In the last decade, gamification has become one of the teaching-learning strategies that has received the most attention in the world of education. This new tool uses the elements of the games to design experiences that attract the attention of students, increase their interest and motivation, and improve their learning results. Nevertheless, despite the potential of gamification, teachers are faced with the difficulty of fusing curricular elements with gamable elements to achieve an effective educational experience adapted to the curricular level of students. For this reason, the present chapter aims to design a didactic proposal of gamification destined to work with contents of physical education in the pre-school stage. This chapter shows that gamification can be used in the field of early childhood education without the need to use a large amount of educational resources, if teachers have knowledge about the process to be followed to adapt the curriculum.

Learning strategies are very important as a means of carrying out the learning process so that learning objectives are effective and learning materials can be absorbed properly by students. Learning will not be effective if the learning strategy is not suitable for the situation of the students. Early Childhood Education (PAUD) has unique characteristics, namely in the form of direct activities and various situations related to concrete interests and experiences that can be observed with motor activities. By using a descriptive qualitative approach, this article is intended to describe four learning strategies that can be applied to teach Christianity in Early Childhood, namely edutaintment learning strategies, expository learning strategies; problem-based learning strategies and learning strategies through storytelling.

If we are committed to the health and development of children, we need to recognize that the vast majority of the world's women are working women. In Africa, 80% of the women are actively engaged in economic activities outside the home. The "economic miracle" in Southeast Asia was made possible by the nimble fingers of thousands of women working in textile and electronics factories. There is need for pre-day-care advocacy for infants, through promotion of breast feeding and maternity leave. When the mother returns to work, the standard of the International Labor Organization should be applied, namely "...the care of children while the parents are working cannot be ignored because it forms a focal point on which three main concerns of development policy—work, health, and education—converge." Several principles emerged from the presentations in the international panel: 1. Child-care programs must be community based, using the resources of the families and the community organizations themselves. 2. Programs require the active involvement of the communities, women's groups, and other partners. 3. Programs are modified by innovations created by community organizations, universities, and other groups. 4. Programs require the mobilization of trained young men and women into the field of early childhood education and development. This international panel provided an overall uniting theme, that throughout the world the hope for the survival and better life for children unites parents of every country and every creed. This is one of the most powerful and strongest motivational resources in the world. We need to recognize the power of this hope and address that hope, providing with a certain degree of humility that there exist no single model, and no single country has all the answers. By respecting the ideas of the many innovations and different approaches of women, parents, and families, we can find the answers. There is a clear need for national networks as well as for international networks, exchanges of information, sharing of experience, and mobilization of the social resources in advocating early childhood education and development for the world's children.

The existence of COVID-19 which still hit Indonesia until in November 2020 had a negative impact on education in Indonesia, especially early childhood education. This makes learning, which was a face-to-face system, must be changed to distance education. In order for learning to continue optimally, of course, the teacher must be able to apply different learning strategies. In the pandemic era, schools implement online learning strategies, including at the Playgroup level. Online learning for children, of course, presents its challenges for the teachers. This study aims to investigate online learning strategies at the playgroup level. Play is also a means for children to channel their great energy and discover new things that were previously unknown in a fun way. And this is certainly different from learning that is understood by adults with all the rules and demands at the end. Playing (while learning) in early childhood has a purpose that adults may not realize, where when a child plays, in fact he is developing the potential that exists within him to become a solid initial capital for himself in the future when facing problems in life. This paper is expected to provide references and education to parents and early childhood teachers in particular to be able to understand the world of early childhood, one of which is by understanding the nature of play and the meaning of play for early childhood. This is obtained by exploring various sources from several literatures from the results of research and thought where the results can be used for early childhood parents and teachers to be more precise in assisting and designing learning for early childhood so that the pearl of early childhood learning, namely playing while learning can be achieved.

This study aims at describing and analyzing the internalization of national awareness through raudlotul athfal (RA; an Islamic early childhood education institution) with the spirit of Aswaja an-Nahdliyah. Aswaja an-Nahdliyah is an ideology adopted by Nahdlatul Ulama, a major Islamic religious organization in Indonesia. This study argues that the internalization of the national awareness needs to be instilled from early age to anticipate the influence of globalization which is feared to erode the original character of a nation. Within the study, the qualitative method was adopted in order to answer two research questions: (1) how Islamic early childhood educational institutions develop nationalism awareness through the teachings of Ahlusunnah wal Jamaah; and (2) how the institutions construct the awareness of nationalism through the teachings of Ahlusunnah wal Jamaah. The results of the study show that the internalization of nationalism awareness through Islamic early childhood education institutions with the Aswaja an-Nahdliyah’s spirit has been carried out through curriculum content which has been systematically arranged in each research subject with the principle of considering early childhood characteristics. At the same time, the results of the study also show that the construction of nationalism awareness in the Islamic early childhood education institutions can be seen in Islamic holidays and national activities which were held on the Islamic early childhood institutions.
