In this study, based on the current daylighting situation of a museum sculpture exhibition hall, the exhibition space is classified according to the daylighting requirements of the sculptures. Additionally, the daylighting pattern for the sculpture exhibition hall and the display layout of the exhibits are summarized. The daylighting parameters of the exhibition space under different scenarios are calculated. The exhibition space is simulated and analyzed under three daylighting conditions (flat skylights, flat skylights with side windows, and flat skylights with high side windows), and the daylighting parameters are optimized based on the daylighting patterns and components. It is discovered that with the combination of flat skylights and high side windows, the daylight factor (DF) and uniformity of daylighting (UD) of the sculpture exhibition as well as glare rating of the windows are the most favorable. Therefore, the appropriate daylighting pattern and components are determined, and the corresponding optimization strategy for daylighting is proposed. The results show that the daylighting optimization strategy proposed herein can improve the daylighting quality of the museum sculpture exhibition space and yield a suitable light environment.

In recent years, climate change has been getting more serious. How to mitigate and adapt to climate change has caught the concerns of governments and academia. Firstly, this article briefly addresses the causes of climate change and its impacts, and then analyzes the link between climate change and urban settlements and the impacts of climate change to urban settlements in winter city. Finally, according to the Characteristics of winter city, the paper presents some optimization strategies of urban residential quarter in winter city addressing climate change including reducing carbon emissions, ensuring settlements security and guiding residents to public participation. Reducing urban settlements carbon emissions includes improving internal functions, combing the internal transportation system, optimizing the green mode and applying special techniques. Protecting the safety of urban settlements includes improving emergency response system, strengthening the vertical and horizontal connection and optimizing the layout of public space. Guiding residents to public participation includes establishing the information banks of urban settlements addressing to climate change and improving the quality of the residents.

Compared with the traditional power grid, UHV power grid has the character of stronger system function, higher control requirement, and also set a higher request to the daily maintenance management. The operation and maintenance experience of Shan-xi province electric power company on the UHV power grid proved the importance of establishing the new mode of management, strengthening the application of automation technology, and guarenteeing the technology and resources . In order to improve the efficience and quality of UHV power grid operation and maintenance, we should speed up the formulation of operation guidelines for UHV live working and strengthen personnel training and reserve technical talents.

The paper identified the main aspects of the natural lighting of interior spaces of residential and public buildings, affecting the light forms of education, the quality of light, visual comfort, visual discomfort, uneven illumination, and so on. The quality of architecture as a visual art is mainly evaluated because of visual impressionsthat are possible only in the presence of light. The modern period of development of society is characterized by objective civilized processes of global urbanization, as a result of which architecture itself becomes a cause of a disturbance in the state of balance of the environment for human life and the cause of the ecological crisis. It is known that under the influence of such anthropogenic factors as a decrease in the transparency of the atmosphere due to the growth of cities and industry, insolation resources are changing in residential areas. In the framework of the concept of an urban-ecological approach in the formation of the human environment, the problems of creating a comfortable bioclimatic architecture or ecological buildings that allow the multilateral use of the energy of the Sun are highlighted.Among the factors determining the quality of the environment, an important place is occupied by the natural light environment, which largely depends on the nature of the light climate. Sunlight has a comprehensive impact on all major categories of architecture, including light comfort, durability, expressiveness, and economy. The appropriate level and quality of lighting in rooms and urban areas is an important prerequisite for creating light comfortable living conditions for a person, contributes to his creative activity, increase labor productivity and improve leisure conditions. The parameters of the light environment are one of the main elements that form the microclimate of the premises.In many developed countries, in connection with the expansion of megacities, the issue of not only functional, but also visual aesthetic comfort of the environment is becoming relevant. Creating a light environment that meets the practical, psychological andaesthetic requirements of the people who live in it is one of the most important tasks of an architect. Knowledge of the basic compositional properties of lighting, the ways of its rational use in architecture, and the possession of methodological skillsin architectural design contribute to the successful solution of this problem. Lighting conditions determine the correct perception of the compositional rhythm, the proportions and depth of the premises, plastics and color finishes of the surface.The concept of a light environment includes the integral coordination of the components of natural and artificial lighting, considered in unity and interaction. The progressive reception of integrated (combined) lighting is dictated by social need and is reflected in improving the quality of lighting and in saving resources for the design and construction of buildings and structures.Modern advances in the field of fundamental and natural sciences allow us to improve the methods and means of research and forecasting in the knowledge of the complex interaction of man and the environment. The main task is to optimize the light environment in architecture with the rational use of energy and natural resources.The analysis of scientific works and design practice of architectural firms of Ukraine allowed us to identify a number of unresolved issues (in the aspect of accounting and solving the problem of the comfort of the lighting environment in architecture): 1) black-and-white shaping as a specific tool for architectural composition to achieve plastic expressiveness and as a tool for the architect’s creativity; 2) in the process of developing the facades of buildings for various purposes, the relation to the functional and formative function of light is traced; 3) theeffect of sunlight on interior spaces; 4) the effect of sunlight on residents in high-rise residential buildings. The problem of creating a comfortable lighting environment in European architecture has not been comprehensively considered to date, which served as the basis for analysis and discussion in this work.The comfort of the light environment is lighting, it is the light formation of the interior spaces of architectural objects. The comfort of the lighting environment can satisfy people in the interior according to many requirements, divided into qualitative and quantitative categories.Quantitative categories are determined by the level of necessary illumination. Qualitative categories are determined by the spectral composition of light and its distribution in space.

