Students engagement is a very important variable to support students' academic achievement and success. Previous studies showed that the students who disengage will show a lazy behavior and will mislead them to dismiss their classes and even lead them to stop getting to school. This research aims to give an understanding to all professionals around the students', such as their parents, teachers, and peers about the importance of stimulating the students' motivation  so that they will engage in some particular school activities. The specific purpose of this study is to examine the correlation between the social support and students engagement at school mediated by achievement motivation. This research is a correlational research. The dependent variable (y) is students engagement measured by the school engagement index. While the Independent Variable (x) is a social support measured by using child and adolescents social support (CASS). Veriable mediation is an achievement motivation measured by Achievement Motive Scale. Data were analyzed by using the path analysis method. Participants were  120 students of senior high school number 3 Palopo selected by using the proportional sampling technique. The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation among social support, achievement motivation, and students engagement. While achievement achievement motivation can not be functioned as the mediator on the relationship of social support and student engagement, it is shown from the direct correlation which is greater than the indirect one. The results of this study contribute to the education sector in particular to minimize the students’ disengagement.

Purpose of the study: This study aims to investigate the relationship of sports participation with achievement, motivation, and innovation traits among university students. Methodology. A sample of 325 students was approached at the University of Lahore and the University of Punjab, through a convenience sampling technique. Descriptive statistics, Chi-square, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis were applied for data analysis.  The reliability of the instrument was α = 0.93. Main Findings: It was found that only14.2% of the students were active in regular sports participation and 45% had shown their interest in sports while 10.8% were undecided. The student's level of interest was above moderate. Sports Participation had no significant (p>0.05) association with age, gender, institute, locality, and family income. Sports Participation, innovation, achievement, and motivation had a significant and positive association. Innovation, achievement, and motivation were significant and positive predictors of sports participation. It is concluded that these factors were not inhibitors. Applications of this study: The university authorities should make serious efforts to develop modalities for sports participation of the students. Most of the available studies show the relationship of sports participation with demographical, social, and structural factors among the athletes or students while the current study describes the association of sports participation not only with biographical factors of the university students but also with their traits like achievement, motivation, and innovation.

Parenting is an illustration of the attitudes and behavior of parents and children in interacting, communicating during holding parenting activities. In the activity of providing this care, parents will give attention, regulations, discipline, gifts and punishments, as well as responses to the wishes of their children. Parents' attitudes, behaviors, and habits are always seen, assessed, and imitated by their children who then will consciously or unconsciously be impregnated then become a habit for their children.Parents or mothers and fathers play an important role and greatly influence the education of their children. since a child was born, it was his mother who was always beside him. Therefore he imitates his mother's temperament and usually, a child is more in love with his mother, if the mother does her job well. This study aims to determine the relationship of parenting students with leadership in MTsN Depok, knowing the relationship of religious guidance of students with leadership in MTsN Depok, and to find out how much the relationship between parenting and religious guidance with the child's leadership in MTsN  Depok. The type of research used in this study is quantitative research. The researcher used triangulation or combined data collection techniques, namely different data collection techniques to obtain data from the same source. Analysis of the data used is validity and product moment test. After calculating with Pearson correlation obtained rxy gain of 0.47. At the index 0.40 - 0.70, which means there is a moderate or sufficient correlation between variables X and Y. It turns out the results of "product r" moment, the calculated F value is 0.475 with F table 0.195. Once calculated, the amount of Fcount> Ftable or 0.475> 0.195, then the null Hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and means the alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. And it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between parenting (X1) and religious guidance (X2) with the leadership of children (Y) in MTsN  Depok.

Abstract Background Teenage parenting is recognised as one of the greatest health and social problems in South Africa. Research in South Africa has shown that by the age of 18 years, more than 30% of teens have given birth at least once. Teen mothers may feel disempowered because they are ‘othered’ and consequently, may develop forms of resistance which in most cases may inhibit their ability to parent. Social support is therefore, an imperative intervention for successful teen parenting but this is not clearly understood in South Africa. This study aimed to compare the relationship between parental efficacy and social support systems of single teen mothers across different family forms. Methods A quantitative methodology with a cross-sectional comparative correlation design was conducted with 160 single teen mothers who resided with a family in a low socio-economic community. The participants completed a self-report questionnaire that comprised of the Social Provisions Scale, and the Parenting Sense of Competence scale. Descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation were used to investigate the data. Results A significant positive relationship between social support and parental efficacy was found. When comparing different family forms, single teen mothers’ residing with one parent reported greater levels of parental efficacy and single teen mothers’ residing with two parents, re-counted high levels of social support under the subscales; guide, reliable and nurture. However, when computing for guardian-skip generation, results show that there is no significant relationship between parental efficacy and social support. As well as no correlation across subscales of social support. Conclusion The positive relationships between social support and parental efficacy are important for planning and applying parenting programmes amongst single teen mothers and facilitating awareness regarding the importance of social support and family forms when considering parenting practices.

Only a few birds besides domestic pigeons and poultry can be described as domesticated. Therefore, keeping a pet bird can be challenging, and the human-avian relationship will have a major influence on the quality of this cohabitation. Studies that focus on characterizing the owner-bird relationship generally use adapted cat/dog scales which may not identify its specific features. Following a sociological approach, a concept of human-animal relationship was developed leading to three types of human-animal relationship (impersonal, personal, and close personal). This concept was used to develop a 21-item owner-bird-relationship scale (OBRS). This scale was applied to measure the relationship between pet bird owners (or keepers) (n = 1,444) and their birds in an online survey performed in Germany. Factor analysis revealed that the relationship between owner and bird consisted of four dimensions: the tendency of the owner to anthropomorphize the bird; the social support the bird provides for the owner; the empathy, attentiveness, and respect of the owner toward the bird; and the relationship of the bird toward the owner. More than one quarter of the German bird owners of this sample showed an impersonal, half a personal, and less than a quarter a close personal relationship to their bird. The relationship varied with the socio-demographic characteristics of the owners, such as gender, marital status, and education. This scale supports more comprehensive quantitative research into the human-bird relationship in the broad field of human-animal studies including the psychology and sociology of animals as well as animal welfare and veterinary medicine.
