micromachining processes and variants. The second part consists of synthetic overview of the authors’ research on localization of pulse electrochemical micromachining process and case studies connected with application of this method with use of universal cylindrical electrode-tool for shaping cavities in 1.4301 stainless steel. The latter application was conducted in two following variants: electrochemical contour milling and shaping carried out with sidewall surface of rotating tool. In both cases, the obtained shape is a function of electrode tool trajectory. Selection of adequate machining strategy allows to obtain desired shape and quality.

New media or convergence, in a few years we often hear, especially the convergence of media that are often associated with new media that is now developing, particularly media-related technology development. The rapidly of media convergence growthto advances in technology these days, especially when the advent of the Internet and the digitization of information. This media convergence brings together the name "three-C" (computing, communication, and content). Once of product a media convergence is transmediaa, in the paradigm of Transmedia, no longer known specific profession. Eg profession as creators of the film, director, screenwriter, animator, producer of the TV program, game creators, content developers, comic artist, broadcaster, author, novelist even journalists. Everything sublimate into a new capacity, the Story Teller. Selection of the research issue at Volkswagon simulation of interactive digital advertising is a new study in the field of advertising in Indonesia, especially on the concept of transmedia storytelling approach to advertising and media convergence. This study use qualitative research approach. While research method used in this research is the method of observation with descriptive type. Data collection techniques in this study using advertising document observation that in this case the advertisement print of Volkswagen Augmented Reality and literature studies / literature. From the results of research conducted can be obtained conclusion that the power of Transmedia Storytelling on this Volkwagon print reinforces a story. The impact is that consumers will be more emotionally attached to the main products and variants and derivatives. The concept of transmedia storytelling advertising can be effective in the process of imaging and delivery of advertising messages, so that the audience can engage fully in augmented reality.. ABSTRACTNuclear fuel waste disposal research in Canada is concentrating on hard-rock disposal. The research programs concerned with the man-made components of the disposal system are reviewed. Irradiated fuel and solidified reprocessing wastes are both being researched, as are durable containers, and buffer and backfill materials. This review concentrates mainly on the more scientific aspects of the research, which contribute to the selection of preferred options for the various components of the system, and which support directly or indirectly the safety analysis of the disposal concept. Some technology development is included in the program now, and this is expected to expand as confidence in the acceptability of the disposal concept grows.

The significant increase in technology development over the internet makes network security a crucial issue. An intrusion detection system (IDS) shall be introduced to protect the networks from various attacks. Even with the increased amount of works in the IDS research, there is a lack of studies that analyze the available IDS datasets. Therefore, this study presents a comprehensive analysis of the relevance of the features in the KDD99 and UNSW-NB15 datasets. Three methods were employed: a rough-set theory (RST), a back-propagation neural network (BPNN), and a discrete variant of the cuttlefish algorithm (D-CFA). First, the dependency ratio between the features and the classes was calculated, using the RST. Second, each feature in the datasets became an input for the BPNN, to measure their ability for a classification task concerning each class. Third, a feature-selection process was carried out over multiple runs, to indicate the frequency of the selection of each feature. From the result, it indicated that some features in the KDD99 dataset could be used to achieve a classification accuracy above 84%. Moreover, a few features in both datasets were found to give a high contribution to increasing the classification’s performance. These features were present in a combination of features that resulted in high accuracy; the features were also frequently selected during the feature selection process. The findings of this study are anticipated to help the cybersecurity academics in creating a lightweight and accurate IDS model with a smaller number of features for the developing technologies.

Electrochemical micromachining is one among the widely known method for machining micro holes in electrically conductive, hard to cut materials. As nimonic 75 alloy can withstand alternate cooling and heating conditions, it finds application in aero combustor liner. In this study, solid tungsten carbide (500µm) was selected as the tool to produce micro holes in the work-piece (nimonic 75 alloy). As pulsed current, results in more confined dissolution, trials were performed by changing electrical process parameter such as duty cycle, pulse on period and pulse off period and their effect on MRR and dimensional deviation were studied. Employing TOPSIS, lower values of duty cycle and pulse on period was desirable for the production of holes with better geometrical features and the similar was found to be in concurrent with SEM images.

Based on the principle of electrochemical, the processing mechanism of electrochemical machining (ECM) micro holes is analyzed and discussed, the processing model is established and the quantitative relationship is presented between the machining side gap and the electrochemical machining parameters (pulse width and pulse period, pulse frequency, duty ratio, etc.), workpiece material parameters and the parameters of the electrolyte, the electric double layer equivalent circuit constant with mathematical expression. On the basis of the analysis of the effect of processing parameters on the electrochemical machining accuracy and stability, process out the variable cross-section micro hole at an appropriate processing parameters of variable pulse width.

In order to fabricate the micro cavity with complex structure on stainless steel, the technology of micro electrochemical machining based on surface modification by fiber laser is adopted. Heating scan on the surface of 304 stainless steel by using fiber laser can realize marking. In the process of laser heating and metal melting on the surface of 304 stainless steel, oxide layer can be formed and phase transformation can also occur, and the corrosion resistance layer with predefined pattern is formed. In the next process of micro electrochemical machining, the laser masking layer severs as the protective layer to realize micro machining of micro cavity. A newly developed device of electrochemical micro machining based on surface modification by fiber laser can meet the micro machining requirement. After laser masking processing through laser scanning on the surface of the 304 stainless steel, the passivation electrolyte and high-frequence-pulse electrochemical machining power supply were adopted, and the samples with typical structures by using electrochemical micromachining with fiber laser masking were fabricated.