Introduction. The development of ideas about the influence of the light environment - the radiation spectrum, intensity and duration of exposure, on the physiology of plants, serves as the basis for the creation of effective light sources for protected ground.Purpose. Comparative test of the influence of a light environment with different spectral composition on the productivity and quality of tomatoes in conditions of intensive photo culture.Methods. Investigations were made under controlled conditions of intensive photoculture when growing dwarf tomatoes of the variety Natasha selections of the “Federal Scientific Vegetable Center” on thin-layer soil analogs with the supply of a nutrient solution to the plant roots through a slit capillary in vegetative light installations developed at the ARI. The light sources were high-pressure sodium lamps and LED lamps SD1, SD2, and SD3 with different emission spectra. Results. Tomatoes of the Natasha variety, illuminated during development with HPS lamps, formed almost the same yield with an average fruit weight of 42.5 kg/m2 per layer per year. Natasha tomato grown under LED lamps showed a tendency to lower productivity by 29% under SD1 and by 8% under SD2 and higher by 19% under underSD3 compared to that under HPS lamps. A comparative assessment of the biochemical composition of tomato fruits indicates their high quality under all tested light sources.Conclusion. Cultivation of dwarf tomato varieties on thin-layer soil analogs showed the best results in terms of productivity with good quality plant products under LED lamps SD3 with a radiation spectrum close to sunlight.

Constrained image representation employing multi-transforms has been recently developed. First, the image is divided into smaller non-overlapping subimages. Each subimage is resolved appropriately into 2-D subsignals, each of which is compactly represented in a specific transform domain. The subimage is efficiently represented by superimposing the dominant components corresponding to the subsignals. The residual error, which is the difference between the original subimage and the reconstructed subimage is minimized by adaptive algorithms. An optimization strategy selects the dominant coefficients from the various domains for adaptation. An efficient coding technique is presented to code the multi-transform coefficients. An image representation example is presented employing the DCT-Haar combination. Objective evaluations are made where it is shown that images represented using the multi-transform technique are more accurate than using the DCT for the same number of retained transform coefficients. Test subimages with a high amount of detail represented using the proposed technique show an SNR improvement of about 3 to 4 dB over using DCT alone. Finally, images, coded at bit rates of 0.44 bits/pixel and 1.23 bits/pixel employing the proposed technique verify the good quality of reconstruction.

Quality improvements in laser cutting of mild steel have been achieved by a newly developed model-based optimization strategy and its application to one-dimensional cut has been reported early. The specific aims of this paper are to assure quality of cut when cornering and generating small diameter holes. Such routines encompass a large proportion of all features processed on laser cutting systems, and therefore their successful production is significant. Currently, extensive trial-and-error based experimentation is needed in order to improve quality for these routines. Thus model-based optimization has the benefit of reducing this time-exhaustive step whilst leading to an optimal solution. Nonlinear power adaptation profiles are generated via the optimization strategy in order to stabilize cutting front temperatures. Uniform temperatures produce better quality by reducing (i) kerf widening effects, (ii) heat-affected zone extents, and (iii) workpiece self-burning effects. Experimental results are presented, and it is demonstrated that such process manipulation can produce significant quality improvements. In addition, predicted heat-affected zones correlate closely to those actually obtained. The process manipulation is successfully implemented in an industrial laser cutting system under laboratory condition.

Here, we report on the high-performance blue quantum dots (QDs) light-emitting diodes (QLEDs), in which the ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) are employed as the electron transport layer (ETL) and optimized with different alcohol solvents. The experimental results demonstrate that the properties of solvent used for ZnO NPs—such as polarity, viscosity and boiling point—play a crucial role in the quality of film where they modulate the electron injection across the QDs/ETL interface. The maximum current efficiency of 3.02 cd/A and external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 3.3% are achieved for blue QLEDs with ZnO NPs dispersed in butanol, exhibiting obvious enhancement compared with the other solvents. This work provides a new method to select proper solvent for ETL which can further improve the device performance.

<p>The study seeks to do a pathological process for Tehran exhibition spaces and provide a solution for responsive space design to meet the needs of international exhibition by looking at the phenomenon of smart building. In this study, after examining the problems associated with existing and potential obstacles, it has been tried to design an appropriate space by using smart technology through explaining the available criteria and standards for exhibition space and also reviewing and analyzing successful examples of internal and external contexts and putting together the important indicators in an suitable and at the same time an economic attractive and ideal environment for users and comparison with the current situations and defects, which seems that besides preserving and conserving energy at high-traffic public places, provides a good physical condition for visitors.</p><p>Localization and solving defects and possible barriers to hold exhibitions in order to attract more domestic and foreign audiences and promoting areas of mass communication are other objectives of this research. In order to perform the various stages of the thesis, we firstly describe, analyze and understand the current situation and then determine an outlook of ideal conditions and finally employ the result to design the space according to the exhibition space standards based on smart technology. </p>
